The printing press is extant in PF2E, and presumably has been around long enough for 'Printer' to be a valid background choice. Nevertheless, I would imagine that ready access to magic would slow the development of technology - why waste time making advances in surgery if Cure Light Wounds can do most things even our modern medical technology has difficulties with?

Simple enough reason: Rahadoum exists. Rahadoum might be the reason PF2e has decent non-magical healing ha.
