They have you working on Holy Week? I hope not.
Nope. But we had an issue with the substation in our plant. Long story short, we've been running on generator power for a week... So to ease the load on the genset had to shut down the admin building (i.e. all servers shut down, etc.) until next Wednesday...

Haven't heard from Ray in awhile. I suspect she's been grounded again for whatever reason...

The fire on the square where the roasted rat is should be extinguished now, I think. It lasts until the end of the rat's next turn. Or where its turn would be if it was still active.

![]() |

Thanks for botting the saves. Forgot all about them. Was woozy yesterday. Too much heat and too little water.
OMG it's so hot... you know that it's summer when you try to take a cold shower and the water that comes out is anything but! :)

![]() |

I know what you mean. I saw the leaves outside in the garden moving and as it was so hot, I decided to go out and cool down. The wind that was blowing was hot too. Lol

Rayleigh hasn’t posted in a month.
Safe to say the character has stepped down from the game?
Yep. I think she got grounded for something or other... must be bad since even her Internet privileges are gone...

Briney, Clara, Endra, Rayleigh, Felinzi
I have to leave this game. I am sorry for having to do so and leaving you guys with less players to complete the story.
Regards,
Ozul Fade

Since we're on the last encounter, if you'd like your downtimes part of your chronicles, go ahead and roll them.

![]() |

I'm sorry, I'm new to this PFS thing. What do you mean by "downtimes part of my chronicles".
Also regarding item distribution, its such a shame I'm not a ruffian rogue with strength. Can't use any of the +1 weapons. I will take a potion of leaping in one hand and stow an oil of mending in another. I would like a brooch of shielding, but I think a squishier member of the team should have it. The vine arrow would be best on an archer fighter like Endra.

Ah. Let me explain and demonstrate.
This is for Downtime Earn Income between adventures. Each adventure earns you a bit of downtime. It can be use to do things like Retraining or Crafting items as well. But most of the time it is just used for Earn Income.
To do Earn Income, you just need to roll a Lore skill. I think Crafting and Performance are also allowed by default, but you would need to check with someone who knows PFS rules better than I do.
So I got a Lore skill from my background - as is typical. And I can just roll that.
Lore(cult): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
And then because it is fun, I could add some flavor to it.
------
Felinzi spends some more time searching through the archives looking for any more dangerous, cursed, or otherwise interesting items. In order to bring them to the attention of the archivist, of course.

GM rainzax |

But Felinzi, what is the outcome of your roll?
What does a “12” get you?
How do you know?

![]() |

But Felinzi, what is the outcome of your roll?
*shrugs* I don't know. That is up to the GM to figure out.
I could look it up on the tables. Earn Income DC for my level -2 or something like that...
The coin amount just shows up by magic on the chronicle.

![]() |

Earn Income (the table)
Correct on: For PFS, the task level is your character level minus 2 (minimum 0).
Endra is level 3, so she can attempt a task level 1.
She is trained in her lore skill. So:
Earn Income, task 1 (DC15 Scouting Lore): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
That is a regular success, so for being trained she gets 2sp per day of downtime. PFS event types dictate a number of downtime days (I believe 8 for scenarios).
Critical Success You do outstanding work. Gain the amount of currency listed for the task level + 1 and your proficiency rank.
Success You do competent work. Gain the amount of currency listed for the task level and your proficiency rank.
Failure You do shoddy work and get paid the bare minimum for your time. Gain the amount of currency listed in the failure column for the task level. The GM will likely reduce how long you can continue at the task.
Critical Failure You earn nothing for your work and are fired immediately. You can't continue at the task. Your reputation suffers, potentially making it difficult for you to find rewarding jobs in that community in the future.

No no, Downtime 100% is the player's responsibility.
That some GM's do it for you is them doing you a favor, not them owing you a service!
=)

Crafting: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Ohh...that's no good. Clara earns 8cp for her troubles.
Clara messes around with some random junk on the floor but can't make anything useful out of it. She ends up recycling it for chump change.

Diplomacy also is possible if you have the Bargain Hunter feat... there are a couple of others but yes, it's mainly Crafting, Performance and Lore.

"Don't mind me. I'm just rolling downtime for the GM."
Performance: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

I'll check if Player Core says differently, but Core Rulebook says that Conditions with values don't stack and would all be removed if one of them is removed.
Edit: Player Core has the same rule. Same example and all.

![]() |

Yes, but unfortunately in making up the role a failure does in fact get sickened 2 as a result. So that's not stacking, that's just the result.

![]() |

FYI: I am going away this weekend on a camping trip and will be away from computers. I will likely have signal but limited ability to post on my phone and with little time to do so. I will check all of my games before I leave and since it's just the weekend I hope for minimal disruption.
I will return early evening on Sunday (US/pacific) time and catching up and resume posting.

Well GGs. It was a fun first PFS game. Exciting scenario, I did like the RP.
Shoutouts to:
Endra for turning the BBEG into a pincushion;
Nice Tool Goblin for the clutch potion and all the funny RP;
Felinzi because pyromania and healing is a good combo;
Ozul and Rayleigh for showing up and helping;
and last but not least GM Tiger for running this game and being patient with mistakes and explanations.
See you all in the next adventure! Hope to play with you guys in a game, whether as a GM or as a player, again.
Clara Moon will return...

Wealth is abstracted in PFS.
If you’d like to “keep” anything, you are free to, but it must be payed out of your character’s money, and the story we tell is that it was part your character’s reward and compensation.
That is the only way that items rollover between adventures.

![]() |

Yeah, when I played through this I crit a roll on the weapon area and found a +1 Striking Shortsword. Really nice. Helped in the battles quite a bit.
Sadly, it still sits on the chronicle waiting for me to level up to level 4 where I can maybe afford it.

For those who didn't leave an email in rpgchronicles,
CHRONICLES are here.
Clara, glad you enjoyed your first game. :)
Thanks for playing, everyone!

skunks had all of 7 hp... would have been easy enough to kill them all before working on Aslynn :)
