I'm formulating my post. But as I do, one thing keeps nagging me. 12 chairs around an octagonal table...trying to envision that drives me a little crazy.
Secondly, correct me if my suppositions are inaccurate, but a huge sized creature's chair seat is likely around 10x10 maybe a little less at 9x9 or 8x8 or some mix between. The table top is 11 up from floor, and most tables end up standing around 1/2 to 3/5 the height of the user's. My guess the is that seated eye height would be about 15, give it take 1. So, I'm thinking if my 6ish ft character sits on a chair back, that should put him about seated eye height to the huge giants, right?
Lol, I misread. The seat is 8 wide. So guesstimation correct. And table top is 13 up. That said, I think I'm still solid in my theory that sitting on chair back will be around seated eye level.

I just noticed that we are playing with only 3 players. Since the game is too high level for pregens, the rules allow that, but only if every player explicitly agrees to play in hard mode. That didn't happen here, so we need to pause for a minute to talk about what everyone wants to do.

I mean, the thing that's sticking out to me is that we seem to be going really slowly. I don't know if we had another player to help distribute moving the story forward?

It's unfortunate, but I think I agree with Domenkale. I'm definitely not a fan of hard mode, and would have not participated in a hard mode scenario if the question had been asked at the beginning.

Any suggestions as to spells for spellgems? I don't think I've done underwater combat with a caster in SF.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I mean combat spells. Twich has never used a weapon, although she carries them. Fire spells might not work underwater is the sort of concern I have.

Arcing Surge and Etheric Shards are the first that come to mind.

I usually go for force type spells. Sonic damage might also be worth it.
