Reesa hastes the party, buffing them offensively AND defensively.

Nikita sends out a volley of bullets that can't seem to find their mark. The creature seems to have an amazing defense against touch attacks.

Farrokh proves himself as the main damage dealer by Hitting three times, though the damage is reduced considerably by some profane resistance.

These things are not described in any of the books you've read. Some bizarre combination of elemental and haunt.
Did you cast the emergency force sphere after or before you let the protection from energy absorb the damage? One or the other will be pretty much expended as a result. I assumed you would prefer to let the protection from energy take care of it as it is more restricted in its application, but it sounds like you wanted to let the sphere absorb the damage. Also, how would you fire out of the force sphere surrounding you? What am I missing? Or did you intend to destroy your own barrier with your weapons or were you hoping the wall of force would be gone?

Normal attacks will hit, but judging from the other attack, these things seem to have enough DR to make your bullets ineffectual, even if you did hit. You would be better off using positive energy.

I'm pretty sure there's no choice to be made as the damage has to go through an actual wall of force (with hardness and hp) before it touches Shonne to trigger her personal resistance.

My bad. I keep forgetting the spell has a duration. Although is it still there? Just disregard the latter half of the previous post unless the bubble is destroyed by the breath weapon damage in which case she can and does fire at them.

If the force bubble still exists after the breath weapons attack, she delays her turn long enough to see how the fight is playing out, then before the next enemy's turn, she might dismiss the bubble and remain in cover as her actions for that turn. If however, it looks as though the elementals have DR against piercing weapons she maintains any bubble that is left, and casts flame arrow on her arrows that turn.

PS I don't see Ingrge wand damage on red who looks to have been his target going by his post.

I think it was included in the damage against black. That said, it looks like everyone else who hit was targeting whichever target Ingrge was going after, so all of the damage that the party did would still have been against the same foe anyway.


I totally missed the color designation in Ingrge's post and am transferring the damage to red.

Shoone's force field is reduced to 110-60 (hardness vs. each attack) leaving 40 points and casts flame arrow.

Elu deduces that it is immune to acid, but not any of the other elements and has the normal immunities from being both an elemental and undead (such as being immune to mind-affecting spells. You may look up both elemental and undead traits for a more complete list)). Based on her misty form she also figures that she is amorphous and has the amorphous defensive ability AND [ooc](telling you for free as it just makes sense) should be vulnerable to winds in some way.

Can't do math today. 110-60 is 50, not 40. Sheesh. Shoone has 50 points left on her force field.

Also realized I picked up the DR from the wrong stat block and they only have a 5 DR. So corrections will be made.

Elu starts spreading fire on the red/orange one in the middle, but only hitting with one of the shots (Touch AC 23, nut penalties for soft cover from Ingrge/Farrokh) and deals 28 damage.

There is a red and yellow elemental, but red seems closer to orange than yellow so I'm assuming you meant red. I believe the second shot does 17 normal damage and 16 fire damage, correct? The rest missed unless you know of a reason to ignore the soft cover penalties for having PCs in the way? Of course if you slip to the south a bit and attacked yellow, you could avoid the cover. I would not mind if you adjusted your round to do that.

You are not at least 5' up in the air, are you? I do not remember seeing any mention of gaining height. Say, if you DO start gaining altitude, could you add a notation to your icon indicating how high up you are?

Every time the elementals were attacked in melee, the attacker was splattered with acid. Farrokh took an additional 3d10 ⇒ (7, 9, 8) = 24 damage and Ingrge took an additional 1d10 ⇒ 1 acid damage. All absorbed by the PfA of course. You notice that it lingers and will continue to burn relentlessly until it is dealt with. Not such a big deal with the PfA and Resist Acid. I think it stacks. Correct me if I am wrong.

The elementals attack Ingrge and Farrokh, slamming them with their unholy fists. Again, if hit it will add a die of persistent burn.

If he fails it will burn for 4d10 ⇒ (5, 8, 7, 10) = 30 more acid damage and continue to burn for 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3 more rounds.

Ingre takes 1 acid damage from burn gained from attacking the elemental, 6 normal damage from the attack that hit, 2 negative damage from the attack, 2 acid damage from the attack, and needs to make a DC 20 reflex save to stop it from continuing to burn. If he fails it will burn for 2d10 ⇒ (4, 9) = 13 more acid damage and continue to burn for 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2 more rounds.

Numbers subject to corrections on my math (which seems likely) or a change in Elu's tactics. Please correct me if I got something wrong. Seems like every time I check things I find another correction I have to make!

