The harsh, grating sound of metal dragging across rough flagstones.
Terodius whispers to the others "Something moving in there, sounds like metal dragging across flagstones."
Daniel moves toward the door "I can be first in if that is ok. Ready? When all are ready Daniel nods for someone to open the door as he moves in.
Wordlessly, Terodius gestures Daniel to the point position... He quietly readies his longsword, preparing to follow Daniel and then Jim through the secret door...
So that's Daniel, Jim, Terodius, Garrett, Ciri, Korbin as our entry order. Let's do this folks.

Garrett sticks to the shadows and knocks a small arrow as he waits to see what lies beyond.
Korbin_Tealeaf
At the back of the order, Korbin stays quiet and observes the situation--it seems a bit out of place, a scientist experimenting in his lab while evil monsters roam the halls and inhabit the rooms--his curiosity is piqued.

@BrvHeart, do I recognize this guy from my captivity?
Assuming No, I don't recognize him
Although he was expecting immediate violence, Terodius does not start it himself. He glowers suspiciously at the the man, as he waits for someone more diplomatic than he to start a conversation (or for violence to actually break out).

you do not recognize him. So far no one has attempted to talk with him so you really can't do a Sense Motive with nothing to base it on. Presuming you can detect evil in this round he is evil.
Daniel Beatty
Daniel steps into the room and looks around. He fixes his eyes on the man for a moment Using Detect Evil and says "This is a bit of a surprise. Most things in here attack on sight. Including the room itself. You've managed to avoid them coming after you. The minotaurs work for you?"
Terodius Mitrakin
Minotaurs? There are minotaur's here? I definitely must be careful then. How did you get into my lab?
Although he tries to keep his face impassive, Terodius is quite skeptical that this man is that ignorant of the situation in this Dark Tower. Especially as he just watched us come through the secret door...
As the conversation goes on, Terodius casually edges farther into the room, moving to cut off the far exit...
I will use the sense motive from above, a 31.

"Strange spot for a lab, doesn't it bother you there's a dragon and many cultists lurking around?" drawled Jim who was pretty certain he knew what the answer would be.
Korbin_Tealeaf
Hearing the noise coming from the door to the north, Korbin asks, ”What kind of experiments do you do here—and on what subjects?”. He catches his companions’ gaze and looks meaningfully to the north, wondering if test subjects/prisoners might be trapped there.
Terodius Mitrakin
Terodius freights his words with threat as he asks "Sometime Apes, perhaps, but what subjects are you using right now?"

It is rather obvious that Korbin's actions did affect what you were going to do. Resulting in the fact that you struck a held opponent committing wanton murder. I do have to make a ruling here about study target. your target can't see you in order to do this. You are using your quote unquote Merciful ability To do so. While this is perfectly allowed under the rules It is not something Mitra would condone. If you're going to do damage do damage Don't use Merciful as a means to commit murder specially worshiping the most merciful of deities in Mitra consider this a last warning before you were excommunicated from the church.

That would be correct as officers of my court. Quarter is always granted when possible.
