Xylian blasts the commander at point-blank. Strange that he would chose to turn his back on a bear.

As Gorchak slithers away, Theodore claws the commander and Xylian lands another blast of his cold gun. The fiery nimbus that surrounds the salamander blunts the latter attack somewhat.
"Sister!" shouts the fire giant Sortar as the lift doors open and he sees his fallen sibling. His face becomes a mask of rage, and it's clear he won't stop swinging his massive plasma sword until all of the spies and saboteurs have paid in blood!
Xylian's attack hits Gorchak. The damage is reduced by DR (magic) and the cold resistance from Corona, but some of it still gets through.
Botting Theodore's AoO vs Gorchak. Result: Hit! All the damage goes through, and Gorchark is hurting. Theodore, you take 10 F from Gorchak's Corona.
Sortar does a full attack on Xylian. Results: One hit. Xylian, you take 12 E & 20 F.

Amhesha keeps slowly backing up, trying her best to get out of view of te Giant, aiming for the vitals despite how stupid of an idea this was, and afterwards prepares her Frost Projector while firing a round from her rifle.
S*%@ how much longer is the energy field going to be up?!
To which the Protean-spewing Exocortex gives a reassuring Dunno. Should have been easy 'nuff to keep track of. On you!

Theodore pauses, looking off at nothing for a few seconds.

If Zharis has an obstruction between her and Gorchak, she will use her jump jets to reposition. Otherwise she remains on top of the elevator housing.

Still under the effects of a mystical curse, Theodore does nothing but stare vacantly for a few seconds. But Zharis doesn't hesitate at all, and blasts Commander Gorchak with a sizzling acid ray!
And then the lifts chime again--have more occupation forces arrived? No! Tulgram emerges as surprise reinforcements for the liberators from beyond the stars!
Zharis' attack hits, and does full damage. (Zharis, I repositioned your token as instructed to avoid cover.
Friend Tulgram, we'll insert you right here. We're on Slide # 2, the top right map. There's a slimy salamander and an enraged fire giant to deal with. You'll still suffering from the bestow curse, alas (50% chance of not acting), but if you roll poorly, you can spin that as heroically surveying the scene :) Glad to have you back!

Thank you.

[dice=Act?]1d100
No one noticed how Tulgram, who seemed to have gone to guard the escape route, came back. He could talk about a lot that happened from below. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion bright as magnesium... C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate... But now his comrades are very busy, and not only at the molecular level, but also on a more explicit level.
It's not that Tulgram didn't particularly like giants. This is the problem of the light dwarves, damn them, our guys mostly had complaints about drow and troglodytes. But... When you can hurt a big guy, why not?
[dice=Capture Pole]1d20 + 16; 2d8+18 (piercing vs KAC)
-2 AC obviously for the rest of his life..It's not pleasant to be cursed, but it's better than dying like that, isn't it, boy? Tulgram thought about this as he delivered a painful blow to the giant's kneecap and sprayed a poisonous chemical there, causing the big man to grimace in pain, receiving more blows from the biohacker's allies.
Once upon a time, a knee injury put an end to Tulgram's wrestling career, and a giant knee injury.
The original post in the discussion thread ))
GM Jhaeman
Tulgram's capture pole near fractures the fire giant's kneecap, but Sortar is so enraged he barely notices!
Meanwhile, Commander Gorchak snarls at Zharis and Theodore. "You think to hound and harry me, do you? Now, feel the full brunt of your mistake!"
Suddenly, the salamander slithers back into the fray and explodes in a cataclysmic supernova of fire! But when the heat and light fade, he seems completely unharmed.
Tulgram's attack hit and does full damage, and the inhibitor is noted.
Gorchak does a move action and then, now fully attuned, uses his supernova revelation. Zharis and Theodore will take 51 F (DC 18 Reflex save for half damage).

Theo manages to turn so that he doesn't take the full brunt of the blast.