Is this burn the same as burn you get from fire elementals? if it is then once you are on fire you don't get more on fire when you are affected by the burn a second time, i.e. you can never have more than one dice worth of burn on you at a given time.

Also given these things do burn, would anyone be able to cast resist energy on Farrokh as it could be a bit of a problem for him when his protection from energy runs out?

Reflex save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23

I'll hold off on taking Farrokh's turn until my question about the burn is resolved, as potentially taking multiple d10 damage per round over several rounds could very quickly kill him. If it is just an acid version of the usual monster burn ability that is less of a problem as it should max out at one dice worth of damage (although resist energy would still be a big help for him as even 1d10 damage per round could be nasty as its damage over time).

Regarding Farrokh's height, I assume to get through the door he would need to go down to ground level? If so he would still be at ground level as it's not possible to take a 5 foot step upwards and he full attacked last round.

For the attack that hit Farrokh there is a chance that it hit one of his mirror images...

Very good. That means that two more of your shots for a bonus of 68 damage putting yellow at -96.

Thanks for the clarification, even it that does mean more math. Could you perhaps cite a rule somewhere? I went looking for it since I thought that might be the case but could not find it.

Will also correct the combat card to account for mirror images.


Farrokh: gains back 7 damage and 1 acid damage and looses one image (leaving 6) from the missed attack, 17 acid damage from the burn since it is limited to one die. I should be able to remember the mirror images how that it is on the combat card.

This is pending finding that elusive rule. I did not find it at here, so where the heck is it!

Speaking of which, are there any other effects that I should be including below so that I won't overlook them? Tracking buffs is a difficult chore in higher level games so any help you can give me is much appreciated.

Ele swamps yellow with shot after shot and takes it down, it's gasses spreading out harmlessly, then switches to red hitting once. The girl is a lethal machine.

As hitting this creature in melee will damage Farrokh and potentially give him damage over time, it probably makes sense for him to see if anyone else is able to give him resistance to acid before he attacks this round, or if the other members of the party can take out the foe from range (although either way he will act before the creature has it's go).

If Farrokh is able to get some help to reduce the acid damage, he will full attack the remaining creature. If not then he is probably more useful tanking it rather than attacking it and taking more damage, so will stay in front of it to make himself the obvious target, readying an action to do a bite attack against it if it tries to get past him and attack other members of the party (the bite includes a grab, so he will use that to stop it from moving towards the rest of the party). In the latter case the bite will not include Power Attack for extra accuracy.

Attack rolls if Farrokh attacks:
Use only the first bite attack if it is for the readied action, but increase the to hit by 2 and reduce the damage by 4 as no power attack. If the rolls are used for a full attack then use the rolls unmodified but ignore the grab.

Pretty sure we still have 5 or 6 rds. of haste left from the last time it was cast.

She nods once at Reesa and then sprints off at haste speed down the hall deeper into the facility. Once at the door there, she speedily attempts all the possible keypad combinations to get it open having not seen anything obviously dangerous her last time through.

No need for perception rolls unless you plan on opening a new room and exploring. Basically you can grab 'stuff' to your desire based on what you spotted already. All of it is valuable for that matter, but lugging a man sized display consul would be a tricky proposition if you wanted to slip it by the Ghost Wolves Not something I would recommend unless it fits your character and RP, which might be fun. So...

Ingrge grabs a few things that look like they might be pens, though they have glowing tips. Magic pens? Who knows. Let the geeks back at HQ figure it out. Fortunately, they stop glowing when removed from the area. Then there are the awkward strange little square gun things that shoot out tiny (and quite ineffective) missiles. Gonna have to scratch your heads about those for a while, until you have time to question AI Isirah.

Agreed, but the capacity is limited. What do you put in there and what do you carry outside of it, if anything? And if anything is being stashed outside the pouch, how is it being protected?

The priority is to smuggle our AI core tablet friend out of there and get her back to the Grand Lodge. After that, probably stuff the pouch with small trinkets(cyberart, camera, skillchips, flashlight, filter mask), and disgard the big stuff. Just some harmless souvenirs :)

Hmm these things are making so much noise that one might think they were about to explode. Alas, no one knows how to turn them off. Shonne thinks to herself.

She spins round and tears off toward the last door to open still at haste speed. Rounding the corner she hops the grill. Standing before the door she looks for the button on the pad with the glyph that indicates 'on' or 'up' or 'open' or something. Confusingly.\, it looks like a "Q" with it's tail straight up in the air.

Shonne shrugs and hits the button. Really a knob would have been best.
