Since this Threat was Necro'd several times i want to add:
Ride the Waves (lvl 4): Gives Swimspeed and Waterbreathing for Hour/lvl
Free Swim (lvl 3): Gives Swimspeed 10min/lvl

Silver Crusade

Dont derail the thread with rules bickering.

To the topic.
Tell your players to grow up.
For all I read he plays a normal kinetic and I have seen a minmaxed one.And in all honesty Kinetics are a good class but far from broken.
I have seen zen archers, bloodragers and sorcerer where your player would vomit.

Explain your players that he plays a middle in the road kinetic with strong early that falls of later.
If their inferior complex cant handle this I suggest a pacifier

Silver Crusade

I rarly make comments on other players game, but

The first issue was killed by mistake. If Person sees Evil but does nothing to stop it he/she is in it, even if shes neutral and doesn't like it.
There are no innocent in the first described issue, at least for me.

Like Claxon said the first Issue and the following are much more different.

They are Basically Murder Hobos but cant understand or comprehend Diplomacy or the definition of consequences.
If you have a Good Character Running around they are long past this alignment.
They maybe not be evil but in no way are they on the good site of the alignment.

IF the cast divine spells or have divine based powers. You should take away their powers and let them do a quest for atonement.
Or as an alternative give them a quest to seek a new master to retrain their classes

Kill the Wife. Secrets have to be kept. Remind the whole group you mean business.

And if she reveals such a secret so easily I don't want to imagine what your postman knows about you

For a lvl 7 Bard Singing Steel makes the bardic performance a swift action instead of the move action . Is the additional 5000 Gold worth it instead of a simple mithral armor?

Silver Crusade

The longer I play casted the more I realize that damage is secondary to them. I dish out heavy dmg too but overall its helping the party with out of combat spells.
Since I hate save or suck spells helping the materials to shine is very rewarding in itself. See invisibility, glitterdust, telekinetic charge etc are beautiful useful spells. There is also nothing more sinister entrapping an enemy caster with wall of stone with no chance with no way to escape, shattering the evil cleric focus or letting goblins be happily disintegrated by a fireball

Silver Crusade

32 on a defensive monk is quite low.... he is missing nat armor , deflection, shield and insight bonus. 3/4 are easy achieved by a monk and can be built in a lvl 9 monk.
Id he really tried his ac could easily be 5 higher.

A monk is easily countered by constructs since they often dont have access to adamantine

Silver Crusade

Unless you want to go the full swordplay feat tree swordplay s yle is not needed. A mithral or darkwood buckler can give enough shield bonus and you have no penalty using it even without proficiency.
What suggest going for crane style and osyluth guile

Silver Crusade

Ifrits can take a trait that lets them take 10 on intimidating. Also their fav class rogue get intimidate bonus. Find a way to do demoralize as a swift or free action. Signature skill intimidate @10 rabks makes them panic.
There is a real good intimidate guide on the Internet but don't have the link atm

Silver Crusade

These Combination is great for Invul Barb and Stalwart feat. Going master of many styles you can grab both Crane and Dragon Style which is fantastic for DR and Pounce Charges.

Silver Crusade

The better combination over all is the Accelerated Drinker and Enlarged Person Potion. This makes Enlarge Person a move action instead of a Full Round and with Being a Follower of Gorum u get Lead Blades as a Spell.

These are Paizo made Pregenerated Characters @ LvL 1/4/7 for PFS.

Hello,
I will be playing a PFS 7-11 Game with a Pregen.
I skimmed through the Pregens and in my opinion the Core Ones are trash (Gear Wise).
I liked the Oracle (Caster/Face)and the Skald (Melee/Buffer/Face).

If somebody has good knowledge about the Pregens which ones are good?
I would like to have suggestions for Melee, Caster , Buffer/Healer , Knowledge and Face (Diplo).
If a Pregen is good at several roles its great.

Thanks in Advance.

