Anton gasps as the arrow opens a gash in his side, then lets out a harsh yell and charges the goblin closest to him.

The Absalom native bolts up out of his bedroll, then curses as he feels his leather gambeson folded on the earth beside it. "I guess I'll need to start sleeping with that on." he growls as he grabs his rapier from its place next to his head, jumps up, and runs toward the yelling.

Seeing the wagon continuing to slip off the precipice, Anton, rushes to the back of the wagon, yelling "Get out of the wagon!" and grabbing the young woman. (I assume she's still the closest one)

Anton says to the young lady "Climb out now!", then runs around to help the stocky man trying to keep the wagon on the road.

Seeing that the Ulfen guard (was his name Leaf..?) has the horse-things under control, our daring hero (as he calls himself) jumps off the front of the Balan's wagon to try opening a way for the lady inside to escape.

After dancing with most of those who asked the horse-stopping hero for a whirl, Anton sleeps through the night soundly, dreaming of the great celebration to come at the Swallowtail Festival.

From yesterday in game

Perform (Sing): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Anton has a decent voice, but clearly doesn't know the tune very well.

For the current situation

The Absalom native still isn't quite used to these "horse" things, but he's seen enough to know to try grabbing the tack hanging from its face.

Ride, untrained: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

Running up the caravan, Anton catches the reins and pulls down hard, trying to get the beast to stop moving.

Having learned a few shanties from the sailors on his way to Magnimar and wanting to hone his own skill, Anton decides to join the larger caravan. He is immediately taken by the dark-haired woman currently leading the song, and introduces himself to the family. "Mind if I travel with you to the festival at Sandpoint?"

Sorry, had a busy night last night. Halloween party.

Personality - An excitable young man, Anton is quick to make friends and enemies alike. He likes telling stories almost as much as he likes a good pint, and an excuse to practice with his rapier about as much as either. Definitely an extrovert, Anton prefers to take situations head on, having learned from childhood that those who don't act first often don't get to.

Appearance - Anton has an angular face, framed by shoulder-length locks of hair the color of ripe wheat and anchored by large brown eyes. He has a strong but very lean build, with a ropy scar extending from the back of his hand halfway up his forearm. His current attire is a light travelling outfit, with an off-white quilted shirt (with vest), green breeches, and dark brown leather boots. When wearing his travelling pack, Anton has his bow and quiver fastened on the right side, and his bedroll inside, with it sticking slightly out of the top of the pack. At his left hip is his weapon, its basket hilt scuffed from frequent use.

Hook - Considering his skills and motivations for going to Sandpoint, Anton would probably hire either hire onto a trade caravan as a guard, or join a Varisian caravan headed to the festival.

Background Skills Update:
Used a new rank in Appraise and Anton's rank in Perform as background skills, added a rank in Stealth.


@ JohnnyBlack - Last time I looked at rapier stats, it was in 5e. Whoops. Fixed both of those for you.


@JohnnyBlack - forgot about the free outfit. I've updated my gp total.

As far as the language, I hadn't imagined his mother to be Varisian, since he's from Absalom. I think that's the other Anton, who's from Sandpoint. Varisian is the language I picked for the starting point of Int bonus because it was something my character has picked up since leaving Absalom.

Also, I noticed there was another Anton submitted just after I submitted my entry xD


@JohnnyBlack - I fully intend to. That's why he has a bedroll and calls it good. xD
