I hate milk! And milk hates me!

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

Hey gang,
I will be out of town until Sunday, so I probably won't be able to post until then. Feel free to RP or plan next steps and we'll pick things up again on Monday.

I'm back!

It was a great weekend in Vancouver -- ate some great food, watched The Boy and the Heron, and met up with a friend from undergrad and drank too much beer. Well, just enough beer.

Work is getting ridiculous. The kids are out of control, faculty is out of control and leadership does nothing.

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

oof, that's rough -- luckily, I only have to deal with faculty and leadership.

I will probably be giving my notice in a week.

I had a medical procedure this afternoon. I should be catching up tomorrow.

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

no worries -- I hope you feel better soon!

I get my 1st level spell slot back after a short rest correct?

I envy warlocks for this. I am also not a fan of first level… we have so few options.

They get fewer slots though don't they?

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

I think it's fewer known spells that's the bigger hindrance with Warlocks.

Also, I put my back out on Friday -- I will post in the game soon, but right now all I can think about it how hard it is to move (as well as how painful it is to stay in the same position for too long).

Grand Lodge

Owlbear Rodeo

Oh geez, rest that back! I have done that on more than one occasion...

Oh no! I hope you feel better soon.
It is awful getting old

I know that feeling. I p I ably pull mine once every six months or so. Rest is fine to a point, but I find movement and working to be the best ways to get through it.

Thanks, everyone!
Spending yesterday on the couch with hot-water bottles and a large Naproxen helped a lot. I think I might have exacerbated it by trying to walk it off too soon.

Anyway, feeling somewhat better today. It's hard to not be annoyed by (a) hurting my back while not doing anything; and (b) it taking so much longer to heal than other times. I mean, I know I'm not 20 any more, but this is ridiculous!

Take a soak in a hot bath to stimulate circulation, and then ice it down after. It should help speed up the process.

Do Epsom salts help?

CG human ftr 2| AC 16 (18) | hp 17/20 (2/2 HD) | Saves: S +5, D +2, C +4, I +0, W +0, Ch -1 | Insp [ ] | Second Wind used [ x ] | Action Surge [ x ] | Passive Per 12

They may, but I do not know the science behind them. Perhaps if you have muscle cramps, the salts can help. The heat and ice is to create an increase in circulation and then a constriction to flush the system. It is important to drink a lot of water, to aid with the flush.

Well, hopefully that helps!

Feeling much better tonight, thanks!

I took a bath with Epsom salts over the weekend, which was good because when your back is sore you start moving awkwardly and end up getting cramps in other muscles! (I'm also not convinced by Epsom salts, but my partner is :) Regardless, the hot water was good).

Today didn't start off great, but the hot-water bottle seems to have eased the rest of the muscles. Still feels a bit tight, but I'm not gritting my teeth all the time. Hoping that by tomorrow, all will be well (I'll still avoid the snow shovelling that needs to be done, but it's supposed to be warm by the weekend anyway)

Good to hear!

That is great news!

Being in the category of folks who injure themselves doing literally nothing, Imma keep that Epsom salts idea in mind, and then the icing it down. I've been injuring myself by being alive since I was a teen, doesn't feel like an oldster thing, just a bodies are dumb thing. Or maybe a my body's dumb thing lol.

Glad you're feeling better!

Just moving this here in case there's discussion -- don't wanna clog up the Gameplay thread with my comments!

Braith Ablewillow wrote:
Here, but seeing nothing to comment on just yet, just goin' with the flow :-)

No worries -- I'm trying to keep a bit of a steady flow by posting about once / weekday. No big deal if someone comes in a bit late and I have to retcon a bit.

This is harder to do when we're in combat, so in those cases, I've been waiting until everyone posts before moving on.

Hope this is still working for everyone!

Sure thing! Was just trying to convey that my char supports the action going on. Sorry, didn't mean it to come off as anything else than that. This is moving along just fine IMHO.

Oh no, that's absolutely fine! I appreciated your post, actually. In this medium, it's a bit hard to tell if someone has nothing to say at the moment or if they just haven't had time to post yet. I just trying to find a happy medium where I can accommodate both!

The little bunny folk does not like that these goblins are shooting arrows at people so he calls out to red.

HEY! trying to get its attention.

No worries -- I figured people might be on spring break anyway.
(I had to work, but I'm heading into a 4-day weekend!)

I'll be checking in, but we can pick this back up next week.

And Gideon not only doesn't act in the first round, but he also acts last in the next one... so next week is good for me.

That being said, unless you are waiting to see what the others are doing, you can post your action at any time, and I will adjudicate them in turn order. It ends up being faster if everyone just posts their action when they can.

Bunny is dying :(

...and around Easter too...

Jacka-Lope is fine!

You took 11 damage (down to 0), and then were healed by the cleric back up to full!

I am looking for that but cannot seem to find where he was healed

Liberty's Edge

Male Human| HP 13/13 | AC 14 | Passive Perception 14 Rogue 2 | Saves S +1, D +5, C -1, I +6, W +2, Ch +1

Two goblins Orange and Blue target Jacka-Lope, turning the poor harengon into a mini-pincushion. Jacka-Lope collapses -- luckily, Winnow is close at hand. The dwarven cleric rushes over and places a healing hand over the wounds: Cure Wounds: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Post on 3/22.

HOORAY!!

Happy Easter to all who celebrate it!
