The idea is of interest peaking quality and I've not set foot in the realms of forgotten in some time. Would the general concept be that we progress in power by gaining wealth and mythic tiers or would we transcend the 20th-Level threshold as well?

I know that I have not put up a finished character for this, but I am going to withdraw from the running. Good luck to everyone.

Jaster Kite, it sounds like you are bringing recruitment to an end. Is that true?

While I still need to find some time to review your first post, I still wanted to pop in really quickly to lend my support to how cool of a system Dungeon World is. The system is really built to create an environment where both the DM and the players help shape the world from beginning to end.

The snake is my character's animal companion so I was hoping to have it help with carrying capacity issues.

GM Mowque, do you find that an exotic version of the pack saddle could be made for a constrictor snake? If so, how would you want it's carrying capacity calculated?

An exotic pack saddle just seems wrong for a boa constrictor.

Sorry for the delay in my character. I had a convention to attend this weekend and that consumed what free time I did have. Otherwise, I have today off for recovery reasons and you can expect a completed character from me by the end of the night.

Ah, it would seem that I failed to perception check. Thank you.

OK, how can there possibly be no rangers yet :-) :-) ? I decided against a ranger or hunter partly because I expected there to be too many :-). This is the perfect campaign for a ranger
You can always change if you think there are too many witches (or casters) and want to play a ranger.

Did Seth86 drop? He put forth a ranger on the first page named Talin

Due to the recent discussion on mounts and tigers....

I want to say something that may impact your purchases. Most of the traveling in this game will take place on boat. You'll be spending a great deal of time on boats (or various sizes). So remember that when you buy that war-trained armored bison.

That makes me think that perhaps switching over to a constrictor snake might be more useful considering it can move through the water. The natural predators in the water worry me though.

Abbo Lyrio wrote:
Lol really? A tiger animal companion just like my submission?

I never took a look at what kind of animal companion you chose. The only animal companion that I was aware of having been chosen was a Hippogriff.

GM Mowque wrote:
No problem. What class are you thinking? I don't think you said?

I'm going with a Wildborn, Half-Elf whose Elven lineage comes from the Ekujae clan, Hunter who serves as an Aspis Consortium Jungle Guide along with this Tiger companion.

2. yes. You'll be out in the bush for long periods of time (but not the whole game).

Are you referring to the PC rules of max for the first hit die, followed by ½ class HD +1 for the rest?

I love when a minor rule bogs me down. Let's make it clear, shall we?

*cough* Ahem *cough*

Animal Companions get the same HP system as PCs!

That should be better.

Thank you for the clarification.

How do you wish to handle animal companion hit dice? Will they simply follow "Hit points will be gained at each level equal to ½ class HD +1." without the gaining maximum hit points at first?

GM Mowque, I think this might have been overlooked.

I am still working on my character, I just keep adding to his backstory while updating his character sheet. Equipment can be quite the hassle. Especially when you consider that you are not sure when you'll find yourself back in a town.

1. Sorry, you were over-looked. Go with the rules, just to keep things simple.

While I would not say that I am a strong writer, I have been amused since yesterday. A friend, whom I have been bouncing my character's backstory off, asked why I'm not freelancing. It's nice to get a boost of confidence now and then.

I'm definitely interested. Will be brainstorming for a character.

Question: You mention using Standard Wealth by Level, and Automatic Bonus Progression.

Do you mean the standard wealth for the automatic bonus, thus being half the regular one, or do you mean the full regular wealth on top of the automatic bonus?

I inquired into this earlier on. The starting wealth for the character is 1,500 gp, half of 3,000 gp, which is the normal starting wealth for a 3rd level character.

I prefer more general so I don't get partial done chars. confused with done ones. Thanks!

That is why I inquired before starting to post about my character's background.

The backstory is starting to form fairly well I do believe.

I have not really used the Background Skills rule set much in the past and thusly I have found myself with a question that may be more common knowledge than I expect. Being third level, does that mean that we gain six additional ranks to spend in Background Skills? I am not sure if the rules mention of each time a character gains a PC class level included first.

Edit: An additional question, to just make sure I am understanding everything correctly, we will be starting with 1,500gp, correct?

To help confirm my submission, I will be putting forth a Half-Elf Hunter with a pension for Alchemy. He favors the bow, which he puts to good use in supporting his animal companion.

For the GM's eyes only.:
I'm excited to hear that. We now know where my allegiance lies.

I would like to put forth my interest in this expedition into the depths of the Mwangi Expanse. While I am still thinking up my character, I know that I would like to make use of some of the more interesting alchemical items. Some of which fit rather well into this kind of scenario.

For the GM's eyes only.:
You mentioned that the area is dominated by the Aspis Consortium. With that in mind, does it make sense that we may have some tie to that organization?

Star Voter Season 9

Congratulations to those that made it.

I'm creating this thread as a place for me to record what my character has learned and to allow me to make rolls for my DM while I am away from the table.

This thread is being made to allow me, and my fellow players, the ability to roll our stats online for our up and coming Way of the Wicked game, so please feel free to stop in and share in our victory, and/or grief, as we find out just how capable our villainous characters are.

To get things started, I'll throw down some rolls to see just how likely it was my character got caught in the act of trying to murder someone.

Without further ado, here are my rolls:

Strength: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Dexterity (Focus): 18 = 18
Constitution: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Intelligence: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Wisdom: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Charisma (Foible): 8 = 8

To throw your own dice, please use the following code. Remember to remove the asterick from the closing tag to make your rolls work. wrote:
[dice=Ability Score Name Here]1d10+7[/dice*]

Unfortunately the post speed is a bit much for me as well so I need to step away from this RP. I'm sorry and thank you for the opportunity.

