As the others wait to see what happens next, Zharis' stirring words are delivered to Nysteryx. The solar dragon nods solemnly and takes to the air, flying out of the damaged doorway and into the skies at a high-angle that will soon see him disappear from Kahlannal forever . . .
With the efreeti forces defeated and leaderless, the remaining invaders surrender to the resistance as soon as Nysteryx’s downfall spreads through their ranks. The efreeti vessels in orbit promptly flee. Although Protector Nyralaen perished in the fighting, the remaining Protectors reestablish order in the city. The anassanois’ telepathic abilities return to normal as the psychic resonator is repaired, and they use their communication to contact the Burning Archipelago directly through the lashuntas of Asanatown.
Although it's a great victory, the normally optimistic Nib seems worried. "We bloodied their noses here, no doubt!" the ysoki says. "But I bet this isn't the end. That General Khaim the occupiers kept talking about is still out there somewhere. Unless I miss my guess, I bet he's going to try invading the Pact Worlds next!"

Zharis asks their allies if there is anyone who can cure the maladies of her friends who seem to be cursed in some way, and she turns their prisoners over to their justice as well, if they agree to a trial at which the wronged brother can testify.
If necessary, she will use her persuasive abilities to encourage them to partake in a trial so that their society can see justice done rather than a summary execution.
She records the whole thing if it happens, of course, and spends times editing her footage into a documentary, then sends it to her father for distribution, and looks into local distribution as well, getting her lawyer involved in the rights issues for this part of space.

I'm certainly nae an expert... But judging by General Khaim's success on this planet, his attack on tha Pact Worlds will end with his nose smashed somewhere on tha outskirts o' absolutely any planet.

Hopefully. We should check out the quarters downstairs and see if there is anything we missed that might give us more information about how to stop them. And maybe go shopping in general. They seem to have some tech that we don't have. We're going to need additional resources if we have to take this fight home with us.
