Jiggo is in good spirits. The mission is almost complete, Hatahasi is in good hands, and he's learned about a new society.

And then Suhko lands. Yes, it's definitely her. The woman who infiltrated the meeting in the town council. The woman who invaded their dreams. The woman who sent her minions to die.

"Suhko, the... Star Gun is a living creature! And we're not going to surrender them or the gunsmith. There has to be a better way-" Jiggo's eyes widen as he sees the drake fly off towards another caravan. "No! STOP!" Small particles of flame burst around him.

Salera grins. "Well, you made him mad. I love when he's like this."

Zhamie's attack looks like it should have hit the drake, but somehow it misses. Zhamie is so flustered she can't remember anything else about the drake either.

Fort Save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23

Voron's line of magic hits the drake but doesn't seem to do much damage.

Salera fails to intimidate the tiny creature, but her claws provide a follow up by tearing the creature until it falls to the ground, dead.

Clover, I would assume you saw Peter cast the spell that made the Red Dragon you are attacking appear, right?

Ah, I didn't look at the map before it was my turn. I was thinking that was the other drake Suhko sent against the bystanders. Which was foolish, because Peter did say he was summoning it on the ridge. I'll just stick with the second version, then!

Princess Clover moves up and hits the Drake with a resounding blow. This one seems more resilient than the last one, taking the damage and snarling back at Clover.

The Drake will lash out at the party members around it.

"My my. I'm pretty popular." She grins as enemies fall upon her. She turns to the drake. "Let's trash this thing."

She looks at the drake and grins as the tail wallops her. "Was that supposed to hurt?"

Voron moves out of the crowd, looking back and forth at Suhko and the drake. Surely he can aim two of his fire rays at once, and in two opposite directions. He begins the incantation...

Voron send two burst of magic at the Drake and Suhko. Both hit with devastating effect. The Drake slumps to the ground, dying from the flaming magics. Sukho is also hit, but she is still moving and in the fight.

Zhamie, I am upping your inital damage to 2 because Inspire Courage is up. That means the Crit damage is 4, with 1d4+1 persistent

Zhamie's shot with the electric Drake gun barely catches Sukho, but in her weakened state the damage is just enough to kill her.

The battlefield goes quiet.

In the aftermath, Sukho’s familiar whimpers nearby. ”Sukho weak. Runt alone now. Runt go with you?”

The grumpy elf un-tenses, and even smirks a bit.

Very well. It seems Hatahasi will remain in the correct hands today he remarks out-loud, to nobody in general.

Turning his attending to the familiar, he casts a suspicious eye on it.

Why would you want to come with us?

Sense motive (Perception +8)

No place else to go. Aslynn doesn't tolerate failure.

Salera grunts, and then frowns a bit. "Jiggs, save her if you can."

Jiggo tries to cast Stabilize. If she lives, Salera binds Suhko. "She deserves a chance to make a choice. You can't blindly listen to your mother forever."

Jiggo nods and looks at the familiar. "You are free to make your own decisions. I want to bring you with us. But if you are planning to trick or betray us in anyway..."

Intimidate: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23 Jiggo lets the threat linger as he works on trying to save Suhko.

Jiggo's Sense Motive is +9.

Runt is obviously cowed by Jiggo's threat.

If there was any mechanical benefit from capturing Sukho alive, I would let you have it. I realize the damage done by Peter's Dragon is mental nonlethal, but there is some question about whether the last blow would have to be nonlethal to not kill her.

Unfortunately, Sukho has expired, so Jiggo can't get her stabilized.

"Huh. I expected more from her. I didn't expect a lot, but more."

Clover eyes the drake suspiciously, but shrugs.

"Are you poisonous or venomous, per chance?"

Jiggo takes a deep look. "Mental shock. Cardiac arrest. Stress." He exhales his grief as Salera helps him back up. "Another victim of the night hag."

He turns to the familiar. "Come with us. You'll be lost out here, otherwise."

With Tsimaan’s help, you can resume your journey to Niishan.

The group arrives at Niishan with Whiirii and the star gun in tow. Dawn light pours over the town, dripping from thatched rooftops and spilling into opening doorways as the residents begin their day. Mayor Deyahi (LN female halfling mayor) emerges from a nearby building to greet everyone with a shallow bow. When Whiirii bows deeply in return, Mayor Deyahi kisses them on both cheeks. Whiirii then hands Hatahasi to Mayor Deyahi, who accepts it into her grasp with the same care as a parent holding an infant.

“I’m pleased to see that you’ve completed the journey in one piece,” Mayor Deyahi says, “and that Hatahasi is healing well. Please, join me in my home. We have much to discuss.” She gestures for the group to follow her as she walks away.

