*Clap, clap, clap*

I do believe in playtests. I do this until we get the playtest. Either that, or until my hands fall off, whichever happens first.

I do believe in playtest.

I do believe in PLAYTEST!

I do believe IN PLAYTEST!!

I do BELIEVE IN PLAYTEST!!!

I DO BELIEVE IN PLAYTEST!!!!

I BELIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it hard enough?

F. Wesley Schneider wrote:

Oh come now folks, this is nothing new to our playtests. The playtest doesn't start until the PDF goes out, and the PDF doesn't go out until the new message boards go live, and the new message boards don't go live until Gary and Ross get here to turn them on around [whenever-they-get-out-of-bed], eastern time.

So lets take the Tinker Bell approach to this, lets everyone clap real hard and see if we can wake up the webteam to start the playtest.

I do believe in playtests. I do believe in playtests.

This needs a like button.

I launched FireFox to download a playtest version of RPG book. Instead, in a google-search-for-suiting-quote gone wild, I learned how to clap with one hand.

Oh, internet.

Come on people! With this technique, we can clap twice as much!

Let's just draw a circle with black chalk and summon the damn thing!
Force it into the world, draw it forth with shackles forged from our pure mental strength! Mwahahaha!

I believe that that is what Dresden uses. So we're on the right track.

Hey, CandleComfort has 12 black votive candles 12 bucks! You could use them for a pentagram (with one in the middle), and still have enough for next playtest!

PS.: will trade incense for black chalk, local only.

Oh, you'll never guess who just pulled in. Shouldn't be long now.

You may be onto something.

I just fear Mr. Schneider already has been there, all comfy, and we drew him forth with the summoning...

YAY ANDREW!!! As a graphic designer myself I have to say that I'm a big fan of his work. And if he can pull into work at a leisurely 9:40 at Paizo headquarters then HE'S LIVING MY DREAM!!! I feel much better now, thanks Wesley. =)

Well, I certainly wasn't expecting the Spanish Inquisition.

Liberty's Edge

Hi there, if we willingly agree to participate in the summoning ritual, will it speed things along?

So the new iconic is just Seltyiel?

Shadow Lodge

*Putting candles back in my pouch, shackling the pdf, scrapping the black chalk circle*

okay, it's human-sacrifice-time! I can't wait much longer.

Someone else got a neighbour he wants to sacrifice?

btw. on what page will I find the playtest document once it appears? And has a time been announced, when it appears?

Contributor

Oh, and Ross is here too. It's on.

And by the by, one of Vagrant-Poet's guesses was right. ^_~

"Just Seltyiel" indeed. Pfff. How about finally Seltyiel. He's been our only homeless iconic for years now and making him the iconic magus is a prefect fit. Why reinvent the wheel when you've already got a giant, awesome wheel covered in spikes, absinthe, and lightning blots that you're not even really using?

What!? Disappointing how? His the Iconic for more than one Iconics now!

Plus he's awesome!

Except you have been using him. I was actually looking forward to a new Iconic and it is just the old one also as someone has pointed out he was already the Iconic multi class/ prestige class character.

No, no, no it's cool. He's lemon scented now and has a digital clock.

Oh, and actually gets to be an iconic "something" now besides just the 13th character for what was originally a 12 class game.

To each his own and all, but I'm personally all for new Wayne Reynolds art of awesome, absinthe drinking, white-haired antiheroes. ^_~

Seltyiel = 3 Different Kinds of Awesome

1) Multiclass Iconic
2) Prestige Class Iconic
3) Iconic Magus

Indeed to each his own I find the entire thing somewhat misleading at best.

Hell yes!

For all those who don't agree you ARE allowed your opinion.

... but you'll be walking the plank for it :D

Absolutely agree. Personally, I was always kind of annoyed that he was included in the "iconics" group, even though he was a multi-class/prestige character. I've always wanted him excised from my GM Screen. Now, he belongs, and it feels much more natural. Well done. And awesome new art, by the way.

Plus, he can now go on a personal war of eliminating all his clones that are wandering around out there with different stats. More reason to hate his father...
