If you're familiar with AAW Games and its release of the "Rise of the Drow" adventure path originally released for Pathfinder 1e but later converted to 5e, then you'll be happy to know that the award winning module now has a direct sequel where you play drow or drider in a revenge plot (ie. evil campaign).
Check out the Kickstarter here and read up on the module, premise, background, and see all of that this has to offer.
Also, I'm one of the writers for this module, as is reviewer Thilo/Endzeitgeist, AAW Games staff Jonathan Nelson, and David Ross, just to name a few.
I hope everyone who backs this, enjoys it to their heart's content.
Note that while this module is currently written for 5e, there's been enough people asking for conversions that PF1e and PF2e are very likely after we see how successful the Kickstarter is.
Back in the day, I'd have defaulted to asking this question on the James Jacobs thread where he answered lore questions and such, but that doesn't seem to be available anymore and I couldn't see anyone take over that. As such, I'm hoping I can post here and ask.
I haven't really had much in the way of monsters aside from diseased rats and some oozes, as I've mostly been using diseased cultists, and lately I've added the the plague bearer template , but the PCs are going to be heading to a temple soon, and the creature that's been causing the ruckus will be revealed to be a leukodaemon. However, I don't have any minions for it.
What are some good monsters that would worship or work for such a creature? If there's a Golarion lore specific series of monsters, even better.

Samurai Sheepdog sent out a request back in April for people to come and submit entries for a charity bundle for Owen Stephens, who is currently battling cancer. Myself and many others wrote up boss encounters for Pathfinder 1e, Pathfinder 2e, Starfinder, Cypher System, 5e, and OSRIC. That bundle is being released today, and will have periodic updates as more is added to it.
Please consider donating. If you can't, please share this around so that others can donate and share. Every bit helps.
Charity Bundle
This was brought up on Reddit, but no one seems to know so I figured it'd be best to ask here.
The Gallows Rope wondrous item from Mythic Adventures says "...any time the wearer is reduced below 0 hit points he gains DR 10/— and fast healing 5 until he regains consciousness."
So, the question is, if you have Diehard, since you would still remain conscious, does this magic item simply not work for you? Or is there a loophole that you'd still gain the healing until you would normally gain consciousness?
I am happy to announce that PDG's very first 5e book that converts the races found in the Porphyra Roleplaying Game to 5e, is now available.
Inside Races of Porphyra 5e, you'll find write-ups on the anpur, dragonblood, erkunae, eventual, orcam, and the zendiqi human. In addition, there's also the Porphyra orc, as well as the ilurielian elf and stone dwarf subraces, and two racial feats.
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/347320/Races-of-Porphyra-5e.
If there's interest, we're looking to do a second volume for the lesser known races of Porphyra. As well, I'd like to bring other elements over, such as new classes and subclasses, and even monsters.
I'm currently stuck at max, which is lower than I thought it'd be. With the current sale going on right now it's impossible for me to not try get as much as possible in one fell swoop. Please allow me to buy more than the current limit. Looking for at least double my max.
I'm trying to go through the forums, both regular and VO, and no matter what I click on, or if I try to post, or click on subject, I IMMEDIATELY get sent to either paizo.com or paizo.com/organizedplay. No exceptions. Why? It doesn't even have that link attached to the tab when I hover my mouse over it. Doesn't even matter if I click on Focus/Defocus, I will be sent to those two links.
Found a random PFS number card left behind at a convention, and I'm not sure if it got activated or not. Is it possible to search and find out if #224419 has been activated already? I know there were a few new players. I'll be better if I know the player did it on their phone, otherwise I'll probably have to keep a look out for her at our local gaming store/cafe.
Thanks.