The inside of Mayor Deyahi’s home is richly decorated in blue, black, and white. Ornate tapestries hang from the walls, depicting stories from legends. An assortment of cushions is arranged in a neat circle around a tiny fire, above which sits a pot of boiling water. Mayor Deyahi places Hatahasi on one cushion and sits on an adjacent cushion. She motions for everyone else to do the same, then adds a handful of dried leaves to the pot. The scent of fragrant tea begins to fill the room. “The Pathfinder Society has made the correct decision in returning Hatahasi to its home. It is heartening to see the Society’s members are trustworthy, and that you did not claim Hatahasi for your own goals or relinquish it to the hag.”

Mayor Deyahi smiles warmly and places her hand on Hatahasi, thumbing at the remnants of the Chelaxian brand. “Hatahasi is, as I’m sure you know, part of Niishan’s history. It’s a member of our family, and its return home is akin to the return of a long-lost relative. Since you have proven yourselves to be honest and reliable, the Society’s members are welcome in and around Niishan for the foreseeable future.”

The Party now has the opportunity to speak to Mayor Deyahi about a possible Pathfinder Society lodge in Niishan. Only one Party member may attempt a Diplomacy check to make the request. Others may attempt to aid the lead on the check.

Jiggo is silent during his trip to Niishan. Too much weighs on his mind. He didn't have a lot of time to bury Sukho. He had to think up a eulogy on the spot, too. Just trying to help her pass on to the Boneyard in anyway he could.

And keeping his anger over Aslynn in check. He let Salera do most of the leading.

He wasn't too surprised by the mayor's shallow bow, but he was glad she treated Whiirii with more respect. "Thank you, Mayor, for welcoming us here. I am glad we were able to learn much about Hatahasi. I am proud to have made the journey to escort someone who was whisked away from home long ago."

Jiggo looks to Princess Clover, knowing she's a much better diplomat than he is. "Thank you for allowing us to visit. We will treat the people here with full respect and honor."

Still fascinated by Hatahasi, Voron sits on the other adjacent cushion opposite the mayor. He's never treated something that seems like an object as an entity before now, though he's aware that there are other situations like this in the realms of the arcane and occult.

Knowing he's not the best persuader, he defers to the more charismatic in this moment.

Peter will also attempt to Aid.

Low diplomacy; and with a faux french accent do you really want that help? :)

"Thank you, mayor. Now, returning Hatahasi to your people was our duty, but we were also given a gift for you, as thanks for receiving us." Clover presents the Segadan-spiced Arcadian bison jerky.

"We are hoping to continue to establish and improve our cooperative relationship. Our Society does like to set up lodges in the different areas where we work--helps with our travel and coordination. We'd like to establish one for our agents here--do you think that's feasible? Do you know of a good location we could use?"

Not likely to improve, but can't critically fail an Aid check due to Helpful Poppet, so might as well try:
Diplomacy (Aid, Helpful Poppet): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16

I believe I have three people wanting to roll to aid and two people declining to roll. Does this mean Martin is rolling the lead roll? His bonus is not as good as either Clover's or Peter's.

Ah. If Clover's taking the lead that's a 15--no Helpful Poppet bonus, but the bonus from Peter's Aid.

Oops. Everyone rolled to Aid, but no one chose to lead... I defered to the Highest Diplomacy check, which I think is Clover.

...but Jiggo has a Hero Point. He can lead.

And based on my roll, I'll reroll.

Yeah. Martin's more on the wild side so he has a higher Intimidation score than Diplomacy. Might make things worse if I aid.

Actually, Jiggo's roll is enough. You get to subtract 2 from the DC for impressing Whiirii, keeping travelers alive, and giving over Buffalo Jerky. That is -6 from a DC 19 roll.

The party, Whiirii, and Tsimaan have collectively repatriated Hatahasi to its home in Niishan. Mayor Deyahi expresses her gratitude, particularly toward the party; she names you as guests of honor in the feast that follows the return of Hatahasi. The celebrations last for days. Whiirii remains elusive but is occasionally seen at Mayor Deyahi’s side. Tsimaan mingles with the residents of Niishan, entertaining them with stories of her journeys throughout the continent. If she spots any of the party members, she calls out to you and extols your achievements during her time with you.

This ends the Arcadia Arc for season 4. I hope you had fun. I will be send out chronicles shortly

Jiggo spends the next few days talking to the people of Niishan. So much to learn. So much to see. Hatahasi, a much delayed reunion.

Salera spends her time talking to the people there- a bit of a rarity. But she enjoys learning more about Hatahasi. And talking to Suhko's Drake. "Hey buddy, you're free now. Go wherever you want."

Back home, Salera gives her daughter a hug, surprising the woman. "Uh, mom, you alright?"

"Yeah, kid." She grins. "I'm just learning how to feel good. And I'm trying to show my pride for what you do..."

Jiggo wonders if Aslynn even cares about Suhko's death. The caravan was saved, but only because he decided not to sleep in Whirrii's home. Such a pointless loss of life.

Jiggo's life has been full of luck and growth. Aslynn has so much power that she's wasted.

"By the way, Jiggs is cooking dinner, to celebrate with Niishan." Salera informs her teammates. "He makes this rabbit stew I've heard is delicious."
