Lilah will use the infernal healing wand on herself twice when she is sure that the fight is over (having previously turned her hands from two blades back into a woman's hands).

Koani finds Blarg stiff as a board, but the paralysis wears off in a few moments.
Blarg (Damage: 20)
Morait (Damage: 28) Fort save vs disease needed.
Koani (Damage: 13)
Nicklod (Damage: 31)
Kagerou
Lilah (Damage: 2)

Kagerou will suggest we re-distribute the potion of Inflict wounds to the frontliners, and offer to heal everyone back to full with his Infernal Healing wand.
Each charge is 10hp, just tell me how many charge you need.

Grandmaster TOZ |

What, I'm sure that's just fine, this is low tier after all! What does the party do now?
Blarg (Damage: 20)
Morait (Damage: 28)
Koani (Damage: 13)
Nicklod (Damage: 31)
Kagerou
Lilah (Damage: 2)

I counted 2 charge for Blarg, 3 charge for Morait, 2 charge for Koani, 3 charge for Nicklod, for a total of 10 charge of Infernal healing, to heal everyone back to mostly full. If no one oppose then Kagerou gonna heal everyone.
*stabbing people with Infernal Healing wand*

Grandmaster TOZ |

It was only then that Morait learned the ghoul worm had silver teeth!
Not really, but that would be a heck of a kicker against infernal healing. :) What does the rest of the party do?

Nicklod stands up and thanks Kagerou for the wand. Thansk, I'm better now. This was nasty.
Then he scans the room for the book they're looking for.
Percpetion: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (8) + 17 = 25

Grandmaster TOZ |

Nicklod notices among the rubble that once was the unholy altar of this temple a once secret compartment now openly visible. Within is a hefty tome, along with a scattering of relics, strewn about by the ghoul worm's arrival.

Kagerou walks up and Detect Magic on the tome. "Looks like something that people back in the lodge would be interested in."
Kn Arcana: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (11) + 16 = 27

Grandmaster TOZ |

The tome itself does not appear magical, but the headband and scythe that were stored with it appear to be.

Kagerou tries to identify those magical spoil of war.

Grandmaster TOZ |

The auras of the items appear to be that of a +1 keen scythe and a phylactery of negative channeling.

Kagerou is going to read the tome and see if it's the Testament that we're looking for, or contains info about our KIA pathfinder agents.

Grandmaster TOZ |

A quick perusal confirms it to be the tome you've been seeking - The Testament of Geb. You even find a bookmarked page that details the summoning of a ghoulish worm, just like the one you defeated moments ago. Searching the rest of the temple only yields a few more items among the dead worms, including a spellbook with the name Joktan Heth scrawled inside the cover.

Unfortunately we can only dig the place where our comrades have fallen to take their corpse to the Grand Lodge and some of the stuff they belong to them.
I fear that to give a rest to their soul we need more than we have here... says Nicklod

![]() |

"We learnt the whereabouts of poor Joktan, and located the Testament. I would call it mission accomplished?"

![]() |

Agreed. We take the remains of our comrades and get out of here.

Grandmaster TOZ |

Activating the token given to you for the return trip, the temple slowly becomes hazy around the party, before the floor seems to drop out from underneath your feet. You feel that recognizable sense of vertigo before the familiar sight of the ritual chamber resolves around you. A Pathfinder agent leaps up and opens the door to call in Ambrus Valsin.
"You've returned! Did you get it? Did you find the tome? What about Heth? Any sign of him?" The venture captains words tumble out in a rush as you recover from the disturbing transport.

![]() |

Kagerou hands over the tome and shakes his head "It was already too late when we get there, but he did managed to keep this tome relatively safe."

![]() |

We find both, but we need to send another mission for the sake of our comrade's soul. says Nickod before explaining what need to be done to appease the soul of their fallen comrades.

Grandmaster TOZ |

Valsin exhales slowly as you relay Joktan's fate. "When he and his team disappeared we knew to expect the worst, but I had hoped for better." The conflict written on the venture captains face settles into calm resolve.
"I think it best to keep the details of what happened to him quiet. If you're asked about him, say you recovered his body, but it was too damaged to raise, alright? Or if you prefer not to lie, just say you don't want to discuss it, out of respect for the dead. The last thing we need is rumors to start spreading. I'd also like you to keep the existence of the Testament of Geb to yourselves as well, for the sake of the Society."
Valsin beckons for you all to follow. "It's high time we got those disguises off of you. Once that's done, take a rest for a few days - you more than deserve it for the service you've done for the Pathfinder Society this day."
And so, after another drink from the Chalice of Undeath, you are restored to your living forms. The Testament of Geb is sent to the Vaults for safekeeping, after extensive research by some of the most esteemed necromancers of the Spells. In the days that follow, you begin to hear rumors among your fellow Pathfinders that Joktan's body was found in the Puddles district, the apparent victim of a mugging. He is eulogized in a special ceremony at Skyreach and a section of the Vaults holding a number of necromantic artifacts is renamed in his honor. And soon, the Grand Lodge turns to other matters, the fate of Joktan Heth all but forgotten...except by those of you who know better.
Chronicles will be posted later tonight!

Looks good to me. Thanks for the game! The battle was really intense and I like it.
