I PM’d Faldon today. If no word back anywhere I will message our alternate option early Monday.

Smart call about healing. We are thin right now without some of our dip classes.

Hi, everyone! Thank you so much for inviting me. Before joining, I must clarify a point for you about my plans. About twice a year, I go on a retreats for two or three weeks to meditate and do yoga. The peculiarity of this event is that I'm there without the Internet (btw as well as without TV/radio etc too, like all the participants). The nearest trip will be from the end of July. Effectively, I would consider that from July 25 to August 22, I will not participate in the games.

On the one hand, such trips of mine do not lead to my disappearance - there are games on this forum that I have been participating in for several years (and one that I have been running for a year). On the other hand, you invite a player who will take a break for one month in a month. This may not be very convenient .)

So let's clarify once again, do you want me at this table now or are we waiting for the next time.

PS The next such trip (after this summer) will be on New Year's Eve or even next spring, that is, not soon.

Silverhex Quest WEBS | The Corageous Confirmation

‘Eκάτη: Welcome! And don't worry - if you are going to post as usual I'm positive that we can complete the Confirmation - the scenario I just started to run - until July 24th. That's 5 weeks, and as the other players here have a quite fast and consistent posting rate, we should manage to finish it without problems before you leave.
The scenario even has an optional encounter, so I can check our time left and decide if we skip it or not. :-)

Please whip up your cleric (or any other character you want to play) and introduce him/her in Gameplay.

Spell Templates by GM Tiger | Citadel Core | Core To Scale the Dragon |

I will second that welcome. I also feel that a planned break like yours should be easily worked around.

Hello and welcome!
I am currently resting my feet from schlepping teenagers around the Six Flags. I will third and say I have full confidence we can finish before your retreat, or close enough anyway. Glad to have you along and looking forward to it! ^_^

Spell Templates by GM Tiger | Citadel Core | Core To Scale the Dragon |

I stole this earlier post from kaervek78 who did all the hard work. Then I did a little updating.

GM TOP: Elf Eldritch Knight, Fighter/Wizard frontliner/arcane buffer

bluedove: Druid, frontliner/scout/healer in a pinch

phaeton_nz: fighter, frontliner; maybe wizard(arcane caster?)

Luke_Parry: gish - probably a Ranger/Diviner/Eldritch Knight, frontliner/arcane self-buffer

John Woodford: half-elf finesse fighter with maybe a couple of levels in rogue, frontliner/scout/disabler

kaervek78: dwarven cleric of Desna (with the Luck and Travel domains), divine caster/support

—————

The player we lost was a bard with maybe a dip into rogue or at least get disable device, but we don’t ’need’ a bard to replace them. A second cleric would be very useful, especially for this scenario when our current cleric is GM’ing. We have a lot of melee too, but as our players diversify a bit that may hopefully take care of itself. I expect my PC to get a lot more combat versatility once he gets a casting class. I think a few of us are still deciding what routes to take.

The most important thing to me at least is to play a PC I am excited about or will have fun with. I have seen (and been) bored players give up on a PC they couldn’t connect with just because they played a PC they didn’t enjoy for a group that needed a ‘role’ filled.

Great, thanks a lot! I am glad to join your company. Give me about 16 hours and I'll come in with a new core character.

Welcome aboard mate.

I thought for a long time between a celestial sorcerer and a cleric (with the same image), so far I took the latter, but fortunately there is still time before level 2, I can change it.

I plan to specialize in channel energy and summoning creatures. And I'll also be able to pick locks and traps, just like a rogue.

I want to share it with you. Venture-captain Kaleb Vesperra (Warpriest (Cult Leader) 10 / Mystery Cultist 10) is the first of my two characters that I got to level 20 in the PFS. Based on the blog post that Luke linked to earlier in the Discussion thread, it appears that Core clerics and paladins are limited to the twenty deities in the Core rulebook. The relevant post is HERE, but it's from 2015; there may have been something more recent that overrode it, though.

Obviously, not everyone knows about this rule, since I have already met paladin of empyreal lord in core game! And there was no one who would make a remark on this topic, which tells me that the other players/GM didn't know either .)

Well, thank you. It's very good that I found out about it now, and not after 10 games. It could have been a really big disappointment.

I'll change the class to a celestial sorcerer. Everything else - appearance, presentation, background, religiosity - will remain the same.

It bothers me that things like this are so hard to find, or at least hard to find clearly laid out. As far as I can tell there's no FAQ for the Core campaign.

@Everyone: Please check the Tracking Sheet (page 2 of the slides) and correct anything that needs correction, e.g. Day Job rolls. Thanks!

I'll wait until tomorrow evening to give you an opportunity to post and change spells (if you want to), then we will continue with the journey on the next ingame day.
If everyone posts a "good to go" before tomorrow evening, I'll try to update sooner.

Paloma doesn't have a day job, and without vanities, likely never will. Also, it's not every mission that takes us into the wilds where a survival check for sustenance is even an option, so I was hoping to take advantage of it here and at least be frugal where it makes sense.

Will happily forget it and mark off rations though if the GM doesn't approve. ^_^

No worries, as ray of frost has a range of 25 ft + 5 ft/2 levels it wasn't hard to deduct which wolf was your target. ;-)

Paul Montrose wrote:
Nal, are you a cleric or a sorcerer? Your header still says cleric of Kelinahat.

Nal Pavleth's class is sorcerer (with the celestial bloodline).

However, maybe 'Follower of Kelinahat' or 'Acolyte of Kelinahat' would be better titles than Priest, but I can live with the current title.
Adding '(celestial sorcerer)' somewhere in the header would make things clearer, though.

(looks through the profiles) Huh. A wizard without ranks in spellcraft - that's interesting... ;-)

Well, it looks like Nal Pavleth is the only party member that has a chance to identify it (Spellcraft +6). I think it would be reasonable for him to be interested in a magic item and check it out.

As we are close to wrapping on this one, I thought we might start considering what is next. I noticed Nal hasn't marked the Scenario Tracking spreadsheet above yet, so that might be a good idea so we can identify scenarios we can all still play.

I'll volunteer to run 6-10: The Wounded Wisp (1-2) since those who have played it can still take advantage of it being Evergreen at level 1.

By the way, I would like to play two more games with this character before GMing. It is possible that I will want to radically change something in Nal - I wanted to play as a cleric of Kelinahat and as it turned out celestial sorcerer does not quite satisfy me.
