Volitare zaps the wall, just barely missing the bleeding Mega Gelub as she does so. The doctor shocks the blob, and it's almost enough to take it down.

Kapteyn punches through the bloody glob, which deflates and sags to the ground, only a dead mass of grossness, as Almira is quick to point out. “Ugh, no wonder Lubose always gave me the creeps! That was disgusting!
Combat over!

The doors open up into the room revealing an expansive med bay that has a variety fo shelves, countere, and storage spaces on half nearest you while several beds, a computer console, and a large incinerator (positioned at the center of the southern wall) filling the opposite end.
The area is more of a mess than any of the rooms prior. Shattered glass lines the countertops, medical tools are scattered across the floor, the fridge door is nearly torn off on the hinges, and the racking is bent.
Just to save you from some scrolling back

Phipps & Dr. A move to the console to see what kinda shape it's in.
Engineering to evaluate the console: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Computers to see if the console is operational: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Turns out that Phipps is a Professional level hireling (+7 Computers), not the Basic as reflected in the +5 modifier

"That was very gross." Verissa makes a face.
"What do you think hapened in here? A fight?"

Dr A Prof gets access to the computer, and finds the familiar layout of a lab computer - this one was used to perform exercises. The data is too corrupted to reconstruct the actual experiments, but various bits and pieces of notes gives the impression that the operator was interested in the reanimation of organic compounds, organs, and bodies after death.
Beside the incinerator is a bucket that was used to hold paperwork and other materials destined for burning. Stuck to the bottom of this bucket is a scrap of paper with writing on it that looks consistent with the missing pages of the journal found in the archives. This fragment reads, “I grow increasingly convinced that the elf siblings and their gang are up to no good. After this next mission, I intend to voice my concerns to the Starfinder Society Forum and request permission to begin a formal investigation.”
That's all there's to see here - do you want to report back?

Though it's a bit sticky, the note fragment gets gathered.
Dr. A-Prof would like to find a working system here for Almira, but if there isn't anything suitable, certainly there should be something closer to home.

Agreed. If there's nothing else we can do for Almina here, then report back.

As the group heads back out, the comms crackle to life again Hey! This looks good! Almina says cheerfully, I think there may be a way... Suddenly, her voice cuts out and the comms crackle with static.
Only a few moment later, there is a high whining of computer coils, and the ancient terminals explode in a burst of sparks, smoke, and debris,
Damage, flying debris: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 3, 6) = 16 To all, DC 14 Reflex for half
When the smoke clears, the body of Almina is on the floor, disheveled but - as it looks - un-aged since her disappearance. She is completely unresponsive.

The medical center is quick to take Almina in as they ask you the details of her identify, where you found her, and any other information you can provide.
Presented with the facts of the matter, it is clear that this is a far from usual situation and that treatment will take time. The doctors promise to attend to care for Almina and doing all they can for her recovery.
With Almina being cared for, all that is left to proceed to the debrief with Royo in the Archives.
There are an array of sweet and savory treats waiting for you when you arrive as well as a piping hot pot of tea.
"I admire your dedication," Royo remarks with a bit of melancholy in his voice. "Lulo and Morning Star updated me on your initial finds and said you had gone to follow up on an important lead. I promised you tea and treats and you absolutely deserve them. Now, tell me what else you discovered."

RPG Chronicles misses a sign-in for Kapteyn. Could you add that as soon as possible?

"None of the secrets of this traitor evaded Our gaze."

We discovered that there was a small gang in Society that violated the rules and engaged in illegal activities. Apparently, they covered their tracks. It's probably worth finding them. There's probably more than one skeleton hiding in their - and our - closet.

Royo is focused on your report. He moves up upon the edge of his seat as the details are pronounced. "I would be impressed to to hear of any secret complex within Absalom Station, but it is a far more surprising matter to hear one has been lying under our gaze for longer than I have been here."
His gaze turns down with a somber demeanor as he adds, "add the return of Almina should be a celebration as with the return of any Starfinder. It would be disservice for me to not commend you for that. Still I wish she should be here as well."
Forcing is gaze up he returns to the debriefing and says, "Their cover-up is concerning. There are more names to reference and it may well be that all were purged from computer directories in such a complete way. Did you recover any digital media from the base? If you have I would like to pass that on to the Dataphiles as soon as able. We have already lost much time, no sense wasting yet more."
"I will again commend you for your efforts today. Rec Room 247 will be cordoned off and I will be in communication with the First Seeker to investigate the facility further."
That brings up to the end of this scenario! I'll report and create chronicles! Thank you all for playing!

AbadarCorp Entertainment |

Chronicles are up! Let me know if everything is ok! You can still roleplay your final responses to Royo, of course...
Thanks once again for playing, everyone!

Loxx modestly lowers his three eyes when he hears a question about digital data... He has yet to revive this part of the skills in his thousand-years memory.
Thank you! Great pleasure as always.
