Oh that is interesting!
Well to tell you the truth there was multiple parts to becoming Sublime. First I wished for a blessing that would help me stay in battle longer, nothing as grand as your story. After the first week being this way I was hit by several curses. Sulvanii said that I could try and live with them, wish them away, or tackle some quests. I didn't have much going on so I took a month off from my duties. I returned home accepted my birthrights through combat. Next I flung myself into the gutters of my home town to clear it of undead and the nefarious group making them. Finally my toughest quest and last was to bathe in the blood of a hydra that I had to fight on my own. Apparently I just had to bathe in the blood not defeat the hydra... I may have gained some bonus perks for killing it."

She shakes her head no to the whereabouts of her sister. A tear forms in her eye and she douses it with the back side of her gloved hand.

Stalker replies, "We have our own magic to help with that. Yes this Inn likely would be a great source of at least information. Though we are not as strong as those in the Mercenary Brigade, I am sure some of them would like this mission and the others can set incursion spots for when they enter Fort Drelvev."

Stalker simply says a few words in response, "Knights of the Black Blade/Rose." He then relaxes a little with a sigh before answering, "I have four Wraiths trying to track down the Tiger Lords. They are working in pairs and only have one sending stone in each pair." He shakes his head at the mention of diplomacy, a bit resentfully he states, "From what I have gathered from our barbarian prisoners and what information sent back from those four, diplomacy is not an option. Now if we could convince the leader in our custody to challenge Armag, a show of force could do wonders for our future relationship with the barbarians."

He raises his hand and offers, "The soldiers and the accompanying caravans have set out this morning. They should get to Drelev in about ten days. Give or take weather and accidents. There should be no worry about bandits or even military forces from Drelev. I will set out with Larina tomorrow morning to catch up and keep them safe, unless you have other orders for me?" Then before anyone can say anything he blurts out, "Golden Wings? Antlers of Erastil? Deadly Beauty?" With the last one he looks at Ulricha and blows a smooch but quickly sits down.

At council meeting

Ulricha listens carefully as the meeting continues, excited at the prospect of the mission to deal with Fort Drelev. Helping those there and removing a weak and petty leader was a worthy purpose.

She grins as the council bounces around names, and mention of beauty and deadliness are brought up. It definitely applied to many of the company, now that she thought about it.

"Oh boy. I don't see us running into a hydra any time soon, but with the coming armed conflict, perhaps other feats could be done. I may have to have a word about that with Sulvanii, see if he knows tasks worthy of paying off a curse."

Would you happen to know any such objectives that would suffice for this purpose? Tasks realistic to completed, by a person not trained in the art of combat for most of their life?"

Alice had appeared at the meeting looking different as well. She was still her, but maybe an inch wider in her shoulders, likewise an inch taller and more graceful and alluring. Where her eyes had a shine to them to start with, they seem even more lively now. But otherwise she seems generally the same.

I'll update her stats later today.

"Like I said it might not be effective diplomacy. Diplomacy was not the only reason to send them back. Following them home gives us their location. One idea two reasons. One unlikely and hopeful. The second pragmatic. If you think your scouts are already on the trail may not be necessary."

Our general. There might be a call to march west in full force. Something our forces have never done. I think that is where you are best needed."

"How I ended up here... my uncle sent me here to make a name for myself. The expedition nearly failed... I lost so many good people on that trip. Those were dark days where we fought to survive daily. Then I came upon Quince, Katrina, Kevros and several of the original troupe. They accepted me in and I have been working as a guard in one manner or another since. Serving to protect is my calling. Most recently I have been the sole bodyguard for the Lord Commander. "Yes. It seems we have a contact. And the combination of invisibility and flight I would imagine get us inside pretty simply. Some time there will give us a feel for the city the nature of its defenses and so on. As for what we can do." He looks around out fox people, colorful feathers, rakish style, and half naked air corps commanders. "We might need to tone our look down at least for the intelligence gathering portion of the mission."

Quince looks to Vandomir and nod, "I do value it." He nods, "I agree it is a clear moral choice. Its logic is a question of feasibility, defenses in place and well . . . how quick our foes are to the knife at the hostages throat. We might learn there location in a castle dungeon. Storming the castle might trigger a death sentence. Make no mistake I want them free. I even think at this point most of the city will at least stay clear of battle if not join us, but the rescue sounds tricky at least till we know more. But an all out assault on the city is likely to endanger hostages to. So its intel, plan and YES I hope to see the hostages safe."


The other council members agree too. Bearik adds, ¨finding and securing the hostages is priority, though you are going there to find intel. If that intel is actionable bring it to your Lord Commander who will be in the field with you or staying at an escape point. I doubt he will heed our warnings of being in the thick of it, but he is well defended. Watch out for magic.¨

Huh, It seems I can see heat now? Fun. Lets get going!

Hmm, we got 2 days to make funny plots... Aerial insertion is one, aerial extracting another. There were survivors from the last encounter, so I dont think I can bluff my way in. We will probably have a part that is good at sneaking or disguising, and a part that isnt. I think the most important part is communication between these 2 parts, so the sneaky/cunning gits can call in the heavy hitters.

"That is certainly an option, for those versed in the arcane."

Unfortunately, it was something she was not able to do. Her summons wouldn't last long enough to scout and report back. She'd be waiting in the reserves.

I have apparently attained some limited telepathic abilities, funnily enough I had these prior to my recent transformation. I can setup a message link, but it has 2 sizeable issues. First, it only lasts for 10 minutes, second, its range is limited 110 feet of me, and susepctible to disruption from various enviromental features. A third issue is that you can communicate, by whispering, which can be heard, to me, and I can then communicate to others. It does not allow for lateral communication between you.

Better then nothing. I dont recommend summoning a Succubus, having her profane gift everyone and utilizing the telepahtic links from that as a basis for a communication node. Extremely-mischevious-at-best adrenaline junkies who happen to be personifications of evil make for very awkward centres of communication.
One could get the idea that he speaks from experience.
