Something seemed odd about this town, Mitra’s Fist. And the tavern they were in, The Overlord’s Inn, was certainly
a bit strange as well. [Everyone in the town seemed to stare at them as they walked through, and he had heard more
than one comment about how they didn’t get any visitors here anymore. He began to wonder if they had made a
mistake coming here, but what choice did they have after their guide had died from a scorpion’s bite and a sandstorm
had driven them into this mysterious mountain pass?

The guard takes the lamb chop he is eating and makes a motion across his throat with it and takes a big bite.

With that, the rest of you can roll init. The bartender is grabbing his sword and the rest of them are drawing theirs.

No, he went into the villa across the way with his bodyguards.

The rest of the party is still invisible and will be until they take an offensive action. No point for the paladin as his aura makes him light up like a christmas tree and he has moved outside the circle. The haste will be in affect for 3 more rounds.

Everything went smoothly as they moved to the inn until it didn't. Incensed by a stranger wearing Moran Infidel bane's armour Ratel stepped out of the invisibility aura and challenged the man. This was almost certain to end in bloodshed, so Jim activated the power of his magic scarf and tensed, ready to defend Ratel should somebody attack.

Swift action: Spend 1 panache to activate swordmaster's flair to gain 5' reach.
IIRC you can't ready move + attack (although you can ready either individually) so this is probably Jim deferring until somebody attacks one of the party.

Rules

Spoiler:
Opportune Parry and Riposte (Ex): At 1st level, when an opponent makes a melee attack against the swashbuckler, she can spend 1 panache point and expend a use of an attack of opportunity to attempt to parry that attack. The swashbuckler makes an attack roll as if she were making an attack of opportunity; for each size category the attacking creature is larger than the swashbuckler, the swashbuckler takes a –2 penalty on this roll. If her result is greater than the attacking creature’s result, the creature’s attack automatically misses. The swashbuckler must declare the use of this ability after the creature’s attack is announced, but before its attack roll is made. Upon performing a successful parry and if she has at least 1 panache point, the swashbuckler can as an immediate action make an attack against the creature whose attack she parried, provided that creature is within her reach. This deed’s cost cannot be reduced by any ability or effect that reduces the number of panache points a deed costs.

Vital Strike (Combat)

You make a single attack that deals significantly more damage than normal.

Prerequisites: Base attack bonus +6.

You only have a BAB of +4

You confirm, but with less damage. Unless I am missing something.

Warpriests get this class feature that allow as them to select bonus feats using there class level as their bab (see below)

Bonus Feats: At 3rd level and every 3 levels thereafter, a warpriest gains a bonus feat in addition to those gained from normal advancement. These bonus feats must be selected from those listed as combat feats. The warpriest must meet the prerequisites for these feats, but he treats his warpriest level as his base attack bonus (in addition to base attack bonuses gained from other classes and Hit Dice) for the purpose of qualifying for these feats. Finally, for the purposes of these feats, the warpriest can select feats that have a minimum number of fighter levels as a prerequisite, treating his warpriest level as his fighter level.

If it matters I would have done more damage taking 2 attacks with haste rather than vital striking. Vital strike only added 4 damage.
