Thank you, I was considering the change when I applied, I just didn't want him to be too focused on having an animal companion since I didn't present him that way. But the way you've buffed Khamsin it would be a pity not to keep him on par with the levels were at.

I'm skimming the boards for the moment, I'll get a post up in game once I've had a little coffee and can trust my brain to work.

I feel like I've bitten off more than I can chew. So to get Khamsin up to snuff I combined the Pegasus with the Half Celestial template, That combination is in the spoiler below.

Edit Would it be ok to keep the third feat from 5th lvl and the combat training from the trait?

Those are some unique questions that I am having a hard time understanding right now. I will look at them again tomorrow and hopefully can come up with some answers.

Anything I can do to make the questions simpler?

Realized I didn't roll HP, so:
2nd-5th lvl: 4d8 ⇒ (2, 2, 7, 1) = 12 Yuck, is there any sort of minimum? Or can I take PFS 1/2+1?

Reroll the 1 and one of the twos:
2d8 ⇒ (8, 5) = 13

Hey Davod, I love a good 'rogue's' build and I was admiring your 'starknife' technique. Where did you pick up the ability to use the starknife and getting two attacks with it? I was looking at your page and just didn't see it.

Good catch, Ala'lhys. That was a screw up on my part. I thought I had an additional attack. I kept thinking I was 8th level BAB, not 5th. Sorry about that. I'll correct that from now on.

How did he pick up the 'starknife' I know there are traits and feats for it, but I didn't see any of the common ones. What did I miss?

right, that's perfect for me, I just wanted to double check about how you wanted to handle rounds. Right now he'll just keep shooting from the air until all the crabs are dead. Then he'll dismount, get Khamsin healed and probably send the horse on his way until it's time to leave. I don't feel super comfortable having Khamsin fight without armor. But without the animal companion feats I asked about, he's not armor trained.

edit: I didn't see that the giant had hit yellow, if yellow is down please move Ala'Ihys attack elsewhere.

Ok, a little concerned, or maybe just confused. Is this a fairly normal way the group decides what their doing? I don't want to come in and take over the game. But the NPC's are spelling out options and the two present Characters seem really nonchalant. We don't have to kill the roper, but I've not heard an opinion from the other players at all.

Oh I know! It is frustrating I have had to lead them with the NPCs otherwise nothing gets done. I am doing my best to have the NPCs make suggestions or point things out. Though Aukan is used to taking command.

Also, in the case of Davod, he's spent is entire life on the streets. He knows life is very cruel and sometimes you have to put your survial first. The suli can easily avoid this fight due to his flying carpet, and Davod has no ranged weapons. Because of all Aukan's group has done for Davod, he'd be more inclined to help, since it looks like that is what the group wants.

Ala'lhys appears to be more altruistic than Davod, so the differences between both character are starting to show, and looks like irritate the archer.

Vivi is literally an oracle that went through different possessions, first a Succubus, later an Erinye and currently a Valkyrie. Her attachment to objective reality is... opportunistic.

She is not going to get close to the roper under any circumstances.

Oh, not irritated at all, it's just that neither he nor I know your characters past experiences. Part of my point is that all of the things you've said here in discussion could have been said in game, whether outloud or in thought.

The bigger concern is that you didn't have an opinion as to what we should do in the game. My general experience is that the players decide as a group, or as a majority, what the group is going to do.

Obviously when you have NPC's that are full members of the party, they have an impute. But normally the GM's lets the players make the call. Which was the situation here, as soon as Ala'Ihys mentioned the roper being evil and attacking travelers Auken (and the others) started talking about attacking from range. Meanwhile Davod apologized to the roper (which sounded like he would not stop an attack), and then said he'd let the ranged experts solve the problem. Varvara brought up a previous memory, while funny and revealing about her past experiences, it didn't help make the decision. Djyn pointed out that he could blast 500 ft, so it sounded like he didn't mind attacking the roper.

I'm just double checking if this is how you all want the group ran. One person making the decision at any given moment. I've played games like that, it was normally boring for the folks not making the decision.

Edit: I don't know if the group normally parleys with evil characters. Or only fights when they need to. Or figures if someone walks up to a roper they deserve to get eaten. I'm just looking for input so I can fit in the game.

So Ala'Ihys sees himself as a protector of the innocent and travelers. He was sent to protect the group, not put his moral values on them. When he cast the detect evil I was hoping he'd spark some sort of conversation. When that didn't happen, that's when I asked the question about communication here in discussion.

Looking back through the posts, Davod's next two posts were actions and comments that applied to what was going on. I guess I was just hoping for more of a quorum.

As a side note, I learn better/faster by asking questions, so I try to do that. If I came off sounding like a jerk, I'm sorry, that wasn't my intent.

With 6 hours, is there any reason Ala'Ihys can't take 20 (30) on perception or track to find what we're looking for?

There is a chance of failure for both perception and survival, so you could take a 10. Though you do get a +8 bonus on your survial check with Sasha and Aukan. 10+10+8=28... nope you are going to need to roll for each hour.

Still waiting if you wish to go airborne or not. They are good either way but letting you decide.

Davod will be stalking. Most of his experience has been street-level, and is new to flying, even if he has an intelligent partner. So the thief will stick with what he knows best.

The ram was heading directly away from you. Carpet flew towards it and looked big making it veer in the correct direction of the group.

No he will not get to attack until round 5... assuming it gets to him then.

I was going to track Ala'Ihys rounds and list his actions as 'sparkle' but I thought I'd ask if the 'transformation' needs a new resistance roll or anything.

Nope, it's permanent for 24 hours. Unless a certain item is used then it becomes minutes!

I'm in three games with GM wolf and read the discussion question in another game first. but I figured I'd answer it here as well. If for no other reason I think the green bean recipe is good enough to pass on :)

Favorite food for the holiday. Wow, not a safe question to ask a fat guy...you know I can't list just one. Mmmm, I grew up addicted to mashed potatoes and gravy, so they don't get to count since we'd have them all the time. But over the years there have been a few dishes that stand out and have become part of the tradition.

My father-in-law used to make beef roll-ups with a cream cheese and horseradish filling for appetizers, they're awesome. My daughter still makes them. She also makes a sweet potato dish that has a crumble instead of marshmallows which is really good too. The latest addition is a green bean dish I found during covid when I had to cook thanksgiving dinner for just myself, my wife and our moms. I've fixed it several times since then and folks ask me for the recipe. yeah, I saved it to my Pinterest

Yep, Thanksgiving was our first full day being married (and yes, I cooked). Did NOT have turkey which I missed, my brussels were amazing, AND we did not have a dessert item.

(At this point I just have mad respect that someone else in any of my campaigns claimed "fat guy" ... imagine 7th grade being somewhat heavy set and having somewhat prominent front teeth, yep, I was nicknamed FAT RABBIT)
