FYI Jaylen & I will be at Origins the next couple days, might be plenty of time to check for posts but personally I cannot get logged in on my phone. It just does the thing where it logs in and logs you back out again, lol, has for months (am in IT, tried all the things, hate technology sometimes). But def by Sunday I can make another post.

Oh nice! Some of our local boardgame designers will be at Origins -- have a great time! If you see games like Diceborn Heroes or Creature Comforts, you will be in the company of some Alberta gamers :)
I should also mention that I am going away at the end of next week and work is going to be a disaster between now and then (as evidenced by my still sitting at the computer at 10pm). I think I need to put the game on hold until I get back (July 15) -- I hope that's alright! Feel free to plan your next moves and RP a bit.

Okay, thanks for the heads up! I recently have bitten off more than I can chew and am running a PF2e game, and some PFS 2e Quests, in addition to another game on Tavern-Keeper! @_@

You folks are busy bees! I'll make a calendar note to check the game again in mid-July (or I will forget....if it's not on the calendar, it doesn't exist lol).
I did see Diceborn Heroes I think, there were so many cool games there.

I planned a couple of longer trips this year, rather than many small uses of my vacation time. Unfortunately, I also took on some freelance projects, which have been taking up my evenings and weekends prior to the vacation!
Glad you had fun at Origins -- one day I'll have to go to a game convention (other than our small local one, that is).

I am running:
The Celestial Regent (home-game) - My own take on the old Jade Regent AP. I have changed out a lot and updated it to PF2e. Two of the PCs are playing Kaijitsu scions and Ameiko is their older cousin. The final intent is that she will institute a three-headed Emperor-ship. The Emperor of the Sky, the Emperor of Earth, and the Emperor of Hell. Each will take on an aspect of the government.
PFS 2e Quests 16-18 Season 2 - One of the fine folk here bought me these Quests. In exchange, I offered to run them. We just wrapped on Quest 17 (which I started with at the behest of one of the players), then will move to Quest 16 next.
Echoes of the Past - PF2e Albion (Tavern-Keeper) - This is a beginner-friendly game on the Tavern Keeper boards. It is my introduction for some new players to the PF2e system. It started with my take on Colville's Delian Tomb adventure, and has continued with the players learning about the relations with the Fae Court and why they hate Mankind...
Burnt Offerings / Seven Dooms for Sandpoint (round-robin) - As sort of an experiment, I am doing the beginning of a round-robin game. This is basically for the forever-GMs. I am running Burnt Offerings for levels 1-4, where the PCs are largely kids making their mark with the Unpleasantness. Then we do a timeskip, and revisit the PCs 17 years later and someone takes over, revolving GMs through Seven Dooms.

Thanks for the reminder on the disadvantage. This game is my last vestige of 5E so I forget these things. Pathfinder 2e is what I normally play/run. I still like playing 5e but will never DM it again. Feel free to roll anything I forget.

As long as you explain in the interview, give them a heads up, I think it will be okay.

I applied a week or so ago to the school that I did my student teaching at. I got a call and they offered me the position. I am thinking of asking to speak to my former principal who is now the Super for that school to let her know about the bad report from the other school. That way she knows and can make her decision. The Job Corps might be offering my old job back to me later on in the week.
I would rather get a yes or a no from my first school and be able to have a job possible with Job Corp than to say no to Job Corps and not have anything if the other school does not like the report

I'm back!
I traded wet and 70F -ish weather in the UK for a heat wave in Alberta (although, I recognize the irony in referring to 90-ish as a "heat wave").

DM Paguroid |

Today was a 101 degrees
oof, that's rough -- I hope you have AC! (most homes in this part of Canada don't because it's not usually this hot!)
It's looking like it'll be 95 from now until at least Monday. We have had temps up around 105 in the last few years -- I expect I'll have that to look forward to in August. I grew up on the east coast of Canada, so I'm most comfortable when it's 60-70 and windy :)

Braith Ablewillow |

I'm with Gideon (in the gentle laughing kind of poking fun). Grew up in Florida, this heat wave we're having in Ohio is meh. Still, hot an muggy is bleh even if you're used to it!
Curious if anyone else does this - drink hot tea so that you sweat so that you cool down? It really does work, plus tea = caffeine :-D. But iced tea is even better.

@Toki “Toki sneers, Finally, a man worth killing...”
One of my all time favorite movie quotes.
That movie has my favorite chemistry between a party of any movie (second only to 13th Warrior). That scene of them headed back to Hadrian's Wall, where the knights talk about what they are going to do with their freedom is absolutely iconic!
It warms my heart that someone recognized it... ^_^

DM Paguroid |

Is that from King Arthur? I had to look it up :D
I have seen that movie, but it's been a very long time since I watched it!

Toki Sigurdson |

Yep! It is not a lot of peoples' favorite, but I enjoy it and the chemistry between the actors is great. There were a couple of lines that I personally would have rewritten, but all-in-all it was a fun ride!

I’m a fan of most King Arthur movies and I find that one to be probably my favorite.

Braith Ablewillow |

Yeah, they did a great job of character building, I can't say I have a favorite, I like them all. Lots of good lines, good plot with a neat twist on the traditional King Arthur, aces.
