All right, I got my submission ready. Crunch is not full, as per initial instructions, but let me know if you need more than what I wrote.
Overview: Pamuk Kiar. Human Oracle (vanilla) 1-20 with battle mystery and powerless prophecy curse. Child of the Crusade (marshal path) trait, aiming for Crimson Templar Prestige Class.
Motivation concept: Pamuk is an orphan, as both his parents were crusaders who were outed as corrupt and executed for treason. He aims to restore his family's name, and wants to join the crusade to make that happen. He is desperate to redeem himself for something he's never done, and he will go all the way to make this happen. Joining the crusade is more about restoring his honor than fighting demons.
Mechanical concept: I am striving for the Marshal mythic path, meaning that he is a support character in combat. As an Oracle, he can provide amazing buffs for himself and the party. The Crimson Templar prestige means he will not be useless in melee as well. Outside of combat, he is a great diplomat and can rally troops with his excellent Charisma. He will be a lackluster bluffer, however, since this would be dishonorable.
Pamuk had a comfortable and happy childhood. His mother was a crusader lieutenant and his father, a respected acolyte of Iomedae. He was 11 years old when his parents' corruption schemes were outed by the church's inquisition. His life became hell after they were publicly executed for treason.
Being viewed as bad blood by the entire Mendevian society, he was denied any formal training in both arms and faith. He had no patience for studies, but would have been denied arcane training as well. Only his friendly attitude and natural charisma allowed him to be helped by the occasional Samaritan.
The dirty looks and snickering got old fast. On his 18th birthday, he vowed to restore his name. He was still denied entry in any school, but found ways to help people in need, by learning basic medicine, how to take a punch and wield a spear and shield, or just be a good listener. Until one day, his prayers to Iomedae seem to have been answered. He started to be able to magically heal people, without having to prepare spells like Clerics usually do. With this newfound power, he moved back to Kenabres, knowing in his soul that he would be able to have a chance to join the crusade and finally restore his name.
Although he was born in Kenabres, Pamuk left it to go away from the snickering. He came back after discovering he had mystical healing powers. He thinks he will be able to find something there to apply his powers and skill to join crusaders, so that he can finally restore his honor.
With a 14 14 14 10 10 16+2 array, I mean Pamuk to not be useless in melee, but be primarily a support caster with the occasional crowd control. He is human with straight vanilla Oracle and LG alignment. I am still on the fence regarding feats, but skills would definitely include Diplomacy, Intimidate, Knowledge (nobility) and Knowledge (religion). Probably UMD as well.

I would love to take a shot at this! I'll get to work on a character concept.
One question. I have already played through the CRPG version of Wrath. Would that disqualify me? For what it's worth, I have a lot of experience in Pathfinder Society 'playing dumb' as a character in scenarios I've already run.
In addition, my run through that campaign was exceptionally degenerate, so I'm sure this will still be a very new experience for me.

Cecily Levain |

Zefig's dragon disciple posting here. Stat block is in the profile and simple background here. And don't let the Unchained Monk fool you, she'll be spending most of her career focusing her anger through Bloodrager.
Cecily is the primary heir to House Levain, the largest farm-holding noble family in Nerosyan and the largest supplier of the admittedly small production of domestic food products to the Mendevian crusade. There was some scandal when Cecily was kidnapped as a child and subjected to a demonic ritual, but she was recovered safely and not much more was thought about it until she sprouted horns and a tail a few years later. After significant research and expense was put into trying to change her back to a more human form and one particularly pragmatic aunt was tutted down for suggesting a reincarnation might be their best bet, the official family stance is that Cecily is still of sound mind and body despite her differences (which are officially ascribed to the ritual she was subjected to). The official stance does not make any mention of the fits of unbridled anger that accompanied the physical manifestations of her abyssal taint. What were thought of as typical teenaged outbursts at first only got worse as time went by, but such a lack of decorum would not stand in the heir of House Levain, so the family flexed its influence and arranged for Cecily a mentor in discipline, focus, and channeling her growing strength for Good: Terendelev. Despite the many demands on the Silver Dragon's time, she has proven to be a strong stabilizing influence on Cecily's demeanor and the young woman has made great strides in her discipline, martial and otherwise in the years she has accompanied the dragon and her crusaders.