Was looking at the ghost rider and it's so confusingly written. I've got two main issues that I don't see being fixed at the moment that I'm hoping to get clarification on.
1) As the ghost mount levels up, the damage for its two slams also levels up. Except it doesn't have a slam. Are the hooves its slams? But the bite stays the same? That seems unbalanced. Do the hooves and/or bite not count as slams, meaning your ghost mount only has the 1d4+3 and 1d6+1 for all 20 levels? Because the Str doesn't get any better due to it being a phantom. If that's the case why would you ever take it? It's not even remotely competent for dealing damage in battle. And I'm aware that it's basically immortal.
2) What is the point of the ghost wind ability? At 11th level, the ghost rider’s ghost mount can use air walk (as the spell, no action required) at will for up to 1 round at a time, after which it falls to the ground. One round? What can you do in one round? And then you plummet to the ground. Doesn't say it won't provoke AoO when you drop down that 10-50 feet. By 11th level I'd probably have horseshoes that do better.
This is currently the issue. Our paladin (who gifted some magical full plate from his deity's temple), just found a belt of physical perfection. Unfortunately, he's already got too high of a Dex to get much use out of it, but Str and Con will go up. We were wondering if there was any way to bump up an armor's maximum Dexterity besides levels of fighter, hellknight (and variants of), or variant multiclassing? Specifically, in 3.5 there was the +1 armor ability, nimbleness, that increased it by +1. I heard that there's something similar for Pathfinder, but don't know where it is. One of the armory books maybe?
We're only allowed to use Paizo products. No 3PP.
Also, second question, is there a way to turn armor into a mithral set without starting from scratch? Like with lesser wish? We're not in a very good location for buying or selling rare or magical items and materials. Kind of in the boonies and will be for about 2-3 more levels minimum.
Last year I mentioned that our convention board announced that the theme was "It's a Trap!" and needed trap heavy scenarios. This year, will be the 40th anniversary of the convention, or XL, so the theme will be "extra large". At their request, the tournaments and PFS scenarios have been asked to involve giants or giant-kin in each of the adventures. Barring that, scenarios that involved incredibly large creatures, but the preference is very much giants. The VC has already dubbed "King of the Storval Stairs" will be one of the games, and 3D terrain has been built for it. However, that's just one scenario for an entire weekend.
Short of using sanctioned Adventure Path scenarios, which unfortunately don't do very well at our convention (unless they can play all of them in a single weekend), does anyone have any suggestions for Giant themed scenarios? Each slot is six hours and we'll only be doing Pathfinder 1.0, not the playtest stuff.
Thanks in advance.
The Additional Resources page was updated, and the Planar Adventures is one of the books added. The only thing I found that wasn't quite right is the "anointed holy symbol". Anointed isn't italicized, but everything else is. Not corrected it makes one think that all the items listed thereafter are also anointed, which is not the case.
Add. Resources
Two of the newest scenarios posted in Season 10, 10-12: Breath of the Dragonskull and 10-13: Fragments of Antiquity have a copy/paste error for the summarized description of what their adventure is. They are both tier 1-5 and both start off saying "What began as a straightforward mission..."
They can't both be the same 1-5 scenario.
Here are direct links to both.
Dragonskull
Fragments
I'm going to be running this very soon, and I noticed one very large glaring error in the final encounter. Yarrix doesn't have the bleeding touch ability because she doesn't have the Death Domain. She has the Void Domain, and therefore has the +2 vs. mind-affecting effects, which is useless for her given her creature type. So my question is this: which is correct? Does she have the Death Domain, or does she have the Void Domain? The reason this is such a big deal is her tactics specifically call out the Death Domain ability to be used. Because she does not have it listed, she has no back up tactics.
My group will be doing Carrion Crown soon, and because no one's volunteering to be the healer, that leaves it to me. I have an idea for a melee cleric (angelfire acolyte archetype), but I was wondering if anyone knew of a build for the oracle that allowed them to be a life oracle, but still could be offensive in battle. I'm already looking at taking Selective Channel and Purifying Channel, and blackened curse. That -4 to attacks is pretty detrimental though.
I wouldn't necessarily have to be a heal bot, but life oracle would definitely have its benefits.

“Tempered champions are trained to master their deities’ favored weapons.”
That’s interesting considering both the base paladin and the archetype aren’t proficient with the deity’s weapon like a cleric or warpriest are. Can we please make an errata that fixes this? Kind of difficult to “master” a weapon when you’re dumping feats just to be proficient in a deity’s exotic weapon or unarmed strike.

