Curious, will there be any direct reference to this map in some shape or form in Second Darkness: AP
Cheers,

That's the plan! I don't wanna drop in any big spoilers for the adventure path itself, but at two points in Second Darkness there'll be some wandering around in the underground caves and a bit of Darkland exploration; this flip-mat will be perfect for wandering monster encounters, and we'll be looking to incorporate it in a few other ways as well.

It won't be required though, will it? Not like the Forest Flip-Mat was for TC1?*
* I know that it wasn't actually required, but it was referred to in a way that made one feel like they weren't getting the most out of the adventure without it.

May I ask, what is the point of hiding the majority of the flip-side?
I so far have three Flip-Mats, and am VERY happy with them. But I have been slow to buy some because I would like to know what I'm getting. I actually was going to avoid the "Keep" map, bacause I thought it would be of limited usefulness. My local game store had an opened one and I asked to see both sides. When I saw the wilderness side I was sold. Would have bought it much earlier if I had seen that.
Now here we are again with a new mat and the backside is hidden again... ???? why?

Well that's just good salesmanship, isn't it? :)

1st off excellent product! my group has been picking up the various flip matts and we have been getting alot of use out of them.
That said im hoping you can help me figure out a solution to a small problem I have.
The other night during a session I failed my reflex save and spilled a large tumbler of tea across the darklands map, it soaked through the laminate on the side and grayed the edges of the map. It's still usable, ( I let it air dry and taped the edges down with a thin strip of packing tape...) but I was curious if you had any recomendations about relaminating it.
Thanks!

This map is required on a recent PFS scenario.
But it seems like you are out of stock.
Just letting you know.
Thanks
They are actually not required sir. You can draw them out and the like too. Some even print the map out at a local print shop or at home printers too.
It does say where the map is from this is true. But it is only a suggestion if it is available to you for use. I tend to like to have the flip mat handy if it is possible myself so I am usually in the same boat as you and trying to get the mat if I am able to. Luckily I have quite a few though.
I wish you luck. You might want to try Ebay as they usually have them on there and even the back-ordered and out of print Flip-Mats.
Good luck.

I share your dismay that this map sold out right as #5-08 was released. The good news is that the maps in The Confirmation aren't critical to the enjoyment of the scenario. This map in particular doesn't even need to be used unless the PCs decide to attack Uori.