Racial Abilities:
Skilled: +1 Skill point per level.
Class Abilities:
Flurry of Blows: Starting at 1st level, a zen archer can make a flurry of blows as a full-attack action, but only when using a bow (even though it is a ranged weapon). He may not make a flurry of blows with his unarmed attacks or any other weapons. A zen archer does not apply his Strength bonus on damage rolls made with flurry of blows unless he is using a composite bow with a Strength rating.
A zen archer’s flurry of blows otherwise functions as normal for a monk of his level.
A zen archer cannot use Rapid Shot or Manyshot when making a flurry of blows with his bow.
Perfect Shot: At 1st level, a zen archer gains Perfect Strike as a bonus feat, even if he does not meet the prerequisites. A zen archer can use Perfect Strike with any bow. At 10th level, the monk can roll his attack roll three times and take the highest result. If one of these rolls is a critical threat, the monk must choose one of his other two rolls to use as his confirmation roll.
This ability replaces stunning fist.
Unarmed Strike: At 1st level, a monk gains Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat. A monk’s attacks may be with fist, elbows, knees, and feet. This means that a monk may make unarmed strikes with his hands full. There is no such thing as an off-hand attack for a monk striking unarmed. A monk may thus apply his full Strength bonus on damage rolls for all his unarmed strikes.
Usually a monk’s unarmed strikes deal lethal damage, but he can choose to deal nonlethal damage instead with no penalty on his attack roll. He has the same choice to deal lethal or nonlethal damage while grappling.
A monk’s unarmed strike is treated as both a manufactured weapon and a natural weapon for the purpose of spells and effects that enhance or improve either manufactured weapons or natural weapons.
A monk also deals more damage with his unarmed strikes than a normal person would, as shown above on Table: Monk. The unarmed damage values listed on Table: Monk are for Medium monks. A Small monk deals less damage than the amount given there with his unarmed attacks, while a Large monk deals more damage; see Table: Small or Large Monk Unarmed Damage.
Traits
Child of the Crusades: Once per day when you fail a saving throw against an effect created by a demon that would possess or incapacitate you mentally, you may immediately reroll that saving throw as a free action. You must take the second result, even if it is worse.

Kenzo is an orphan and Child of the Crusades. His parents were part of a patrol that rode out of Kenebras and were ambushed by a large group of cultists trying to weaken the defenses around Kenebras. Kenzo had no other family so he was given to a small monastery of Erastil to care for him. The monastery was a defensive force that trained in archery to support the defense of the town and Kenzo found that he was a skilled archer.
Kenzo has recently come of age and is looking to see if he can find a way to take a more forceful defense of the city his parents died to protect.
Kenzo is built to be a ranged damage dealer which will be useful as many enemies fly or tight spaces might limit how many members are able to reach the enemy. He is also stealthy and can assist with scouting. He has two knowledge skills which might also provide important insights into what is happening in the adventure.

