I like my days as an old shadow priest, you know….melting faces ;). I like all styles of play. I’ve had just about every character type in first edition. Successfully negotiated Bonekeep so I like the characters to be able to take a hit and dish it out as well. My first class was sorcerer who I loved playing. Second class was barbarian 2, alchemist 10 (monster mode with numerous natura attacks) and my 3rd was an inquisitor.
Just to have a good time. Play in group back home with older VCs and LT that have been around a while. We can shoehorn just about anything into a group. I want some novel, effective and fun class to play. I’m leaning towards a new summoner but open to all options. As this will be my dash one character, it will be around awhile.
I’ve been away from PFS for a while. I have a level 2.0 2nd edition character ready to change build before going into lvl 2. So, I’m looking for a fun strong caster build but not sure what’s the best options out there. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks. I’m intrigued by new method of race boon combinations. If it unlocks a boon similar in rarity as some of the charity races (may be year or so removed), it would at least allow for some to come back into play.
Perhaps goblins can finally come back. I would love to sacrifice boons to be able to play one. (Not joking. Love these little green guys!)
I meet people by volunteering. There are some quality people who dedicate their time to make the con a great experience. As for meeting people, I'll have a beer with any PFS player (or age of course :) )
I hope everyone enjoyed the con. It was great to meet some new people and see old friends. Looking forward to next year's events. (Hopefully my fellow roommates got back to Washington State without a problem...and no cars were towed!)
Thanks Chris. Yes, the intent of this thread is to focus on the victims and their family/friends. There are political implications but they should be in a different thread.
Im always amazed to see communities come together after a tragedy. Still in my thoughts and prayers.
Another cowardly attack, this time targeting kids and young adults in the U.K. I wanted to speak out against these despicable attacks and extend all that I can to those impacted by these senseless actions. To the extent possible in a message board, I wanted to let y'all know that I stand with you!
Don't forget items like rings of summoning affinity. For example, the angel one:
Aura: Faint Conjuration [Good]
CL: 5
Slot: Ring
Cost: 7,200 gp
Category: Ring
This ring is cut from transparent crystal. If the wearer can cast summon monster spells, the wearer adds cassian to the 3rd-level list of monsters she can summon with those spells, adds movanic deva to the 7th-level list, and adds monadic deva to the 8th-level list. Also, once per day on command the wearer can use this ring to summon a cassian, as if by the summon monster III spell.
Construction
Requirements: Forge Ring, planar ally or planar binding, creator must be good Cost 3,600 GP
The sculpt still looks nice, just a very subpar paint job. Hopefully this mini will be released in the pre-primed set so I can give it a proper paint job.
Hope this mini looks better than the two pictures I've seen of it. Both here and at coolstuffinc, the paint job looks horrible and I was looking forward to this figure.
Only problem with case subscription, well two problems, delays in getting the product (still waiting on mine) and Paizo's shipping cost are high compared to other options (I.e. Free shipping on items of x value).
The perform oratory is for day job and fluff :). Point taken about CHA. It was higher when I was thinking about channel cleric. Also, I'll flip sacred summons for augment summons and pick up sacred at 5.
For items, I'm more familiar with that than clerics. I'll eventually pickup rod of Reach (lesser), headband of wisdom, belt of con, courageous long spear and then go from there.
I think I'll drop reach and go sacred summons/evangelist. Here is rough draft build. I haven't bought any items yet.

I never recommend any channel builds on a cleric other than the Hangover build. Usually is not worth it on a cleric. If channeling is your thing go with a Oracle, Hospitalier Paladin, or Oradin build. CHA based classes just do it better.
With that said I recommend the Evangelist Cleric. Bardic Performance is ALWAYS welcome at a table. I do recommend Variant channeling since the channeling is already dwarfed.
As far as which build to do that is up to you there are plenty of ways to build an evangelist Cleric
1: Reach Cleric
2: Reach + Summoner
3: Pure Summoner
4: Pure Caster
Personally I recommend a Reach + Sacred Summons build w/ Heroism Domain. This kind of build will let you flow with any group and fill several positions as needed. Since in PFS you have no clue what will be needed at each session. The action economy is great with this style of build in the Mid Levels. By Level 8 you end up being one of the most effective builds at the table with amazing action economy. Everyone will love your Standard action summons, Move action Performance, and Swift Action Heroism. Makes stomping in encounters very easy.
That could work. Any recommendation on feat selection? Also, have you tried defense sub domain instead of heroism?
I'm breaking the seal on my meat locker and bringing out a grandfathered aasimar to play during PaizoCon. Character is level 4.1 and will be a Cleric. As all of credit, except first scenario, is GM credit; I can make want I want.
Help me build a fun, effective and unique build for PaizoCon. Only restrictions: (1) race is aasimar, (2) will be a Cleric, (3) PFS legal; and (4) fun to play and effective at what they do.
Let's be clear, that situation doesn't negate Professor being about as terrible a pet owner as you can get in a PFS character.
(He got rebuilt after that lv 1 session, by the way, due to me not wanting to give GMs the headache of scorpion whips. So he's been sitting as a grandfathered tiefling character for the past 4-5 years. I may break him out at the Con if I find myself scheduled at a low-level table. :P)
My meatlocker of tieflings and aasimars salute this :)
I'm officially in for my first PaizoCon... looking forward to both meeting new people and seeing old friends! Anyone who wants to socialize, gimme a seat in any particular games, and/or just share some drinks hit me up.
(EDIT: And catch up with the Minneapolis PFS contingent... I've been awol from PFS for like three years now.)