Gestalt tends to exclude classes that allow you to basically progress as two classes at once. This includes Mystic Theurge.

I've dropped my original idea and decided to go with a different idea. I'm looking at going with a master of the sky slyph druid/monk. While he is not helpless in melee combat, he definitely prefer using his Wushu Darts while darting around, and above, the field with his aerial companion.

Wivvy, do you mind if we reflavor abilities, equipment, and the like?

So many fun choices. I think I settle on one and then I find another...

I'm considering a Half-Elf Sacred Huntsmaster (Inquisitor) 8 / Evangelist of Erastil 10 | Zen Archer (Monk) 18.

Yeah, Mythic brings an entirely different world of gameplay to the table. There is nothing like having immortality and the ability to make a touch attack for over half a million damage minimum every other round or so.

With gestalt, I would go ahead and throw an almost infinite source of wealth as well.

This is considering level 20 gameplay.

Are you allowing the Occult Adventure playtest classes?

Unfortunately I did not spend the time I had hoped to flushing out my character's back story so I will go ahead and withdraw from the running, although I seemed to be missing from the list as it was.

Good luck to everyone and enjoy the game.

Sorry for not getting my character in earlier, but thanks for the chance DM Jelani. Congratulations to everyone that made it in. It sounds like this will be a great adventure.

I'm honestly looking at making an ex-slave hobgoblin gunslinger who has been making his life as a brigand up until recently because he has been unable to find legitimate work do to racism.

Otherwise, I was considering where he might progress to from there as they start their journey and come to possibly realize that while bullets might have been plentiful in the areas they came from, they are still a finite resource and you are less likely to come across more in the wild.

Do you have any input on such an idea?

Edit: I will have to take some more time to look over everything a bit further once I get home tonight, but if the time line permits it, I could see him having been trained with the pistol during his service in the civil war. I would also find it likely that a connection he made during the war is likely part of the reason why he got this job.

A question came to mind while looking over the various options. There are a lot of archetypes that base themselves around what would not be an outdated weapon. Such as the Swashbuckler's Musketeer archetype. Will these archetypes be updated to match the setting or will they continue to focus on a outdated weapon?

Wow, I just saw this. Thankfully I have tomorrow off for Thanksgiving so I can dedicate some time to look over everything and get a character made up.

That only strengthens my decision to go with what I'm currently making then. Unfortunately, I may have to wait until tomorrow to really work on a background story and the like. However, I have the basic mechanical aspects of the character done.

Going with what I've put up so far the character will be based around his harrow deck. In fact, he even pulls his spells from it when studying each morning. Later on he will begin using his cards as weapons as well.

Otherwise, he will start out with a deck he inherited from his mother along with a carrying case and mat. I see him going from village to village healing those he can so I have prepped him with a rank in heal and cure light wounds will be a known spell.

In order to not step on anyone else's toes, and to hopefully prevent anyone from stepping on my own, I would like to put forth that I am creating a Human (Ustalav/Varisian) Cartomancer Witch who will progress into the Harrower prestige class for Spooky GMs perusal.

Having been raised by an Ustalavic father and Varisian mother, this character very strongly believes in the paranormal. While his father taught him of the things that go bump in the night, his mother taught him about how everything is tied together by fate and how he might glean information about the future through the use of a harrow deck.

His prized possession is the harrow deck his mother left him. His knowledge of the folklore and use of said deck is what garnered Professor Lorrimor's attention.

With that information in mind, I have chosen to take the Harrowed Chosen and On the Payroll traits.

Curiosity may just be the death of me rolls...

Roll 1: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 5, 4) = 13 (13 - 2 = 11)
Roll 2: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 2, 2) = 12 (12 - 2 = 10)
Roll 3: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 3, 4) = 14 (14 - 1 = 13)
Roll 4: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 3, 5) = 14 (14 - 1 = 13)
Roll 5: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 2, 4) = 14 (14 - 2 = 12)
Roll 6: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 3, 5) = 16 (16 - 2 = 14)
Roll 7: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 1, 6) = 10 (10 - 1 = 9)

14, 13, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9

...curiosity sated.

I'm reading over the Player's Guide at this point in time. I just wanted to put forth the point that I am interested in joining in.

Edit: Spooky GM, do you plan on using the Harrow Points: Cards of Fate optional rules?

Additional Edit: I'm leaning towards incorporating the Harrow Deck into my characters background in some way or another. I did like the various archetypes that brought the Harrow Deck to life so I will likely choose one of them to play with and perhaps even make my way into the Harrower prestige class.

Curiosity...it's a cruel mistress...

Roll 1: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 2, 5) = 13 13 - 2 = 11
Roll 2: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 6, 6) = 19 19 - 1 = 18
Roll 3: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 5, 2) = 12 12 - 1 = 11
Roll 4: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 2, 3) = 11 11 - 2 = 9
Roll 5: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 4, 6) = 18 18 - 2 = 16
Roll 6: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 2, 5) = 12 12 - 1 = 11
Roll 7: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 4, 3) = 11 10 - 1 = 10

Are you planning on using the Vehicles rules from Ultimate Combat or a different system?

I might just be interested in putting forth a character for the role of pilot.

Are there any kind of whip weilding superhero/ine out there?

The only person I can find is Whip Wilson and I've not heard of him until today.

I think Spider-Man calls out to me...

Monk...

Bard...

Perhaps?

Play with all of the rope tricks and refluff them as webbing...

Use Spidersilk Rope...?

Might I ask our local neighborhood GM to give me a suggestion of a superhero to build?

Very well. Best of luck to you and your groups in your endeavors.
