Delighted to be invited to the party!

Mehji, bit of housekeeping... we both have Shadow Trap. I can swap that out for something else if you love how it fits your theme. Just give a holler when you have a chance.

Aja Endymion |

It’s not a problem, I have other good spells to choose. It makes sense for the shadow specialist to have that one.

Glad to be on board.
@Aja: I do love it both thematically and mechanically, given that it is one of the only first level spells that will trigger my bloodline arcana. That said, I don't think there's necessarily anything wrong with us having some overlap.
Glad to have you, welcome aboard!
The discord link is a few posts above, if you wanna join up there. I always find it’s easier to communicate over discord for quicker conversations.

Isabeau |

Hello, hello to you both! I went back and clipped my little thematic intro and put it into my profile here so it's easy to find.
Isabeau's mother was an Oracle of Shar, one with an atypical streak of compassion for the church. She had a presence on the streets of Neverwinter and might have had an association with both/either of your characters, if you like.
Mehji, we have a little bit of a gangland lead into our mission and so your character might make a good guide as we head into that part of our journey.
Let me know anything I can do to help you acclimate!

Thanks for the information and the very kind offer!
I think it's probably unlikely that Isabeau's mother and Aja know each other. Aja is younger than Isabeau, doesn't associate with any church, and doesn't even sell herself as an oracle. Her living is made as a soothsayer and a low rent healer. Also, mentally, she's 'off' quite a bit. If Isabeau's mom lives or works in the Blacklake neighborhood, she might know Aja as an odd (and slightly tragic) local, frequently seen speaking to the air, living on the fringes of society.
I'm not saying they couldn't cross paths but it would be happenstance and not anything collegial like two oracles sharing their views.

I've taken the liberty of building a loot tracker. It's shown in my header. I assume we are taking anything not nailed down? :)

Thanks for that, spreadsheets are not my forte!
We are still poor, so until that situation changes, I would vote yes. As long as Isabeau doesn't have to carry it... XD

I've been a bit slower than I like to be with posts lately, but this semester of school just concluded and I hope to be faster!
Welcome to you both. Cassius is supposed to have a decent network of shady sorts to fence goods to and so on, or to ask rumors of (and at level 2 he'll have the diplomacy to make it believable, lol), so if you want any hooks in that area just let me know.

I'm a little confused by the map. I've put Aja in the area I think Rsolk is referring to, with upper and lower doors. Am I in the right area?

You are! I put white rectangles on the three doors, with the black X showing you which one he said not to go into.
Apologies for any confusion.

When we are in combat please remember to leave room for others to move around, especially in a constricted space. The reason I didn't move through Guen was that doing so would have provoked an attack of opportunity. If Guen had taken a 5' step I would have been clear to move in.

Isabeau |

I considered taking that step, but it would have opened up the potential for Guen to be flanked. We were at a disadvantage on this map, so I wasn't eager to fall into the perceivable traps. Was definitely hoping to down the foe so Robert could move freely, it just didn't work out that way.
That said, speaking is a free action and Guen understands Common, as do I. ^_~