Aroden the Returned |

Aldizog's submission.
Aroden, once and future God of Humanity, is back and ready to take the fight to the demon lords. He's LG this time around - for now, anyway. Can he stay on the path of righteousness as he re-ascends to mythic status? Or will his well-documented flaws lead him to fall short? Who is the mysterious patron granting him power anyway?
Pact Wizard with the Divination (Foresight) school and the Endurance patron. Full sheet in the profile.
Once, he had another name. Sarnax, named after a great saint of the Church of Aroden. Sarnax was an orphan, his parents Riftwardens who had never returned from a mission to the Worldwound.
The infant was raised in Kenabres by a foster family, and the Sign of the Seeker's Spiral marked him as a child touched by powerful planar energies. Sages advised that the boy should study magic, so he did. In Absalom.
Then... something. He remembers walking across the bridge to the Starstone Cathedral. But why would a mere apprentice mage do that? And in his memory he walked across the Aroden bridge, destroyed years ago in an earthquake. Did he enter the Cathedral? Did he merely hallucinate the whole thing? Whatever the truth, that was, on waking, the only clear memory he had.
He wandered Absalom. Nobody seemed to recall him. No instructors from the Arcanamirium sought out the missing pupil. He wandered the world.
More memories came back to his mind, but some were of godhood. Of weeping over the fate of Arazni, knowing the reason he could not intervene. Of watching Iomedae pass the Test of the Starstone with bittersweet pride. Of smiting the demon lord Deskari, driving him from Sarkoris. Of hushed discussions and shouted arguments with Pharasma.
Is he a delusional amnesiac who became possessed by a vestige, a fragment of Aroden's soul?
Is he some experiment by the aboleths or outer gods?
Is he the reincarnation of a high priest of Aroden, or one who had communed with the God of Humanity?
Or is he actually the Last Azlanti returned to Golarion in human form, with a destiny to fulfill?
He knows that this form was once a man named Sarnax. That memory came back, though as if a fact read in a book. He feels like he is Aroden, so he dresses as Aroden and says his name is Aroden. He is not the first soul to have taken up the mantle of the Last Azlanti. He causes no trouble, and is a kind and generous soul (if odd and a little patronizing at times). He is strangely persuasive, despite not appearing so at first.
Aroden has been pulled back to Sarnax's home of Kenabres. The memories of battling Deskari have grown more prominent; Aroden's business with the demon lord is not done.
His best guess is that the first theory is largely correct. Sarnax became possessed by fragments of Aroden's soul. But this is no delusion, and it isn't random. Some powerful entity formerly in Aroden's service has a plan here, and he thinks it is a celestial entity. There was a great deal of good in Aroden; he had orders of paladins, and saints such as Iomedae, Arazni, and Milani. And so the patron directed some of the more benevolent soul-fragments into a mortal shell that was itself, once, a kind soul with magical potential and a rare ability to accept the required planar energies. The patron's purpose is to strengthen those more goodly fragments of Aroden's soul, so that if the deity ever is truly restored to power, he will be capable of rectifying his errors and not committing such in the future. Yet, the darker fragments of Aroden's soul are still out there, and it is possible they may find him a suitable host... if his mortal mind can withstand the growing burden of such a powerful presence.
Aroden is a tall human male with long black hair and a goatee. He carries a longsword of ancient design, wears robes of Azlanti fashion, and he looks exactly like classical depictions of Aroden.
Aroden is far more compassionate, patient, and considerate than any would expect. He seems to bear the weight of tragic but necessary decisions, and there is often a deep sadness about him.
And yet, when he rallies others for a good cause, there is a commanding presence, a sense of earnestness, and a courageous zeal to do what is right.
Virtually nobody believes that he actually is Aroden, and he is fine with that.
Some take the opportunity on meeting him to lambaste the deity Aroden for one mistake or another, and he is generally fine with that - but every now and then he hears an angry voice shouting How dare they! They don't know the truth of what I did, why I did it, and what I sacrificed for them. That voice troubles him, but he has managed to master it so far. He suspects it is a fragment of another part of the Last Azlanti's soul, a fragment that was further from Lawful Good.

Short version:
Quintus is a Paladin of Iomedae who has sworn an Oath of Vengeance against the Worldwound for what he believes in the demons role in the death of Aroden. He brings faith, martial ability, and some diplomacy to the party.
A longer version is below but the basic premise is that he felt he had to leave Cheliax and decided to join the Mendevian Crusade to fight an evil he could take up arms against. He hopes a 'successful' campaign here might restore some of the prominence his family once had.
Because this is the front line and Quintus' family's only lead, from divination magic, was that the fiend spent some time in Kenabres before moving into Cheliax for some foul reason.

I am very interested. Not sure yet if I want Kobold or tiefling. They are two of my three favorite races.
I am thinking tiefling (cosmetically they are a tiefling of a kobold, with how tiefling works that means tiefling stats and small size). She has dreams of the invasion, which has drawn her there as she sees it as her destiny. She was tainted by an evil cult as an egg, and thankfully the group of adventurers that stopped the cult took her egg to a wizard, where she ended up growing up. The taint having made her particularly tough and scary looking.
I'm thinking an eldritch knight / mystic theurge conceptually. Probably start with arcanist and paladin. Prestige will likely be shadowdancer.
Need to reread the PG campaign traits later.

Parvin Ghazalah |

Well I wasn't able to put a Fighter together that really did what I was looking for. I'm withdrawing Joska and replacing her with Parvin here.
I'm still working on the background, but aside from another edit for mistakes I believe she is done mechanically.
Vital Stats are Eldritch Scion Magus (Destined Bloodline) with a 1 level dip in Dawnflower Dervish Bard to start. Musetouched Aasimar and Sarenrae worshipper. Parvin's prestige class will be Dawnflower Anchorite.
It was a little tricky to figure out the best campaign trait to match class and background. I settled on Child of the Crusades to go for Marshal or maybe Marshal-Archemage dual path if we can do that sort of thing.