So these are the problems related to the 64 page module:
- The Racers in Rum Punch are described as human pickpockets with 14 HP, but the actual stats in the NPC Codex makes them Thugs (figher 1/rogue 1) with 16 HP. Otherwise they'd be CR 1/2 with 5 hp.
- Mother Grund, who was originally supposed to be a sea hag witch 1, now being an "advanced hag" for CR 5, but is actually a CR 6. A regular green hag is CR 5 so that's fine, but now we have no tactics. Mainly because there's no horrific appearance, ray of enfeeblement, or evil eye. Or is it a misprint and she's supposed to now be an advanced sea hag? But then the "reduced to 45 hp" wouldn't make sense either. I can see the witch part more due to not having the king crab familiar she's described as having.
- In the fight with Mother Grund, the text calls out for two Onwu Azu's accompanying her, while the statblock says there are four of them. Which is it?
- Hyrix being referred to as a Jinx Eater??? Is he supposed to have the jinx eater trait? Was he originally the jinx eater tengu rogue 3 and then turned into a magus? Is he supposed to be wearing a jinx eater's shirt from the Inner Sea Races book and be a higher CR due to having PC wealth? Was he originally a jinx witch and changed to a magus?
- Chapter 2, Event 3-H has you fighting two great white sharks, but I've seen Owen's ruling to only have one shark in the fight so there's no TPK.
What's the ruling for PFS? If this was being ran as a home game then I could revise things back to a sea hag witch 1 with a ray of enfeeblement, as per the tactics, but that's not allowed for PFS. What does one do in this situation?
I'm not a fan of Mike Brock's original take on the module as "Please don’t alter the scenario as run. If you feel it will lead to a TPK, and you are not comfortable with this, I suggest choosing a different adventure to run."
That's not really an answer or a compromise. That's avoidance. And I don't know that the devs ever fixed it. But mine's an old copy. Not that there's dowloadable errata to go with my print copy.
In 2015 there was no official errata for modules, but now we have Campaign Clarifications. You'd think that would count.
Anything that can be done? Or should I tell my PFS players that the module they requested can't be ran outside of home games?
I was going through the quest, as I'll be running tomorrow evening, and something on all the characters. None of them have their traits. Threw me off when I noticed Merisiel didn't have +10 Initiative. Was that on purpose or a mistake? As the GM, can I add them back in for the players?
Second question, how many times can this quest be ran for credit? I saw that "all quests" are replayable with a new character, but I was wondering if that was specific to the newer level 1 and 1-5 quests, and these older ones were forgotten about entirely with regards to that rule.
So this page, which shows all of the adventure paths, keeps taking me to the Adventures page whenever I click on any of the links. Rise of the Runelords? Adventures page. Crimson Throne? Adventures page. Every single one needs fixing.
Can you please fix the Adventures section of the Organized Play/Pathfinder Society page, please? http://paizo.com/pathfindersociety/rpg
When I try to access the scenarios on this new and "improved" site, it redirects me to main page. That's not helpful. I would like to use the direct link to go directly to the scenarios and sanctioned modules like I used to.
My assumption is the link should go here. http://paizo.com/store/pathfinder/pathfinderSociety/pfsrpg
From a GM going to run this on Wednesday:
“I have a rules issue For the game I’m running Wednesday.
The centre piece of the game(and why I choose it) is a dogsled race/combat. So this dog sled is pretty important.
It is described as being 16” wide and 6’ long. In the rules the party is given only the one sled.
One player is playing his Treesinger Druid, who has a large size tree companion. I just can’t see how he could bring it with him.
I do feel like the one sled is fudgable as a party of 7 would not fit on one sled.”
What would be the decision going forward on how this works?
I was on GM Prep and noticed there wasn't anything posted for this module and thought I'd give it a shot. Did my share of research, including previous scenarios, and finding VCs that exist in Lastwall, and went with this.
If you could look at it, and let me know what you think before our game next Sunday, that'd be appreciated.
Our convention board just announced that this year's RPG convention theme is "It's a Trap!" Not overly original, but okay. As such, the board members are asking that the scenarios and games this year be on the heavier side of involving traps.
Aside from Emerald Spire level 2, nothing immediately stands out to me. What other modules and scenarios out there have a decent number of traps for the PCs to trip over?
So the rule of thumb is that if you have more than the standard four players for We Be Goblins you're to "clones" of two of the characters. If you're lucky enough to have the repainted minis, then you'll have Reta's Bridesmaid and Konkrud. However, to give the players something extra I was wondering, has anyone written up songs for those two? I asked official sources like Jason and others, over the course of the last year, but never got a response from anyone. We're running Free at a convention this weekend, and I'm hoping I can get something for the two other players who are looking to sit in and play.
Thanks in advance.

