Sorry, I was looking out for posts that stated a new round had started. I still suggest people start posting what round they are in at the top of their post. And perhaps an initiative post here and their after monster act.

Tiberius Tacitus |

Sorry, that was a bit ambigious. I meant that it helps everything keep track of where we are at in actions if we all post what round we are posting for at the top of our post. Outside of combat it really does not matter, but it helps keep things more organized for combat.

Like this:
.
.
.
Round 13:
Standard Action: Iommi-Tyr Magnuson destroys all evil in the world becoming the King of everything.
Move Action: Iommi-Tyr Magnusson learns all the secrets of the universe.
Free Action: Iommi-Tyr Magnusson, with great humility, graciously accepts the wealth and brides each nation offers -- and even thanks his friends for bearing witness to his greatness.
.
.
.
And just in case I don't get to the Boards in time--
Round 14:
Full Round Action: Iommi-Tyr Magnusson awakes but fails his Perception check to notice Conflagratious sneaking up on him.

Regarding Michael the Warsong & the Gargoyle:
I'm under the opinion that sometimes we as gamers must use Metagame thinking in some situations, such as this. Michael the Warsong was unable to continue participating in this PBP because there are so many Players and our posts were coming too fast for his comfort level. Certainly understandable -- it can be accepted that PBPs lose PCs from time to time, especially near the beginning when they have less invested in the game.
Because the DM (probably) only had the Gargoyle attack Michael the Warsong for Metagame reasons -- a way to explain his sudden departure from the game -- we can use Metagame logic to get past the fact that a Gargoyle attacked one of us (Mind you -- without an attack roll or damage roll, just to explain his loss from the campaign.)
We the other PCs can't be forced to mistakenly (in my opinion) combat the Gargoyles when we can still break the curse.
In other words, the Gargoyle's attack on Michael the Warsong should NOT irrevocably alter our encounter with the Gargoyles.
What is y'all's opinion?

Rynjin |

Yar. If we can get the Gargoyle to stop, there's no reason to kill it.
It's like if your Fighter is Dominated into killing a party member...if you can fix it, you don't need to retaliate against him blindly jut because he killed a guy.

Tevaga the redeemer |

I tend to be pro-gargoyle at the moment, if only because I dont want to face the dozen gargoyles there is probably on the roofs...

Here's how I do loot in my games:
-Cash is split evenly +1 share for a party fund. Likely untenable in this campaign as stuff like this 35 gp split like 12 ways is nothing worth mentioning. Still, a party fund is always nice to have for emergency Raises and such.
-Loot is allocated as Need > Can use > Want basis in that order. Give stuff to the person who needs it most first, followed by items that can only be used by certain people at all, followed by the people who want it. Generally this is easy to determine, and I've never had any trouble with multiple people wanting the same thing and not being able to work it out.
In case of a serious dispute, you can always just have the GM roll a die.
-Stuff nobody wants or can use gets sold, and cash is distributed evenly again.
-I'd also advocate having consumables (that we find) not count towards WBL, so that doesn't become a factor in certain people keeping things. The Cleric shouldn't take a WBL cut just because he's carrying 12 scrolls we found that may come in handy put nobody else can use.

Hisao of the Yellow Reeds |

Cool, I'm good with that. I just really want to ignore any realistic roleplay with Hisao on this thing because uh, well, lookit his background.
Let's just say that anything anybody finds everybody just knows about and we can go from there. Does anybody want to volunteer to track the loot? I can't do it from work.

Tevaga the redeemer |

I can start up an excel sheet, though I may need to ask for occasional updates from people who take stuff.
As for the current potions, I can take a couple, but i'm pretty close to max weight. So I will be distributing most.
I will have the excel sheet up tonight or tommorow night.

Iommi-Tyr Magnusson |

Yeah,
Gold (cash) split evenly -- with nothing hidden.
Treasure to keep should go to the PC who needs it most -- so when we get a Cloak of Resistance +1 we First check to see whose Saves are the weakest.

Iommi-Tyr Magnusson |

Since we're all strangers here and don't have the benefit of sitting across a table from one another, I just want to make sure my PC's inappropriate "Chinaman" remarks are taken for what they are intended to be, one character's "funny" ignorance while trying to be diplomatic -- something the PC will learn as he grows as a character -- that Hisao is not Chinese and that indeed there are more cultures than one in the East.
Please let me know if my language is off-putting -- I will stop immediately.
-Ray

So can you mark me as inactive in the players or characters tab? I am not sure which one it is supposed to be but this is still showing up under my campaigns tab. I don't know how to do it so you will have to play around with it but this and Michael are the two profiles to fiddle with. Pun intended.

I just sent a PM to a long-time PbP DM on the Boards here whose Flickering Candle in the Dark Campaign I've been following -- he has separated current from previous Characters in his PbP and I figured I'd ask how he did it.
So Mike, if that DM responds with the way to do it I'll obviously pass it on.

![]() |

Mike, the DM in the other PbP replied with this:
Go to campaign tab, edit and then scroll down - un tick the player/character.
So,... probably what Rynjin says?
Maybe there's more than one way?

EDIT:
So, wait... Rynjin posts in Discussion but Alphonse Veritas, our desperately needed Aasimar PALADIN, doesn't post his 2nd Rd Actions in combat?!?

Iommi-Tyr Magnusson |

This time I went through all the posts during first and second rounds -- everyone posted two times, either attacking twice or Readying. I'm confident Mike would let them make a ranged attack during the 2nd rd. if they want to do that instead of Hold or Ready.
But everyone posted 2 rds of Actions.

Hey guys. I've been hit with the flue like a sledgehammer between the eyes. I apologize in advance if I don't post for the next day or so. Please feel free to GMPC me as needed. Sorry guys....