Silver Crusade

I wouldnt buy cloak with +5 until you have the ioun stone regarding saves for 4000 and lucky horseshoe for 6800 much more cost effective

Silver Crusade

Hi,
I just wanted to add Spell Penetration is a trap feat in my opinion.
It only gives a +2 vs an SR around 21-25. So you have a 50% (or Worse) Chance to hit even with the Feat (Around Lvl 10). The Casting Defensively Feat on other Hand is worth it since you use CL + Caster Mod + the now +4 the Chance to get it through is significant higher.

I would suggest going for Acid Arrow, Summoning or other Conjuration Spells (Black Tentacles)

Hello,
Caravan Bond lets me use Bond Powers on other Teammates "as if it were her".
Does that mean i can Grant a "Bit of Luck" for 2 Rounds on others with the Headband of Fortune’s Favor?

Silver Crusade

Well this is a rather disgusting combo but on a melee hunter at lvl 7 riding his anicomp with broken wing gambit and paired opportunitiest. The menacing enchantment on the rider and fortuitous on the animal is glorious. At to hit rolls a bonus above 20 the - 5 doest matter

Silver Crusade

HI,
The Bard Archivist replaces Inspire Courage with Naturalist which is basically the same feature but with different Bonuses.

The Banner of Ancient Kings and Dervish Sikke give Bonuses to Inspire Courage.

Do the Items effect my Naturalist Song or is it ONLY to Inspire courage?

Silver Crusade

Its not a pure Monk build, but im using a single level Dip into MoMS with my Invulbarbarian (Enlighten Warrior Trait allows it) and its hilarious.
Level Progression
1. Invul Barb: Power Attack
2. Invul Barb
3. MoMS Monk: Crane Style and Dragon Style
4. Invul Barb
5. Unbreakable Fighter : Stalwart
6. Invulbarb

I can almost always Charge and when I fight defensivly I only get -2 Att for DR7/- which is nice.

Silver Crusade

Hmmm.
Build looks worse by the minute.
Any Ideas without spell sharing and evolved?

Silver Crusade

I think its heavely implied that AC can take the Feat since its worded "... and that companion creature has this feat".

Its not the First Time they forgot something

Silver Crusade

Hello,
im Building a "Druid" via the Lunar Mystery from the Oracle List and the Spirit Guide Archtype.

I want to Focus on my Animal Companion and Keep him alive via Life Link.
The PC itself wont fight and support the group with Spells.

The Build:
Human 8/11/16/8/10/19
1: Primal Companion (AniComp), Prophetic Armor (Cha to AC/Ref) and Noble Scoin War (CHA to Ini)
3: Spirit Life Link , Improved Spell Sharing (Teamwork)
5: Evolved Companion (Reach)
7: Channel Energy (Spirit) and Selective Channeling

I get Blackened Curse to get some Fire Spells and Fluff wise I don't want to use Weapons just spells.
Armor will be Mithral Kikko Armor and Darkwood Heavy Shield.

I know the Big Cat is the best AniComp I can choose but im thinking about either Wolf or Crocodile.
Wolf is Wolf. Crocodile has a funy grab mechanic and inbuild swimspeed.

Since Share Spell is not a prequisit of Improved SPell Sharing I can take the Bully Archtype.

Feats AniComp:
Toughness, Improved Spell Sharing , Power Attack etc

Do you guys have any Tips?

Silver Crusade

I have a Bodyguard support Bard and at level 9 I want to retrain Lingering performance into a teamwork feat.
Tge second feat will be Harrying Partners.
I intend to share the Teamwork feat via coordinated effort
And give harrying partners via ring of tactical precision to the main melee guy.

I think Escape route is a strong choice in regard avoiding aoo from large or bigger enemies.
Do you have another suggestion?
FYI Coordinated Effort only works with me as tge partner

Silver Crusade

Its never wise to have all Stats as a Round number in the Beginning.
Pathfinder doesn't reward that. You STR should at least be 7-8.

I dislike Inspired Blade because it makes you character too mad (Dex>Con>Int>Cha) instead of a simple (DEX!>Cha>Con) since for some reason Charmed Life is still Cha based so you cant dumb it.(Student of philosophy/Bruising Intellect can make Cha dumb then Possible).

I like the Darkwood Buckler/Darkwood Bow on almost all my Chars. The weight reduction for this small of additional Price is worth it.
Mithral Rapier is trash. Adamantine is way way more important and useful.