This is basically a non-mythic game. There is no such thing as paths. You get the effects of a prestige class instead as per the initial post.

Parvin Ghazalah |

Hm! Okay. I have to admit my understanding of mythic rules is very wobbly. Honestly I'm kind of relieved.
So, if instead we're just choosing the campaign trait we prefer without it determining anything further later on, Touched by Divinity is a very good fit. I'd avoided choosing it because no divine casting.
Thanks for reminding me though, I forgot to include a prestige class for later. It's Dawnflower Anchorite, and I still even have time to edit my post above.

MysteriousMaker |
character concept: Cinder is inquisitive and insightful, except when it comes to people, which she has not had all that much contact with. Except for a few friends and colleagues of the wizard that raised her, she has been pretty isolated from outside society. She has a strong sense of morality, and the stubbornness to stick to it. She is now old enough and capable enough to fend for herself. She has always had occasional dreams of a place with evil boiling over, and she feels that it relates to her destiny. Her guardian encouraged her to go find her destiny, but had her train and wait until she reached 30. And she did, so upon reaching 30, she said goodbye and left to go find her destiny..
Kenabres is the city closest to where she grew up, and the place she keeps hearing about as a focal point for all the stories of the worldwound, so she starts there.
Build sketch: Arcanist with a few levels of paladin (probably 15/5 but I tend to grow characters organically after creation) Shadowdancer for the eventual prestige class. Will be using quick study and grabbing every scroll she can to have a broad repertoire of spells and the ability to quickly get the ones she needs for any given situation. She has some combat ability, able to use combat spells but not relying on them. She will also have some minor magic creation ability, mostly to create single use spell-in-a-box items (scrolls and potions basically but in different forms like bracelets, totems, etc) but a few that can cast a spell per day might be made, depending on how things go.

Planned PC:
Arcadia Moonsinger
Arcadia was originally born in Kyonin, but as a young and foolish Elf, they were possessed by wanderlust, and under the guise of a 'religious pilgrimage' they ended up travelling around the Inner Sea. At one point they visited the lands edging the Worldwound, and ended up lost at its edges.
If it had not been for the intercession of a mysterious stranger, they would never have made it back alive.
Since then, they have oft left the area of Kenabres, but for some reason, they always seem drawn back to it; their dreams tell them that there is someone they need to meet, and something they need to do there, but as to precisely what that might be, the truth of the matter remains frustratingly elusive, just beyond the edge of conscious thought...
Their 'Reliquary' item is an antique holy symbol of Desna, and their main weapon is a bow - mechanically, I see them as being vaguely self-sufficient, a lover of travel and song, who sees the Cult of Desna as worthy of belief, as it dovetails so well with their own predilections.
Humanoid (Elf) - alternate racial traits: Light Against Darkness, Long-Limbed

I am considering doing a Kobold Gun Chemist (Alchemist). Before I do, do you not want any guns in the campaign? I would be happy with a different Alchemist instead if you want to avoid guns.
Sorry for not catching this earlier. You can have guns but the AP doesn't support guns so you'd very much have to craft your own.

