Best domain abilities

Advice

Wanting to see which domains (or inquisitions) are preferred for an inquisitor. This is for PFS and also I don't want it to come from an evil deity.

The ones I can think of off hand are, animal, heroism, growth, and rage.

death domain can be pretty handy if you can get your hands on it, healing from positive and negative energy yes plz

That doesn't seem all that useful to a positive channeler?

Like if you fight a negative cleric then you might get some healing out of it. But that seems like an edge case rather than something nice to have as a main feature. Is there something I'm missing?

also allows any negative energy channelers in your group to heal you so if you have a bad touch cleric in your party they can heal you and they don't have to exclude you from their channels with selective channeling cuz you will heal instead of taking damage and they can spontaneously convert their slots into healing for you also if enemies hit you with negative energy you will heal, good fort save to not take con damage and the attacks from wraiths you

Grand Lodge

Chaos, Luck, Conversion, Repose Domain (too powerful possibly), Chivalry, Loyalty Subdomain (especially if not leveling the domain), War (or Tactics), Anger, Feather (improved animal domain), Travel, Trickery (or Deception), Dark Tapasrty (Not for PFS but nice with Monster Tactician).

Silver Crusade

In order:
- Conversion to be the ultimate skill monkey
- Madness for a touch of bad-touch
- Darkness with a Conductive weapon or Domain Strike together with Moonlight Stalker
- War for the bonus feat
- Anger/Rage if you plan to go the Vital Strike/Furious Finish route
- Anything else

Feather and Revelation do wonders to your perception skill. You can see practically everything coming, thanks to the spell they gove you as well.

Can inquisitors even get access to the subdomains like Feather and Loyalty? I thought I remembered a FAQ or a developer weighing in on the fact that since subdomains are effectively archetypes of the cleric class, clerics are the only characters that can use them (not inquisitors, druids, etc.)

Woops, never mind. Found the FAQ and it explicitly says that they can. APG FAQ

I love Protection and Defense.

Free cloak of resistance.

The chivalry inquisition is pretty good - a fully-leveled mount from L1 which eventually gets your judgement bonus. As noted by others conversion = party face.

For an inquisitor at PFS levels the anger inquisition is probably better than the rage subdomain.

Luck.

In a game all about rolling dice, why not tilt the table in your favor?

Travel. 10 ft extra movement, untyped, rocks.

The Exchange

Exploration subdomain let you also see through walls. Very nice for PFS and an Inquisitor.

And best domain abilities for the Living grimoire inquisitor?

Why would they be different? They use Int instead of Wis for their spells and domain powers so anything based off their casting stat still affects those domain powers.

Edit: OK, they lose judgement so a few like the chivalry domain are less useful to them. It affects very few inquisitions and no domains however.

Silver Crusade

If going conversation inquisition I suggest the reformation inquisition. .. its far more powerful

If you prefer revelations over domains, ravener hunter archetype trades domain for 2 revelations (1 at 1st and a second at 8th level). Though it also pushes back solo tactics to level 6. I have to think this is more powerful than any domain.

I've had a lot of luck with:

Plant(Growth) for a reach cleric.

Luck

Tactics Inquisition

Knowledge(Memory)

Trickery

Eagle (Animal/Terrain Domain)

Wolf (Animal/Terrain Domain)