My suggestion is Going 7/19/14/10/10/15(@4Dex/@8Cha) or 9/19/14/8/10/15(@4Dex/@8Cha) or 7/19/14/8/10/16(@4Dex/@8Str) without Inspired Blade.

Just wanted to inform you guys that I went really well.We got all Boons.
It was hard but I think the real Challenge is in the High Tier.

Spoiler:

We played LowTier with 2 Pregens
The Skill DCs for everything was ridicules high around 27-29ish without a specialized or well build characters you had realistically a 25% chance to make the check.
The Save DCs seems to be 20+ which was crazy too.

After we heard the word "Pharao of Plague" my paranoid warned Mind went Full Throttle. We got Delay Disease and Heroes Feast+Antiplague (Before even knowing that Torch was coming) and regarding the disappointed Face of the GM we made the right choice. Only 1 guy got infected (With a Roll of 22!) but got "healed" in the Chamber.
We still don't know what the Disease was doing since we had Delay Disease and the GM refused to tell.

The Mindthing was really interesting and we had a crazy character who insisted to go in evry memory even knowing he could loose a level.
The Character was Op like hell what I know he was a Goliath Druid Bloodrager Troll with +29 Dmg or something while raging (regulary did 50+ DMG a hit with 15f reach)

We had an Occultist that had something up called "Status" and new everything after touching something for a minute which saved us a lot of rolling.

The Fights:
1. It was crazy. Perma Black Tantacles and Troops of Ghast with Airwalk in a Sandstorm? WIth a (Bonekeep) Monoltith that heals them for 4d6 and hurts us. Sadly for the Ghast Combat Reflexes on the Troll with 15ft reach and a readied attack meant only 1 really got to attack us.

2. The Start was crazy Cloudkill as first attack and the Paladin disarmed me. I loved the dazzling Flamesphere even if it crippled 2 character in a row. But after the Paladin was down (almost 1 hittet by our Troll) the fight was relaxing even if some players wanted to end it fast.
Freeing the Sages was way more difficult. DCs around 27-29 again, Full Round Action to enter the Mindthing and only 2 Rolls per round at first which weren't cumulative. After I mentioned that it was almost impossible this way the GM looked it up and we had 3 Rolls per Turn and a success of different character counted too. It took us asround 8-9 rounds to free them all. The Ghost tried to infect us every round but rolls in the 25-30 kept us save.

BTW: What is a blue dragon doing in a freaking grave.

That's a much better outlay than what you described before. I'd be willing to chance it.

Yeah, i followed suggestion and contacted the organizer regarding my concerns and many things cleared up.

For example the playtime is much longer and open which isnt normally the case

Teamwork feat looks fine.
Unless you start combat stealthed its really difficult to get sneak via stealth (invisbility being one way) flanking is the more realistic approach exspecially action economy wise

Silver Crusade

Hello,
this is a highly unique problem that I have.

Spoilers ahead?

I registered to play PFS 9-07: Salvation of the Sages in a store that I play rarely and I was actually warned by a fellow player/friend to play it because of the permadeath, difficulty overall, duration and the prep time the gm needs to plan it.

I wanted to check the product side for more opinions and immediately saw spoiler worthy infos so I stopped reading.

Here is the Problem:
we only have roughly 4-5 hours time and the gm is known to be late. the gm is a great in roleplaying but sometimes I have the feeling he isn't prepared for the details in the scenario.
While my character im playing with is somewhat capable I don't know the other 5 players. And I really like my character.

My biggest concern is the player that warned me never warned me before and I played bonekeep.

So could you give me an opinion if I should play it or not? Without big spoilers?

Silver Crusade

Hello,
what do you think are useful and good items?
Im not talking about Weapons and Personal Upgrades but things
like Magic/technical Equipment , Armor upgrades and Augmentations.

I really like the Wyrm Gland ,the Venom Sack and Thermal Armor Upgrade on my Android Operative.
Fire extinguisher, Industrial backpack and Toolkit are a must have.
Im not sure what is better Jump Pack or Jet Pack.