Parvin Ghazalah |

Parvin is ready to go now. Her full build and BAP descriptions are in the profile. Short versions are given below.
Briefly explain who they are and what they bring to the party.
Parvin is an Aasimar who operates as a melee striker and battlefield controller. As a spontaneous caster Eldritch Scion Magus, metamagic is less available to her so she won't be going for big bursts of damage with spell combat. Instead, she will be using spells to disrupt and thwart opponents. She will also be useful in social encounters with her high charisma. Parvin is temperate and thoughtful, as a servant of a redeemer should be. She can be an encouraging, harmonious, and moderating voice in the party.
A brief overview of your character's history, showing what motivates them.
Until leaving for Mendev, Parvin has spent her entire life at the Temple of Sarenrae located in Gurat in Qadira. Parvin's mother Heba, who leads the Temple as Sunmother, is a well known and esteemed priest. In her younger years Heba became famous as a crusading adventurer. As the daughter of such a prominent servant of Sarenrae and an aasimar, everyone around Parvin has always assumed she will rise to her legacy and heritage to do great things for the faith as a priest as well.
Parvin however is less sure of her future. Living up to her mother's reputation is no small task. Her gifts seem to lie in the use of arcane magic instead. Parvin also wants to see more of the world than entering the clergy tends to allow. She has been delaying making any decisions about what to do with her life for a while.
In short, Parvin is facing the kind of anxiety and paralysis many kids who have famous, successful, and interesting parents face. How could you ever get out from under the huge shadow they cast? Heba is cool, she's done cool things. Parvin isn't as cool as her mom, or at least worries that she can't ever be.
Why is your character in a city that borders the Worldwound? This will likely incorporate your campaign trait.
Parvin wants to get away from the pressure and expectations she faces at home so she can think more clearly and work out what she wants. She also wants to travel and see more of the world. Pledging to fight in Mendev and the Worldwound gives Parvin a chance to run away for a while, but make it look like she's starting a brilliant career following in her mother's footsteps.
This should at minimum be a race/class/archetype combo. I don't need full crunch at this time, but if that's your thing, go wild.
The basics are Race: Aasimar (Musetouched).
Class: Dawnflower Dervish Bard 1 / Eldritch Scion Magus (Destined Bloodline) 2 - 20.
Prestige Class: Dawnflower Anchorite (There are rumors about a pre-selected player possibly playing a Sarenite Cleric or similar. If there's overlap with that player's choice, Duelist would be another option for Parvin that works well).
Parvin will be a melee combatant using Dervish Dance for Dex to attack and damage with scimitar and light armor, but her bloodline powers should make her more durable than this type of build is usually. I expect her to perform best by keeping fairly mobile and acting as a trouble shooter in support of melee bruisers spells, added damage, or flanking.
An option, depending on the party, would be to add Intimidation based debuffing as one of Parvin's tactics. With the trait Blade of Mercy and the Enforcer feat, Parvin could add a free action Intimidate attempt any time she hits doing nonlethal damage.
The switch from INT to CHA for Bard and Magus will mean Parvin's skill points will be fewer than usual for a Magus, so she will need to cover a narrower set of skills than typical. By default I'll invest in CHA based skills as the top priority unless party composition suggests other skills need covering.

Valleria Albus |

So, in the end, I've decided to apply ^^. Sir Longears/GM Toothy here.
Valleria is first and foremost a melee combatant. Using a shield and longsword, the plan is for her to be incredibly tanky, but also competent in bringing the pain to the enemies by slashing and bashing. I'd like for her to also be able to focus either on feinting or demoralizing, but that would depend on the rest of the party and if our dear GM could consider using the Elephant in the Room rules (for us melee characters, the removal of the main feat taxes is simply invaluable and offer a great deal of freedom).
I could see her being a remarkable military leader for the crusaders on book 2, despite being on the "wrong side" as an evil character. She might be able to contribute with either Bluff or Intimidate in social interactions.
Valleria was born and raised in Korvosa on a family of minor aristocrats. She once was an ordinary, happy and naive city girl used to the good things of life. She used to play the harp, was a wonderful dancer and was promised in marriage to a prominent young man from House Jeggare.
She was fourteen when Queen Ileosa seized the crown and fifteen when she was lured into the ranks of the Grey Maidens. By the time her indoctrination was finished, she was utterly convinced of how Ileosa was a savior from the oppressive misogynist aristocracy she was once a part of. She was sure that, with her in power, the whole world would change and all wrongs would be made right. At some point, she denounced her own father, siblings and fiancee.
When the noble Queen was unjustly removed from power, Valleria joined her sisters in a vow to reclaim Lost Korvosa as they fled to Cheliax. She was one of the 27 original members to form the Erinyes Company when they were received with open arms by Her Infernal Majestrix Abrogail II.
---
Valleria is utterly loyal to her superiors and to Her Infernal Majestrix, even if her goal is to reclaim Korvosa in the name of Queen Ileosa. As a victim of severe indoctrination, her worldview is very flawed, and some aspects might change during gameplay. She has a strong prejudice against men, and women that possess feminine traits. She is a misandrist and LE. Clearly an anti-hero, she'll be fighting the good fight for the wrong reasons.
Full Disclosure: I, as a player, am completely aware of how she is wrong. In order to avoid conflict with other players, I'll keep her prejudices completely internalized. Through RP my intention is to portray the Grey Maidens in a way that her views seem "just" to her, while making it clear to everyone how terrible and damaging is a complete indoctrination.
Hum... it is where the Worldwound is, right? Jokes aside, Valleria was recently sent to Mendev by their leader, Qualins Rachmirol, in order to supervise the Chelaxian crusaders. She arrived in Nerosyan and then toured through the border cities, being currently in Kenabres. She was ordered to remain in Mendev and fight alongside the crusaders until the Worldwound is either closed or she received further orders.
That was the official reason, of course. In truth, Valleria was exiled as punishment for not reciprocating Rachmirol's advances. Damaged as she is, she can't see it for what it is and instead believes she is flawed somehow.
Valleria is a plain human vanilla fighter and will be aiming for the Sanguine Angel prestige class. I'm choosing this PrC mostly because the flavor is just incredible, even if it has some abilities that are redundant with a fighter. If chosen, I'd love to discuss some possible house rules or alterations.
The Sanguine Angel is a PrC that represents the elite among the Grey Maidens serving Queen Abrogail II, now worshiping the four Queens of the Night.

