The groups collect in the glade that Stalker and his Wraiths had prepared. There are tents in place now, looking in you see two cots and a bedroll on each cot. If you ask about them of any of the Wraiths they offer, "They are available to anyone."

If Quince does not collect the group... then Jorne would.

Ulricha nods, glad to hear that their leader agrees with her assessment of the goblins. Seeing the camp set up, the warrior rolls her shoulders, knowing that they were now entering the calm before the storm, with preparations made, now came the wait before the battle was joined.


What do you do for the next 16 hours?

The Wraiths always have two archers up on the West hill on lookout.

After four hours Katrina gets up rested and heads back up the gulley.

After being put next to a tree with vegetation around it the vegetation grows and surrounds her as if a blanket. Once rested she gets up and yawns, looking at the sky she nods to herself and begins to head up the gulley again, she looks around and sees who is available to protect her.

She plans to make the other briar wall and then meditate the rest of the time. Unless someone interacts with her.

Alice finds a nice strong looking tree, with a nice background when looking at it.

As Katrina sits down, Alice makes a clear picture in her mind and, when Katrina sits under her blanket of flowers, leaves and moss, Alice takes out her sketching supplies and starts sketching the scene.

She might adjust the vegetation blanket slightly in the picture. But otherwise puts care to set the beauty of the scene properly into a picture. She copies the sketch for her own portfolio, but neatly folds the original, and carefully puts it near Katrina, where she'd find it when waking up.

She would then sit down about a quarter turn further at the base of that big tree, taking a short nap, to be woken by her familiar.

Having returned from the cavern, Vandomir will spend some time with Rocinian. He will first cast [i]"speak local language"[/b] on her, and after they will have a nice long (40 minute) conversation in Taldane. They discuss the day's events, weather, and Rocinian will direct Vandomir as to just how best to groom her, etc.

"Yes. In my experience you are right for many of them. But I have also known some that were intelligent enough to learn and become civilized. Maybe goblins from the crown of the world are different though. I'll walk this one off then. He's harmless and can rejoin the group that was running away."

Once at the well-established and stocked camp, Xandarian chooses one of the cots in the tents, putting his non-essentials down. With the vibe of the camp mellowing out, the caydenite paladin decides to act the 'social butterfly': speaking with other new members he didn't get a chance to earlier.

Quince looks toward the rabbit curiously.


The next day comes but as you wake you notice that it is much colder. There is a strong breeze. There are black storm cloud above and as far as you can see.

If you are up before the sun:
You would notice Katrina at the base of the gully channeling more energy. The grey clouds growing darker and the the temperature dropping. Jorne standing protectively beside her.

When Jorrast gets up in the morning he looks for Quince to see if he can get a set of the wands before the battle, especially the wands of fireball and wall of fire....

Where is the army coming from? I assume it's from the bottom of the map, from the southwest, because that looks like the mouth of the gully to me, but I could always be mistaken. :)

Also, I added the pits and trenches that Chizzlall dug to the map, and where his obscuring mist will be when he casts it. He can include two more people in ashen path, allowing them to see through the fog for 10m, if they are near enough for him to touch them.

The enemy will be coming from the North or top of the map. To the southwest is our camp and the end of the gully.

Accustomed to waking early before battle, Ulricha is up shortly before sunrise. Getting dressed and leaving the tent, she breathes deeply of the chill morning air, enjoying the bracing drop in temperature.

Despite her sparse garb, she relished the cold, likely a trait of the giant blood running through her veins, coupled with a hardiness born of growing up in the forboding Tors of Levenies. Looking toward the base of the gully, she spots the cause of the increasing cold, the primal Katrina, working powerful magic, calling forth a powerful storm.

Those with the power to affect the natural world had always fascinated her, and she counted herself lucky to have one such as an ally now. Gathering up her weapon, she went to join those in the camp already active, ready to face the oncoming attackers.

Xandarian eventually gets up t the sound of people breaking camp and getting ready for the day. Resting next to him is his copper tankard filled with what smells like a honey ale: a gift from Boffy no doubt. With the ale, Xandarian begins his morning prayers to Cayden Cailean, asking for his paladin spells, and toasting his god.

Once his morning drink is gone, Xandarian gets dressed and armored and ready for the day. Boffy joins him shortly, having trotted back into camp.

A group of trolls and goblins find the gully first. The goblins get kicked down or picked up and eaten as the victim shrieks in terror. The large trolls don't find the stairsteps down very hard to traverse. They get just past the chokepoint and a large Jorne appears with his halberd cleaving two trolls and three goblins.
