Excellent tie-in for the upcoming Pathfinder module - Rage of Rovagug: The Rough Beast Needs Roughage!
Can you imagine the action?!? PCs falling into the pit of peptic ulcers! Making their escape in a chase through the small intestine only to find a herniated dead end! Surviving the onslaught of the Colonic of the Gods!
And the dialouge!
Ulaf: "See, the map says the treasure is in the depository."
Krang: "Since when is depository spelled with an S?"

Any ideas which of these is closest to the inside of a behir? Also what other insides are there. I'm pretty sure if there's been a chance for a party member to be swallowed whole, I've used it before. I just can't remember them all.

I can vaguely understand making this for creatures that have a discernable anatomy. But...
"Giant Slime Blob"
Really?
I can see that, for instances when you've been swallowed by ... a giant slime blob (could probably also work for gelatinous cube? Giant gelatinous cube?). Those seconds while you have to swim and you're suffocating and you're taking acid damage are critical.

My point is that oozes have no discernible anatomy. Having a "map" of its interior seems rather pointless.

hahahahaha!!! Almost like the Far Side cartoon sign that reads "Beware of Doug"!!
And you know what's sad? It wasn't until MUCH later I realized I'd made a Monsters Vs Aliens joke.
I dunno which I would prefer: being named Bob and occasionally called a Giant Slime or being a Giant Slime who gets called Bob...

Are the real tiles just going to be sihouettes with a couple of squares in them?
I was hoping for something a bit more...artistic?
Either the guts themselves or replace the sihouettes with an actual color drawing of the monster in question with squares superimposed. That way, even with the square, teh tile could serve double duty as a standing for the monster itself...
As it is, this is interesting, but not as impressive looking as I'd hoped.
(I'm still getting it as part of the subscription, though).

Ditto, thought the same when I saw the silhouettes with squares in them.

Thanks for the followup on this set. This was indeed a tricky one. I did, for the sake of saying, illustrate a sample to what the innards would look like and it was distracting to the environment textures and didn't work right with the slightly modified shapes of the creatures. So, we bagged that idea. You know what guts look like, so this is a case where you can let your imagination step in. I did make the gelatinous cube NOT a silhouette for obvious reasons...plus I wanted to fully illustrate it with things floating inside. Fun stuff.

Yea I can see where this would be very tough to do. I wouldn't even want to fathom how to do it but....
As to a case where you can let your imagination step in
.....doesn't bode well for a person to see a reason to get this item. If I am using my imagination I could just draw it on a dry erase mat.
Of course I have a subscription so will be getting it nonetheless but just for that reason alone.
I do not mean to take away from the hard work put into it and I am sure will still find a use for them. Just.....meh. My imagination do not....
At any rate thank you for responding and look forward to other products you do up.

The idea with these cards, though, is basically to use them to track things that have been swallowed whole. If you're fighting a tyrannosaurus, for example, you keep the T-rex mini on the table doing his thing, but you put the T-rex swallowed whole card down to the side of the battlemat. When someone's swallowed, you just put them into one of the squares inside of the rex silhouette on the card—each monster has enough squares inside it that corresponds to the amount of folks it can swallow, so you can use this also to keep track of when the thing gets full.

An interesting idea...but I honestly don't see these getting dragged out just for that.
And if this is your intention, why not draw the actual monster instad of just the silhouette. Like I mentioned, then these could be used as standins for the monsters as well...I am a horrible artist, but even I can draw a silhouette, not as good as these, but if all you're doing is a basic idea of where they are cutting themselves out, you don;t need a detailed silhouette..

As Corey mentioned above, the original test that DID have the monster all illustrated was WAY too distracting. So silhouettes made sense. They were something we had the time to do, and more importantly they're not so hopelessly cluttered with detail that they fail to do the simple job of what they're trying to do.

Though it might be kind of disgusting, perhaps a future map pack could actually be the interiors of colossal creatures, with fleshy terrain and nauseating clumps of blocking terrain?
They could double as maps for romps into various lower planes, or better yet, realms of pure madness.
Well... unless this map pack does SUPER well and sells out SUPER fast, we're unlikely to do a Swallowed Whole II set. This one's kind of an experiment when it comes to map packs, after all. A map pack of strange and vile organic hellscapes and nightmare worlds would best be done as a "Realms of Madness" map pack or something like that.

Awesome. My players are going to HATE this.
Especially when I start giving all the monsters the ?Snap? feat, since most of them have Close Quarters Fighting.

Which I hope it does well....but I know I'll only be getting one and that is only because its part of my subscription.
Actually this is the only time I have actually contemplating doing the cancel then restart thing to skip it. Might still but not sure if worth the trouble.

Kind of my feelings too after seeing the preview.
This is the first map pack that left me feeling less excited after seing the sample images.

It is worth it - we vote with our money.
I do NOT want to financially impact Paizo in a negative way, but how else can we send a strong signal concerning specific items? This isn't negative because it helps steer the ship away from rocky coasts and out into the deep financial sea.
Anyway, the "strange and vile organic hellscapes" might be what we were all looking for.