What are your thoughts? Any items you always get?

Silver Crusade

Im sorry for not mentioning spoilers. i thought the title was suggestive enough.
In addition i didnt read what kevin quoted.

Thanks for the help and suggestions.

Nope, not this one. Its Slotless. its kinda weird I know. By logic it should but be a headslot but logic and rules aren't sadly (or lucky in this one) the same in pathfinder

Silver Crusade

Hello,
I got pretty lucky playing

Call of the Coppergate:
(lesser Circle of Persuasion +2)
and
The Mask of the Living Good:
(slotless Intimitade Mask +5) with a Bonus on Cha Checks against Razmir.

Since I will be playing a Swashbuckler/Unch Rogue build Going for Dazzling Display I ask myself if the are additional Scenarios/Boons I can benefit from.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

I really think it depends just on 2 things.
1. the group has to understand it.
2. Don't make fun of the disability in a slapstick way

After that I think its ok. its roleplay and I think if you really
research and understand the background and the consequences it brings
I think its a good way to emphasize with the disability

Silver Crusade

I have support focused bard with the following feats etc

5 archivist bard /2 lore warden fighter
Adopted (halfling helpful) magikal knack (bard)

1 flagbearer/lingering performance
3 combat reflexes
5 bodyguard/arcane strike (fighter feat)
7 comat expertise (granted) swift aid abd phalanx formation

I stand in second line and buff everything.

Phalanx formation is optional.
This build requires gloves of arcane striking or it gets significant weaker

Silver Crusade

Snap shot is overrated and point-blank master is underrated. Pbm is almost mandatory for me in certain groups.
My pfs zen archer was not only once the main tank (ac of 30-38).

Clustered shot is important since sone dr type less and some hardness is over 20. Also you don't always know the dr without meta gaming

Silver Crusade

If going conversation inquisition I suggest the reformation inquisition. .. its far more powerful

Silver Crusade

My Question: Does the Acid/Alchemist Fire fired that way do the Int damage or not (Whithout missile discovery)?

Silver Crusade

Shot and Run/Spring Attack both need BAB+4 so earliest is lvl 6.
Fleet is kinda meh since i already have a 10ft boost.

Sky Jockey would be kinda fun if i install jet pack/jumpers into my andriods armor slot.

Silver Crusade

Before I open a new thread I will just post it here.
I need feat advise for the 3rd or 5th level feat

I have a Android Ghost Sholar(Phy,Sci) Operative with these stats 10/18/14/13/10/8
1. Spellbane 2. Weapon Focus 3. Mobility or ??? 4. Holographic Exploit
5. ??? or Mobility 6. Staggering Shot 7. Enhance Resistance 8. Shot and Run 9. Deadly Aim?

I don't want to take Greater Fortitude and I think Dealy aim before lvl 9 is kinda wasted.

I looking at Skill Focus or Skill Synergy (Life Sci/Mystisim).
For Skill focus im not sure which Skill I should abuse with the Take 10 from LvL 7 onwards.

What is your opinion on this matter? Maybe you even have a complete different feat you would suggest.

Silver Crusade

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Dweomer essenz helps with sr.
Otherwise buffing and align weapon.

Silver Crusade

Regarding Nr.2
You forget Alchemical-allocation which basically lets you use LvL 2 Spells Slots for a (Non Alchemist) LvL 3 Spell Potion.

Silver Crusade

Don't forget Burning Arc. Its high Damage and Allows Ref for Half which in my personal Flavor is better than Scorching Ray

Silver Crusade

Thanks for the insight.
Its for PFS and i will be using Mostly Human.

Silver Crusade

Hello,
i want your guys Opinion what is the better Choice for
a pure Melee Materialistic Fighter (Swashbuckler) with a descent/good UMD score.

Silver Crusade

Hello,
i played a the adventure path and received midway a boon for regular PFS to influence Aspis Agents.

The Problem is i only got the information that i received this boon and no physical proof.

I have the Chronicle where we write down the progress but is there a separate boon sheet that can be downloaded?

Silver Crusade

Lore Warden . Thanks for Noticing it. There are to many similar named things in Pathfinder.