Sortar staggers under another powerful blast from Xylian! The fire giant nearly topples, but sheer rage keeps him on its feet, murder in his eyes! He barrels towards Xylian, hoping to cut the damai's weak flesh free from the confines of his power armor!
Xylian's attack hit and for very good damage.
Sortar charges (he has a special ability to do this without penalty). Tulgram, this provokes an attack of opportunity from you, and I'm going to go ahead and roll it for you because it may render the rest of the giant's turn moot. Result of AoO: The AoO hits, but the giant still has a pair of hit points left! Result of Charge on Xylian: Hit. Xylian, you take 15 E and 23 F.

Amhesha's giddy cackle accompanies the Spire-shaking collapse of the fire giant Sortar!
Amhesha's second attack hits and drops the fire giant.
@Zharis: Sorry, forgot to respond to your question above. You apply your fire resistance at the last step before subtracting any damage from your stamina points (so yes, you did it correctly).

Act 51+: 1d100 ⇒ 27
I could have lived this life very differently. I could now shine in the Wrestling Arena of the Middle Ring of Dark Asteroids. I could bask in the spotlight and my name could be put on the Wall of the Darksmith. What I'm wasting my life on... It seems Tulgram is not here right now. Again.
GM Jhaeman
Theodore overcomes the mystical curse that slows Tulgram's actions and lands a deep slash into Gorchak's torso, braving the pain that comes from being burned by the salamander's fiery aura. Badly wounded, the villain sneers and tries to slither away, calling back "You've won only a brief reprieve! Your lives are still forfeit to General Khaim!"
Theodore's attack hit. Theodore, you take 7 F from Gorchak's Corona effect.
Gorchak does a double-move and tries to get down the stairs, provoking an AoO from Zharis and Theodore. Gorchak does have the Mobility feat, so he'll be harder to hit.

Slithering a bare inch underneath the slashing claws of Theodore and Zharis, Commander Gorchak escapes down the stairs!
Theodore's and Zharis' AoO misses.
@Amhesha & Xylian: Gotta check the map--you don't have a target anymore :) You can re-do your actions. If you want to give chase, you can. Or, we can (temporarily at least) go off Initiative.
Xylian Xuuvats
Xylian follows along behind, going last as usual.
Zharis
Zharis moves to the top of the staircase and uses her jump jets, if necessary, to get Gorchak in sight, and shoots at him.
Attack (Screamer Decoupler): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
Damage (Acid): 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
That's a miss anyway, but wasn't sure if he was just at the bottom of the stairs in sight or if that was just a representation of him being on the next level down, out of sight, but she will use her jump jets and the rest of her movement to follow him. He killed their friend's brother, and she wants to make sure that he goes down before he can get any reinforcements. Their main mission is still the resonator, but hopefully Xylian already has a start on that.
GM Jhaeman
DING! The sound of the lift door opens, indicating Gorchak has continued his efforts to escape. His voice, urgent but controlled, can be heard coming from the open tube. "Nysteryx! Intruders in the upper Spire!"
Gorchak does a move action to get to the lift, a swift action to open the door, and another move action to get inside. The lift doors will close and he'll start to descend at the beginning of his next turn.
Xylian Xuuvats
Xylian uses his exocortex to stop the elevator.
Xylian will follow and overload the elevator.
Amhesha
Can Amhesha target them from the stairs?
GM Jhaeman
Xylian jumps down the stairs, his power-armored frame landing loudly. Inside the tube, Gorchak stabs the "Door Close" button repeatedly but they remain stubbornly open!
@Xylian: I've moved your token to the level where Gorchak is.
@Amhesha: Yes, though from your current position he'd have cover from your attack.

Zharis moves down the stairs enough to see Gorchak in the elevator, trying to get away.
Instead of attacking with a gun, she uses her jump jets to jump straight into the elevator with him, landing above him and grabbing onto his hair and screeching and spitting like her ancient ancestors. Felt good to go a little wild, and the cameras would eat it up.
The landing on his head thing is just flavor. Technically, it is just a double move, not an attack or grapple or anything, and just trying to provoke maybe a little bit of emotion for the camera. Just want to get into the elevator to make sure he doesn't get away from me. (If the elevator isn't high enough to have me come in the door above him, please roll for me whatever is necessary. My acrobatics is +15, but not sure if that is the right thing to roll, or if it is needed.)
