The signup sheet for the game can be found here. If you could add the reporting details for your character to it before the start of the game that would be fantastic.
Once I've got the slides sorted out I'll also post the link to those.

I signed up on RPG Chronicles as requested.
May I already dot and delete in gameplay?

Absolutely. Feel free to dot & delete.

I've now added a link to the slides for the game. Slide 3 includes sections for additional character information and character tokens, so it would be great if you could get those filled in before the start of the game.
The game is due to start on the 2nd of March, but feel free to post character introductions before then.
For those of you who are not familiar with the Solstice Scar series of multitable specials, these specials were release over the course of Season 8. Each scenario was its own stand alone scenario, but each covered various different sections of a wider story arc. Version D is the concluding scenario of the series and covers the final part of the overall story. Earlier versions were retired as each new version was released, so versions A-C are no longer available to play. As such I'll add a post at the start of the gameplay thread to summarise what happened in these in order to provide the context for the events of the current scenario (As the previous versions are no longer available, don't worry about it being a spoiler for them!).

One other thing worth mentioning is around posting expectations and botting policy for the game. Unlike most other scenarios multitable specials need to run to a strict schedule. For PbP games this schedule was agreed with the PFS leadership as part of sanctioning of the game for PbP and as a consequence GMs need to ensure the game keeps moving at a reasonable pace to keep up with that. With that in mind below are the posting expectations I'll be using for this game...
Posting Expectations: For this scenario it would be great if everyone could aim to be posting at least once per day during the game and to respond within 24 hours of a post requiring their input. Obviously real life takes priority over the game, so don't worry if something comes up which means you are not able to post, let me know and if needed I can bot your character to help keep things on track.
When it comes to botting, if you know you are not going to be able to post on a given day please let me know and I can bot your character for you. I'll also need to bot any characters who have not posted with within 24 hours of a post requiring their input, however, if at all possible please let me know in advance that your character needs botting, as regularly needing to wait 24 hours to do that can make things quite tough for the GM in terms of planning posts around real life. One other thing which would also be a big help is having botting instructions in your character profile, it can make botting your character much more straight forward and is definitely very much appreciated.

I will sort this out for my character as soon as I can. I have had some busy days and problems with my computer. I need to update the character here on the Paizo web and apply some chronicles.

GM Mike...R |

With under a week to go before the game kicks off if everyone could make sure that they have filled in the sign up sheet and the character information/tokens on slide 3 of the slides that would be great. Also feel free to post any character introductions ahead of the game starting in earnest.

I am getting all the things done between today and tomorrow at the latest. Sorry, but unfortunately last couple of weeks were busier than expected.
Also, on another note, I realized that first I had done the dot and delete with the wrong character. Please, delete Gavirius if you can. My character is Seltyel Half-Elf. Thanks!

This table will be starting the event with an Aid Token. I'll post details for how these work below, but in summary: You can use an Aid Token during an encounter to gain a benefit from it. Alternatively you can boost that token instead of using it. Once you have used or boosted a token you can pass it on to another table (In the context of this PbP game, in order to pass a token to another table, let me know which table you want to pass it to and I'll let that table's GM know). It is better to use or boost a token and pass it on, rather than holding on to it so that someone can get advantage from it in every encounter.
Aid Tokens
During the event, it is possible for characters at one table to assist those at another with Aid Tokens. Each represents the assistance of allied Pathfinder agents who assist the PCs. The House should begin with a number of Aid Tokens equal to one-third (1/3) the number of tables, and the Overseer GM should distribute these at random to tables before beginning.Once per encounter, any character at a table can use an Aid Token to assist the group in one of the ways described below. Once a table uses an Aid Token, one of the players then passes the Aid Token to a neighboring table for them to use. A table can only benefit from one token per encounter. Because there are a limited number of Aid Tokens; hoarding one means that somebody else doesn’t get to use it.
If a table receives an Aid Token and doesn’t need its benefits, they’re encouraged to boost its potency by expending some of their own resources or attempting a skill check. Boosting an Aid Token, including attempting a skill check, is part of passing that Aid Token to another table. A table can neither retry such a skill check nor boost an Aid Token more than once before passing it to another table. A table may boost a token even while in combat without taking any in-round actions; the scenario assumes the aid was granted before that encounter began. Players should be encouraged to write their PC name down next to the boosted effect along with any other relevant information. Using a boosted effect consumes the boost; the player should erase the boost information from the Aid Token.
Some Aid Token benefits may be used only if already boosted by another table. An Aid Token’s benefits vary based on the table’s subtier, and these benefits can take one of the following forms:
Allied Offensive: A Pathfinder agent strikes a creature at the same time as the PC, increasing the damage dealt by one attack by 2d8 points. In addition, after the attack, anyone attacking the target is considered to be flanking it until the beginning of the attacker’s next turn. To Boost: Succeed at an attack roll against an AC 20. Boosted Effect: +1d8 points of damage.
Burst of Healing: A Pathfinder agent heals all of the PCs of 3d6 points of damage. To Boost: Expend one use of channel positive energy or cast one spell with the healing descriptor with a spell level greater than or equal to the party's APL/2, rounded down. A PC must cast this spell, not simply activate a wand or scroll. Boosted Effect: +2d6 points of damage healed.
Timely Inspiration: A Pathfinder agent provides the effects of a bard’s inspire courage bardic performance (competence bonus +2) for 3 rounds. To Boost: Expend 3 rounds of bardic performance or similar ability. Boosted Effect: Increase the competence bonus by 1.
Provide Knowledge (Must Be Boosted): Gain the benefits of a Knowledge skill check or Spellcraft skill check used to identify a magical item; the type and difficulty (Easy, Average or Hard) depend on the table granting the benefit. To Boost: Succeed at a Knowledge check of your choice, the result of the check (Easy, Average or Hard) should be noted on the Aid Token.
Provide Spellcasting (Must Be Boosted): Gain the benefits of a beneficial spell cast by an ally as listed on the Aid Token. To Boost: Cast one of the following spells and note your PC’s name and caster level on the Aid Token: lesser restoration, neutralize poison, remove curse, or remove disease. Only these spells may be granted. Expending resources that produce the effects of these spells, such as a paladin’s mercy class feature, may also grant these benefits.

