At this time, I am unable to confirm receipt of volunteer schedules for the following list of people. Could be the email address I have for them is an error, my emails falling into spam folders, or their response dropped into my archives amongst a HUGE amount of GenCon traffic. In any case, I am unaware at this time if they know their volunteer schedule or that they are even approved. If you are on this list or know any of the names, please contact me BY EMAIL as soon as possible. At some time in the near future if we cannot confirm with the volunteer we may need to cancel the volunteer status and offer the schedule to a standby volunteer. I would hate for that to happen due to a communication error.
Thx - Bob

Upating the list again. The following are still pending confirmation. If you know any of these people, please encourage them to reach out to me ASAP. If I do not receive a confirmation from these volunteers soon, they are at risk of having their status cancelled which could cause a cancellation of hotel space and/or convention badge. The latter would likely also cause all event tickets to be cancelled. Thanks

As long as the badge is present in your Gen Con account, you can purchase event tickets. You don't need the physical badge to do that. And yes, a large number of available tickets are already sold
How do you get a badge in your gencon account if you're expecting to get a badge for DMing?

it should be there already. if not, than someone needs to know. go to your account and pull up badges i think.

If it lets you purchase tickets for events, you have a badge. You also should have gotten an e-mail when the badge was added to your account. To check directly:
-Log in and go to "My Packets"
-you should see "Items that you can pick up from GM HQ" and have a "Gamemaster Badge" under that

Apologies to the organizing team, thought that I was already good to go! Drinks on me per usual!
See you all at Gencon!
Careful, man, the HQ Drinking Team has a few heavy weights on it this year.

Has there been a spoiler post yet this year letting the GMs for the Specials know what maps they should be ordering from their local gaming store?
(I would love to get mine ordered since my store has been kind of slow lately.)
I'd like to know what this is as well - about a month left and I'd like to get maps and minis sorted out and ordered where needed.

Thanks for the heads up. We are talking now about how to make the seating as smooth as possible.

Might I suggest that the people who are doing crowd control in the hallway before the doors open (or however that is being done this year) advise people that don't remember which tier they signed up for to either look it up on the Gencon site or make a quick trip downstairs to the ticket people to have them check. Either way it shouldn't take 5 mins.
Hopefully most people showing up will know what they signed up for since they likely have some specific character they want to play, and that could take care of a large group of the rest.

I think I can make my voice be heard to do just this.

The game id # is still on the ticket, and there are only 6 of them. I'd say big signs letting people know which id # corresponds to which sub-tier would be the easiest. Also, fliers with that same information for every table GM and muster volunteer. Much easier than yelling and checking the internet.

No, I haven't. And we're both in the midwest, so you must not be THAT loud. :P

Just the opposite. I can project with the best of them.
The hallway outside the Sagamore will be a challenge but if I could get the entire hallway to hear me at the previous Paizo con hotel, I think I'll be alright.

With you at one end and me at the other (as Im sure this is a duty I'll get roped into anyway lol), I think we can get everybody.
If not, then Mike Bramnik might be a good person to ask for assistance. I've never heard him yell, but he's at least a head taller then me, I think, so he's got the height advantage going for him, making him more noticeable.

I liked the fill in form. Maybe for future can add a box for PFS number aswell. Than could trickle down to those that gamed with them could remind them. Or something like that.

All badges should be in accounts.
Scenario dropping started. All 7-98 Serpent's Ire GMs should have their scenario, as well as a some of the regular items.
Next step - update housing requests.
I missed that this dropped into my downloads this weekend. I was too busy hunting pocket monsters in my neighborhood.

Our local gaming store is a PokeStop, and someone planted a lure there while we were playing PFS yesterday. So we were all playing both at once.

GenCon isn't going to have this insanity going on, is it? Do we need to develop a PokeJammerTM?

GM: Okay, Paladin, the troll leaps down from the platform and takes a swing at you. It rolls a...wait...let me catch this Weedle first.

Make the PFS hall a Pokestop and sucker them into playing Pathfinder
Except it wouldn't work that way.
GM: "Okay, everyone roll for initiative."
Players: "Just a second." "Busy" "Hang on" "What? I was busy catching a bulbachu"
GM: Why did I volunteer my time again? I could be catching all the Pokethingies at the convention right now...

Maybe they can put up a sign in front of the Sagamore Ballroom saying "Rare Glabrezu Inside."
Maybe with a silhouette.