Was just wondering if anyone had done up a list of all the races currently available for PFS through boons. The players at my lodge have been wondering about certain ones, mainly because our neighouring lodge has quite a few of them showing up at conventions, so I went searching and I came up with a decent amount.
Am I missing any?
My group is doing Emerald Spire, but they've opted for the slow track, which is fine. This has allowed them to do Thornkeep alongside it. However, we're looking to add a few more into the mix with regular PFS scenarios that will be played normally. Which ones would be best to add into the mix? I've looked the River Kingdoms sections on Paizo, but it appears to be incomplete. Which mid to high level (including the 12-15 scenarios) do you feel best fit alongside the Emerald Spire modules?

The Wounded Wisp came out for season 9, and the ending gave away what the plot for the entirety of the season would be about. Season 7 and 8 both saw an update to the scenario with a swap-out that did the same thing for their own individual seasons. Season 9? Nothing. We're going to be seeing two new scenarios come out next month, putting them at 11 for this season, and nothing. Is there not going to be an update this year? Is there no final end plot scenario like the previous three? So far I'm seeing a lot of Grandmaster Torch stuff, including a throwback call to a Season 0 scenario, but that could be a red herring.
So far I've made it a point to run Wounded Wisp every season since it came out, and replay it with the new plot hook exposition being read to my lodge. I'd like to keep that tradition, if possible.
If someone could let me know what's happening with the scenario, or if Paizo just happened to completely forget that that's what Wounded Wisp was all about and if someone could remind them, that'd be great.
So before I had issues where I couldn't download files. You guys had me sign out and sign back in after you fixed the issue, and it worked fine. Now, I'm constantly signed out of my account and have to continuously sign back in. Before, I had it so that I was always signed in. Now I have to sign in and refocus my threads. Please fix it back to how it was prior.
Going to be in the We Be Goblins scenarios for PFS and there's six of us. That's two more than the standard four main pregens. However, the GM has the Reta's Bridesmaid and Konkrud minis, so we'll just be using the Reta and Chuffy sheets.
Was wondering if anyone had played as these characters before and happened to have goblin songs for the GenCon 2013 promotional characters.
Went to go access my Humble Bundle PFS scenarios and a new gifted scenario that we'll be running for tonight's game (less than 4 hours from now), but I can't download anything at all. Any time I click on one of the scenarios it buffers and then sends me to the store blog. The address bar says "http://paizo.com/#1018398918878". Please help. I don't want to have to cancel tonight's games.

In Pathfinder, there are four types of races: standard, advanced, monstrous, and very powerful. My question to those on the forums is, what are some of the ways you deal with the more powerful ones? Besides outright saying no and telling the player to pick something else.
I remember reading back when the tiefling was brought in that you could give them 50% of their XP for half their first level, and then let them gain normal XP for the rest of their career. That's fine, but that's just a temporary XP penalty, which they'll always have as Pathfinder doesn't have a way to gain additional XP for being lower level like D&D 3.5 did.
Back during the inception of E6, the rules were that if you played a race with a level adjustment (or more powerful race), you took less points for stat buy. So 0 LA was 32, +1 was 25, +2 was 18, +3 was 10, and +4 was 0. Later incarnations suggested that for anyone that took an even more powerful race, they'd have to use the established D&D LA rules for buy-off, and/or they could take an NPC level to balance things out.
Most games in Pathfinder never see 25 point buy, but with the above in mind, I was thinking that standard got 20 pts, advanced got 15 pts, monstrous got 10 and had to take an NPC level (minus commoner), and very powerful got 10 plus had to take a level of commoner. What do you guys think? Would that work? It's what I definitely considered for my group, but they ended up all playing standard cost races before I had made my decision.
This is of course assuming that you're playing a series of premade adventures or an adventure path such as Mummy's Mask or Rise of the Runelords. Basically, those state that they're meant for 4 PCs with 15 point buy.
I get that there are those who prefer rolling stats, but with that in mind, if it's a completely homebrew type game, you've probably already got set parameters in place and have limited what you're allowing your players to take in the first place. At least, I'm hoping you are. Be really awkward to run a game with a 41 race point drow noble that rolled 16-18 in every stat. Unless that's what everyone is.
Some suggestions I've already had, including one from Owen Stephens, were:
1) Don't mix races. Only let the players have access to one style (all standard, all advanced, etc).
2) Only allow those that are allowed in the current season of PFS.
3) Allow all races that have been allowed in PFS, including those that require boons.
4) Revise/re-custom higher point races to fit that of the lowest costing race in the group.
5) Revise/re-custom lower point races to fit that of the highest costing race in the group (ie. make the strongest human).
In the Monster Codex, we're introduced to new simple templates for each of the Core classes. Two of them being the bard and sorcerer.
Got a question regarding them specificially. Could someone please explain/clarify "Sorcerer Spells sorcerer creatures can cast a small number of sorcerer spells using its HD as its CL and gaining two spell slots for every spell level known"?
I admit that I would have much rather preferred there be an example for each template so any ambiguity would be lessened.
Sounds like a fun challenge. Maybe this one will be the winner. Haven't had any luck so far, but I'm not about to stop trying at these kinds of contests.