Oh, thank you very much! While it is nice to play the hero types, sometimes I feel the urge to try something different. I'm recently gravitating towards mechanically simple characters so I can focus much more on complex personalities.

OK, I usually don't like to do this because I feel it screams as "hey pick me, look how I'm being helpful!" But since surprisingly no one did it, here is a list of current applicants.

I will admit, part of this is for my own use - there are lots of great applicants here, and I have been enjoying reading all the creative ideas everyone has.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Also, as a side note, I stayed up late last night and got another background vignette done. Admittedly, it's of the 'medium-length Tolstoy novel' variety - I have a tendency to ramble a bit when I write.
As regards my character, after looking over the Lost Kingdoms splatbook, I realize that "proud Sarkorian" and "wizard" would not exactly overlap - I'm probably going to go with shadow bloodline sorcerer instead. I'm just trying to figure out a way to make Arcane Trickster work with my character concept - I apologize for being so flighty with this!

There's literally a spell for that prerequisite xD
I know but given the backstory of the Third Mendevian Crusade I'm not sure anyone is going to volunteer to cast a spell to summon a devil.
Plus I've had some rather 'intense' reactions from GMs over the Hellknight PrC.

@Aria Ulfdottir: Considering one of the already chosen players is locked from the beginning on going for Dragon Disciple, are you sure about your concept?
Cecily, the chosen PC, is also Terendelev's apprentice...
Obviously the GM might think differently, but I'd be surprised if they go with such big overlap.

Biknek |

Hello, this is Rabscuttle's submission.
Biknek is a Kobold Bard with the Court Fool archetype. He's got some spells and songs to help aid his companions directly, and eternal optimism to lift their spirits in the face of, well, *waves arms at hordes of demons*
He has the Chance Encounter campaign trait and follows Desna.
I haven't 100% decided on prestige class, but I'm leaning towards Pathfinder Chronicler or Battle Herald, maybe Harrower.
He is in Kenabres after the events of his campaign trait and has stayed there as he doesn't want to go back to his clan.
Fluff is below, Crunch is in profile.
Biknek is a diminutive kobold with dark blue scales. His amber eyes gleam with intelligence and a just a twinkle of mischief. He generally dresses in dark clothing, with a flat cap. Slung over his back is a small pair of drums on a strap, which he also uses to hold them in front of him when he is performing.
Despite his sombre attire and the grim world he finds himself in, Biknek radiates an unshakeable optimism. With a sharp intellect and creative spirit, he infuses levity into even the most dire situations, using humour to uplift the spirits of his companions amidst crushing adversity. A non-conformist by nature, Biknek rebels against the societal norms and expectations, refusing to by bound by the limitations imposed by others.
His early life unfolded amidst the disciplined confines of his clan which lived perilously close to the borders of the Worldwound. Raised in a tightly-knit community, Biknek's upbringing was marked by rigid structure and strict adherence to the rules, and his carefree attitude often got him into trouble. Biknek found solace in the irregular rhythms of the world around him - the sounds of the picks as new tunnels were dug, the patter of rain that filtered down in the nights, even the rumble of the occasional earthquake had a music that could be found if you listened for it.
On a fateful day, he was with one of the surface groups hunting, when he heard the rhythm of war-drums in the direction of the Worldwound. This was normally the sign for the party to retreat back, but this time something drew him away. Slipping away from his band, he headed towards the sound of the drums. Venturing further than he had ever been before, he suddenly found himself trapped by a group of cultists. Alone and overwhelmed, Biknek resigned himself to his fate, when he was unexpectedly saved by a mysterious woman. Though her solemn demeanor rebuffed his attempts at conversation and levity, she led him back to near civilisation, where a patrol of crusaders found him and brought him to the city of Kenabres.
Reluctant to return to the confines of clan life, Biknek chose to remain in Kenabres, carving out a humble existence in the slums of the city. Here, amidst the other refugees and outcasts, he honed his skills as a storyteller and musician, using his talents to entertain and uplift those around him. It was here too that he once again encountered the symbol worn by his savior - a symbol he would come to learn belonged to the goddess Desna. As he learned more about her faith, Biknek has embraced her teaching and now follows the faith himself.

