"Many thanks Thoron, getting shot isn't the most pleasant of experiences... But now the wound has entirely vanished as if it never was." replied Jim as he headed back to the tent to try and sleep.

Yes, very well done all:) The party is working very well together.
You did find one thing on Roy's remains, a single key.
The next few weeks are rather uneventful. You work into a routine as the weather slowly gets hotter. One afternoon though there is a scream from the front of the caravan. It is your guide.

Ratel Dier |

Yes, very well done all:) The party is working very well together.
Ratel did his part, he woke up and got out of the tent :)
Having been assigned to guard the wagon in the afternoons, Ratel hears the scream. Standing up in the wagon, he uses his left hand to hold the back of the buckboard seat, and his right hand to shadow his eyes, peering towards the guide, trying to see what happened.
perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
Edit: I think you added the key part after I posted, or I just missed it. Hopefully someone will pick it up.

brvheart |

Ratel, you can see scorpions off in the distance from where the scream emanated.

"We'd better go see..." said Jim as he urged his horse into a canter towards where the scream came from.

I notice X marks the spot on the map - is that where the scream came from? If so is there anything there?

brvheart |

lol, the x was over Evil Roy to show he was dead but I will move it to where the scream came from. There lies the body of your guide.

Seeing Iz-dubar's fierce attack, Ratel approaches as the creature and its unusual gear turned to dust. He nods in agreement with the warpriest, "Yes, all praise and glory be to 'he who shines upon us with justice."
Turning away from the battle he approaches the sorceress and asks, "Kuleen Mahila are you ok?"
Thank you dear one, it was close but I am recovering. Couldn't do it without you ❤️

Jim gave the giant scorpions a wary look, they were bigger than his horse and crowding around the fallen body of their guide! "Careful with these!" he warned as he jumped off his hoarse and approached.
Uncertain of the creature's reach and wary of the tail stinger he called on the magic of his blue scarf, and stopped just short outside close melee range and executed a lunging cut with his sabre. His form was good although he needed to get used to the yielding sand to make a perfect strike.
Activating the flair costs 1 panache.

As your move action, yes but you will still have your standard, etc.

much earlier
Smiling at the white haired half elf, Ratel, nods, "You are too kind, m'lady, I but exited the tent hearing the disturbance. By the time I arrived Iz-dubar had destroyed the creature." Shaking his head, "A strange creature indeed, fire sprouting from the tubes in his hands." Eyeing the princess' sword, he gestures towards the black blade, "Speaking of strange weapons, your sword, I've never seen anything like it."
A little earlier
Seeing the scorpions off in the distance, he calls out, pointing towards where the scout used to be. "Beware, giant scorpions!" turning to the wagon driver he tells the man, "Stop the wagon here, hopefully we can turn the giant vermin around."
Now
Turning in the seat, Ratel bends to pick up his bardiche, pausing for a moment he considers taking the shield from his pack sitting under the seat. But he decides the longer weapon would serve him better against the giant arachnids. Having retrieved his weapons, Ratel places a hand on the rail of the wagon and vaults to the ground.
Two move actions, picking up his weapon and getting out of the wagon.

Iz-dubar |

The warpriest offered a quick prayer to his god and drew his longsword with a two-handed grip as he engaged the giant scorpion that lunged at Ciri. ”Step back good mistress while I dispatch this foul beast.”

You asked earlier about my blade, My sword is Zireael, he is a Gnomish blade and is 200 year old, very precious to me, forged by the gnomes of Tir Tochair. It was given to me as a gift by Esterhazy, the armorer and swordsmith in the town of Fano. If you like to talk to him about his history later when we camp, I will be happy to translate for you, he only speaks Gnomish

Your horse only took 16hp, 9+7 above and is only unconscious. Still, he would not know that yet and act like it was dead! The scorpion, however is definite dead on that crit, AC 16. Yes, my house rule is roll a 1 and you are done in the round. Just a simple fumble.

channel energy: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5

"Slim" Jim |

Jim nodded his thanks, saying, "I thought that damn scorpion had killed her. I've had Nancy for years, she's one of the few things I have left to remember my parents by. Not sure what I'd do if I was to loose her..." He laughed, "Well it would probably involve a lot of walking!"

brvheart |

The dervishes quickly come up after the battle and Haltashar thanks you for killing the scorpions. There is, however, a lot of chittering going on back and forth in farsi between them with a lot of pointing. Eventually, the caravan resumes its travel in what you presume is a westerly direction. You presume as the scorpion killed your guide.
Later in the afternoon a massive sandstorm comes out of the north and you are driven into a pass. Once it passes, the wagons are half buried in sand. The water barrels are destroyed and much of the food has been contaminated with sand. A rider comes back and says there is some sort of village about a mile or two west of here. The rest of the food is distributed and you all have two weeks worth filling your packs. Something needs to be done about water and enough food to continue your voyage.

Ciri Princess of Cintra |

I guess we have to check out the strange village, do you concur, we need supplies to get to the Holy Cities unless we all go to the village. Someone should scout ahead to see if they are friendly
k. Geography to know of this village and location: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

I should of said that Slim's horse had taken damage.
"How much longer do we estimate to get to our destination? And yes I think maybe going to the village to maybe get another guide would be good.I can help with drinking water some. At least to help fill water skins."
looks to see if any of the barrels can be fixed to hold water. I not will look around for any empty waterskins or containers that will hold water.

brvheart |

You figure another 3-4 weeks if all were to go well. Thoron, you can change spells out after you rest in the morning. Map of Mitra's Fist is up and ready.

brvheart |

Upon entering the village the first thing you see is an old marble shrine (V-2) and a hovel (V-1). Ciri, you have no idea about this village. The village is an undistinguished collection of small buildings hastily built from the fieldstones and mountain rubble of the nearby pass. Exceptions are the larger buildings of a manor a(V-5), an Inn (V-7), and the constabulary (V-10). Verdonitii, Haltashaar and a few others head for the inn.

brvheart |

Iz-dubar, you don't need to roll for a shrine to your own deity. It is an old shrine to Mitra and is occupied.
