"Oh...I am...peoples' favorite? You...like me? That's quite rather sweet of you! I hope I shan't disappoint everyone. I would feel like RIPPING YOUR HEARTS OUT OF YOUR CHESTS AND FEASTING UPON THEIR TENDER MEAT should I disappoint any of you kind chaps.
Hehehehe, bloody hearts staked upon the spear, hehehe...."

Also sad there's no unchained Eldritch Scoundrel, but that is a heck of a good update! Congrats on the shiny new forum tags John and Linda! Looking forward to crossing paths with Valais Durant again!
What is this "not-Unchained Rogue" of which they speak? Sounds suspiciously like He Who Must Not Be Named.
In all seriousness, I found that to be a highly disappointing choice given that the rogue bends over backwards to be not quite a sorceror and not quite a magus.

Thanks for the kind words, John! I had a ton of fun writing it, and may have given myself a few nightmares along the way. Hopefully, it will be well received. Valais is a fascinating character; getting the chance to flesh her out, even more than Thurl did (too soon?), has been amazing.
I can't wait for you to go on your adventure with her. I think YOU PATHETIC MINIONS who are able to survive will love it.

One of my local players is excited to be playing under you at Coscon next month. Show him ABSOLUTE MISERY, will you?

I too am perplexed.
I petition for a reconsideration on the grounds that if the archetype isn't powerful enough to ban outright, then it should be allowable with unchained rogue. The most broken possibilities of the archetype function just as well without Unchained (all those delicious touch spells from invisibility...). As is Unchained Eldritch Scoundrel will be more powerful than Chained Eldritch Scoundrel, but on par with the standard 2/3 caster types.

I can kind of understand the rationale in that it feels progression-wise too similar to the sorcerer until level 6 and could be seen as a mandatory archetype, but at the same time, it's sort of silly to even pretend that the core rogue exists for new characters.

"Oh, no, Mr. Hoskins, you shan't need to worry about making jokes. I so very much appreciate your efforts, so it's no problem if you wish to lighten the mood. Don't THINK YOU WILL ESCAPE DEATH WHEN I ESCAPE THIS FLESH VESSEL hehehe, death of the author. I am certain you just mean it in good fun."

If my post is the reason for your "new" title, can I get a Pugwampis boon then? JK. Good to see you have an appropriate title now so as to keep people from being confused ;)
Unlike some, I kind of wish Tears to Wine did make the cut, looks like a fun spell, though it is a bit ambiguous how much each individual has to drink to gain the benefit, and ambiguous spells tend to get banned in PFS for some strange reason :P

Well, despite my disappointment in the decision to prevent unchained rogues from taking Eldritch Scoundrel, I think I might still give it a shot. I've been sketching out a Rogue (Eldritch Scoundrel) 4 / Arcane Trickster X that still looks like it should be fun, even though it costs me a bunch more feats or gold if I want to keep dex to damage, but it looks like it should be fun.

Nice to see the stuff from Blood of Shadows already ruled on. I still have to wait a day to buy it :)
About the Deep Marshall: when reading through it I didn't have any alarm bells going off. Was there some rule jinx that kept it from being allowed that I didn't notice, or is this more about keeping it in reserve for a boon? It does have that "boony" smell to it..

I was one of those campaigning hardest for access to lust, so I had to check. ^_^
I looked again... still only greed and pride. :(
(I read it like three times, but I was on my tablet - maybe it displayed differently there? Weird.)

Oh well, back to playing a Calistrian Medium that gets a train run on them for spiritual and divine reasons for an hour before missions.

If you kill me, I'll just come back as a revenant (my friend Isha taught me how). Sadly, that means we won't be able to hang out any more.
Maybe you should seek some help? I hear those Pathfinder folks you work with do a bang-up job.

Oh awesome, who is that?
I'll be running 7-17 at one of our local game cafes this Sunday in Pittsburgh. Next month I'm running it again at CosCon in Butler, PA.
If you're going to GenCon, I plan on running it 6 or 7 times there (gods willing) and will likely have some very cool custom terrain. A friend and local, Alex Wreschnig, has created a custom Valais mini. It looks AMAZING.

I'm going to blame the automatic scaling day job, even though it's more likely the spell list changes.

Are you sure you know the right people to make that happen? ;-)

What changes were made on the Reign of Winter documents please? I looked them over and can't immediately see anything, but as I'm in the middle of running it for 'Society players I'd appreciate knowing.
That was the smallest change. It merely updated some of the language that suggested that there were still other Chronicle sheets to come (back when we released only part of the Adventure Path at a time). There should be no mechanical changes.

These are nice but is there any word on when the last 3 modules will be sanctioned? They sit on my shelf collecting dust.
I want to schedule them at my local store which has 4 regular players who have played just about everything out there so scheduling these between new season 7 stuff will likely save the PFS night at the store from dying off completely.

Sort of free ranks in Profession (Miner) on Intelligence? That doesn't sound so drastic. Alchemists have been doing stuff like that for years and the world hasn't ended.

No, the other part of that ability.
In addition, she is treated as having a number of ranks in
Knowledge (dungeoneering) and Profession (miner) equal
to her magus level,

His name is Shawn. He'll likely be running a Sorcerer/Gunslinger, although he played Traitor's Lodge with a Slayer. Might have his family with him.
I'm going to be running it online a group of out of state friends to prep for Gencon, but if we don't make it, I'll definitely petition for it to be on our schedule.

Congratulations on the anniversary, John. I'd like to echo the many others here in thanking you for all your hard work on the campaign.
Indeed! I have a lot of newer players in my region. They notice a distinct difference between older seasons (pre-John) and current content. I've told them it's all development and the positive direction that PFS Scenarios have grown in under John's (and now also Linda's) watchful eyes.
You guys rock!