"The egg hatched today, and the creature that came out was questionably a kobold. It has clear traces of devilish influence in it's form, like a teifling but of a kobold. I have detected no alignment from the creature, not even the traces from the ritual anymore. The Firescale elders decided not to take the creature in, but they did give me some information on raising kobolds. I have decided to keep it around. Safer than summoning an imp, and potentially more useful than Sam, at least in keeping the lab clean. I am unsure what to name it just yet."
"Cinder is growing quite wonderfully. She is already very helpful around here, and has a talent for the arcane arts and may just be my most promising apprentice ever. Her demeanor is the complete opposite of her appearance, though Meena seems intent on turning her into another cynic."
- Excerpts from Morgana's journals.
About Cinder, a few tidbits.

If you get picked, all we'd need is a willing caster of level 4+ spells with reach spell xD
maybe a 5th level wiz/cleric/etc with a rod of reach :D...assuming the GM is fine with hellknight xD
I guess we'll probably know soon, the competition here is already pretty stiff xD

Cinder would be willing!

Firinn |

This is Nik's submission - bare bones for now but hopefully with a compelling (or at least vaguely interesting) backstory.
Crunch: LG Human Female Paladin (Chosen One, Warrior of Holy Light)
Mythic Archetype: Devoted Muse
Campaign Trait: For fluff either Chance Encounter, Exposed to Awfulness or Touched by Divinity. In an ideal world I'd probably take Touched by Divinity since it meshes well with Chosen One, but Exposed would work too.
Mechanics: Going to go down the Weapon Finesse/Bladed Brush/Slashing Grace path to play a very unusual paladin. High dex, high cha and going into Devoted Muse will mean no armor either. She'll still function as DPS and a fair amount of tanking since her archetypes will give her a lot of Lay on Hands so even if she gets hit she'll just heal up and keep going. It's going to be feat intensive for a while but hopefully it'll come together somewhere in the mid-levels.
Searching for meaning in her life she came across the small temple of Shelyn in the city and was captivated, soon devoting much of her time to art and music. Her brother, unfortunately, found Kenabres stifling and unbearable after the freedom of the mountain and fell in with a cult of Zon Kuthon which eventually led to their parting as he fled the city a few steps ahead of the Inquisitors, breaking his little sister's heart in the process.
Yes I'm very much playing out a microcosm of the Shelyn/Zon Kuthon storyline. Hopefully this one can have a happier ending and if not he might prove to be a good villain!
Left alone Firinn started volunteering at a local orphanage and eventually got a full time job there. As the AP begins she's taking a group of the children to the Armasse celebrations with no idea of what is about to happen...
The longer version can be found in her profile.
Hopefully that covers everything, please let me know if anything is missing or could be clearer. :)

Hellknkight PrC would for me depend on the exact order, Godclaw, Torrent, Gate and a couple of others should be fine for wotr. Rack? Hell no.
Not the GM obviously
Godclaw is my thought; it's what one of PFS1 PCs is. From the texts, "Rather than targeting the faiths of prominent religions, the order sets its eyes on supporting lawful crusades (such as the wars fought by Molthune and Mendev) and being at the vanguard of battles against the forces of chaos."
I think it works better than most of the other orders.