I know that adding base class levels to certain monsters can be 2:1 or 1:1 for CR (ie. a minotaur barbarian 4 vs a minotaur wizard 4), up to its own CR and then it's 1:1 regardless, but what about prestige class levels? Are those 1:1? Or do they follow the same rules as base classes? For instance, adding a loremaster level onto a hill giant wizard should be 2:1, assuming the number of wizard levels doesn't bump it over it's CR of 7. But, is it?
Next, how do you determine their role? What's a rage prophet? Is it combat? It lets you gain spells at certain levels, so is it a spell role? How about arcane archer? It should be combat, but it's very specific combat. Hill giants aren't dexterous enough to use a bow to the point of it being very useful. Eldritch knight is definitely combat. Or, are prestige classes like the paladin and monk? They have no actual role.
I'll leave you with an example and I want to know what everyone thinks is the final CR. Hero Lab says CR 7, but I don't really trust it. It doesn't seem to acknowledge "roles".
The build is a minotaur oracle 1/barbarian 2/rage prophet 3. Before the PrC levels, I'd say CR 7. With PrC levels, I'd say it's either CR 8 or 10. I'm not sure what the final call is.

I'm very much excited at the prospect of a re-playable multi-table. This is right up there with the re-playable 3-7 From the Tome of Righteous Response. There's not enough replayable scenarios for a large number of players.
Sounds like a full weekend. Hopefully you guys won't be too exhausted come the following week, although I suppose that comes with the territory.
Saturday can't come fast enough. Don't suppose you guys will be dropping any hints as to what races we can be during Season 9.

Given that we've been given "series" of quests during the last three seasons, which give both XP and PP, how does this work for both Urge to Evolve and Ambush in Absalom? The latter's chronicle says 0 XP, and while there's a space for PP, I've seen threads dating back to 2014 and earlier saying you weren't supposed to give PP. That these are particular quests are nothing more than an extra fight to give the PCs an extra boon. For Urge to Evolve, the chronicle is completely blank, meaning that there's a spot for both XP and PP to be written down. Because it's not available on the site, but rather through a magazine, there's not really any talk about it where I can gain any actual information on how to proceed. Is that supposed to also be 0 XP and PP, but Paizo decided to not fill it in (even partially) like they did Ambush?
So, how do I proceed with these? Are they still both 0 XP and 0 PP? Is it just Ambush that's 0 XP, but Urge can gain some rewards? Do PCs still get to make a day job roll at the end? Due to the rules of the new quests, do players now have to use the pregens instead of their own characters?
Feel free to add additional content that I didn't bring up that would be pertinent information.
As bad as that sounds, I'm looking for an AP that will regularly push my players along the railroad until the very end. No sandboxes. They don't do well with them. They get frustrated when there's no blinking signs pointing them to where they have to go next. We've already had to quite one AP when it landed in sandbox territory. This immediately throws out Kingmaker.
Two of the players in my group are also in two other groups, and they're currently doing Rise of the Runelords and Strange Aeons.
I was wondering how Giantslayer was. I've heard Legacy of Fire is pretty railroad-y in parts.
EDIT: I was just reminded that Legacy of Fire is 3.5, not Pathfinder. Never mind. With that said, not Paizo APs, but Pathfinder APs. Thought I'd correct myself.