With the game kicking off tomorrow if everyone could make sure they have filled in the sign up sheet and added their character information and token to slide 3 of the handouts that would be fantastic.
All done now for Seltyel.

Do I understand correctly that we can use the aid tokens once per encounter, so, if we do not use it in this first encounter to help another table, then it would be basically wasted because it will be renewed for the second encounter?

GM Mike...R |

With the aid tokens there is a pool of aid tokens spread across all of the tables. Currently there is only one aid token in play which is the one which this table has (so the other tables don't currently have an aid token). So once this table either uses or boosts the current aid token and passes it on to another table, this table will no longer have an aid token as the table it is passed to will have it and will be able to use it. One the other table has used it they can then pass it on again, so if they pass it back to this table then this table can use it again. The big advantage of always using or boosting an aid token if it is available is that it will ensure that at least one of the tables will be benefiting from it in every encounter. If a table holds on to it then until they pass it on no one will be able to take advantage of it.

![]() |

Ok. I see. I think that I understand how they work.
Question for the rest of the group: since it seems that (so far) we have this encounter under control, what about boosting it and pass it to another table?

![]() |

Sounds good to me, too.

![]() |

Completely forgot to post my (short) shopping list:
- wand of Honeyed Tongue (2 PP)

![]() |

To speed ;-) things up:
So far we have three votes for Might and one vote for Speed.
Looking at her stats I expect Rogarch to also favor Might, which would generate a majority for Might...

![]() |

I really liked the Grimpfkin encounter! :-D
And the rewards are nothing to sneeze at.
The author(s) have done a great job on this part of the special, in my opinion!
Could we have done better on the Test of Speed if Rogarch had also participated with a few successes?

GM Mike...R |

Yeah, I like the fey forest feel of this bit of the scenario, whimsical and dangerous.
On the Test of Speed it is possible to get another greater charm of luck, but the party would need to get a success on every obstacle to do that, which is quite tough to do. So even with a 6th set of results it wouldn't have been enough to get the enhanced reward. That said the standard charm is still pretty good.

![]() |

Did we lose Rogarch? Their last post was on March 11th - that's nine days ago. And the player did not post with any other character in their currently active games either...

![]() |

I am sorry it has been a busy week with two deaths in the family. I will do my best to keep up going forward.

![]() |

:-O My condolences. Please take as much time as you need, Rogarch!
Real life comes first - we are just playing a game...

![]() |

Would it be possible for Kurik to charge the Shambling Mound? (see arrow on the map)

GM Mike...R |

The Eshimka Defeated condition triggers once a certain number of the tables have reported successes, and removes the treat of her attacking the party while they are fighting her minions. In theory it should happen part way through this section of the scenario, but for this game there were quite a few successes reported all at once, so we are almost immediately moving onto the next announcement.

GM Mike...R |

It looks like before I can get the game reported I'll need Rogarch to provide an email address on the sign up sheet here as boons will be sent out by email so I need to include those in the reporting.

GM Mike...R |

The game has now been reported via RPG Chronicles and the chronicle sheets are available here. Let me know if there are any issues and thanks again for playing!
