Molasbar let's Aurie lead the way up the ladder. Aurie climbs up to the rafters and takes a standing position. "i don't bother with a sword when I have servants who can deal with the likes of you." then, hopping up from a hole in the floor, likely a ladder, two goblins step in front of her, short bows in hand. One calls out in goblin and Aurie hears the flutter of wings behind her and to her right. A quick glance shows her it is a pair of stirges (everyone knows what they are and that they are like a giant mosquito). The woman reads a scroll causing a translucent shield to appear in front of her.
"Get her"
they can see in darkness, average flying ability a little faster than a man runs, and they carry disease.

Thank you. I was going to let anyone else go first, and dismiss the grease spell.
Molasbar watches Rheagar's rapid descent, and decides it is time to try going up himself. If Shathee is going up this round, Molasbar will let him go ahead of him.

Shathee |

Shathee is happy to take the lead up the ladder as he's got pretty good balance and won't have any difficulty going across the rafters.
Seeing the others hesitate, Shathee darts up the ladder quickly climbing the rungs to the top. "It does not have to happen in this manner," he says with his drawling Qadiran accent. "The rest of your servants are all dead. There is no need for these to join them just for us to talk."
Bluff: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Thought I'd try to give her a chance to save some of her servants. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he was unsuccessful. lol As a note, Shathee has breeze-kissed active which gives him a +2 to his AC against non-magical ranged attacks.

Ironperenti |

Shathee shimmies on up the ladder but his words seem to have no effect on the woman.

If you see my round tracker and you have a <<< next to your name and you have already named off an action, that means I'm being a goofus and you may need to give me a little nudge.
Movement in the rafters is tricky as you must stand on the rafter which happens to be a grid line.
Leylia cast a spell and gives Rheagar a helping hand out of the muck below after the dwarf stands. Up above, the two stirges fly at the intruders. One lands on Aurie and Shathee, grabbing on with tenacity and threatening to deliver a nasty mosquito bite.
[ooc]The stirges provide an interesting grappling situation. They are too close and small to use two handed weapons on them otherwise they can be struck by any one handed weapon or smaller.

I read your stat block as AC 18 T 13 FF 15. Looking at your character sheet I see it should have been AC 18 FF 13 T 15. If you could label so my poor brain does not have to recall which is which it would be awesome.
On another note, I believe the view should be open for everyone. I even opened up the area between the lower floor and the rafters to make transitioning between the two easier.
Aurie quickly dispatches the stirge before it even has a chance to sip. Natalya takes the opportunity to try a spell on Shathee, "Let's be friends. My goblins won't hurt you. They are just here to protect me." (Charm Person DC 14, alas you get a +5 to the save if you speak goblin since you no the stirge was a directed attack) Meanwhile, both goblins shoot their shortbows at Aurie. They miss.

Molasbar inches forward towards the goblins muttering "I definitely should have brought a bow." Acrobatics 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21.

Aurie takes down the goblin sending it splashing into the muck below. Natalya seems indifferent, "I'll never let you take it nor will by slaves." Then she steps lightly away from the platform and moves toward Shathee as she fires off a bolt at Aurie. The bolt hits with a thud (dmg 7; Acrobatics DC 10 to not fall). acrobatics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18 Aurie easily keeps her balance. Forgot to substract ACP last roll if this changes anything. Base is +9, 5 dex, 3 class skill 1 rank, Aurie trips me up a bit because her stats are so high for a level 1 char.
only have about 12 seconds of rage left, and end this quickly, my gut tells me the lady is not one I want to fight while fatigued!

Shathee |

Shathee holds his hands up, shortsword still held in his right, and raises his voice, his accent thick. "Enough! We did not come to fight. Only to talk. Let's just calm down before people get even more hurt! Natalya, we're not here to take anything or to hurt you. Lady Heidmarch is worried because you vanished. Quit attacking and call of the goblins so we can talk."
Trying to calm everyone down. And not near the result I was expecting...
Diplomacy: 1d20 ⇒ 20

Ironperenti |

"Just talk? Lady Heidmarch sent you? Worried for me?" She asks her eyes flitting back and forth between each of you. She takes a deep breath and lets it out, "Ok, perhaps she can assist me in taking over the Tower Girls, I can convince her." Then she looks at the goblin, "Stand down."
R: 1d20 ⇒ 5

Shathee |

"Let's go talk to Lady Heidmarch and we'll get all of this sorted out. Besides, this place smells awful! This can't be good for your health. Even the back alleys of Katheer weren't this bad. If you need help with these Tower Girls, I'll be happy to help convince Lady Heidmarch to throw some extra support our way."
Shathee is very quickly willing to do everything he can to help assist Natalya with her predicament. Instead of having a long conversation in this foul place, he would try to get everyone out find a back way to Heidmarch Mansion so Natalya wouldn't be spotted and accosted along the way.

Ironperenti |

"Very well. To Heidmarch manor I will go. Goblin, you will stay here and maintain our stronghold. Your name?" she asks of Shathee. When he gives it, "Shathee, escort me to Lady Heidmarch." She seems rather impressed with herself but cooperative.
You climb down the ladder and get to a room where there is at least a little floor. Now that the decision has been made Natalya seems ready to get going and leads the group to the board crossing to the outside door.
Any healing or other recovery options before heading back to Heidmarch?

Aurie de Valois |

And here I thought I was the diplomacy specialist
Aurie goes out of bloodrage and sheethes her blade (fatigued for 4 turns).
She looks at Rhaegar, and, when Natalya is not looking at her, points to the crossbow sticking out of her.

Leylia Lucresh |

I'm getting very bad at checking in lately; I don't really have any excuses this time.
As the sounds of battle stop, Leylia pauses, wanting to peek at the top floor but wary of catching a stray bolt...or boot. Really? Did they really talk her out of it? Doubly surprised at Natalya's sudden change of heart, she maneuvers within the group to keep a close eye on her while staying well out of reach.
Something something 'gift horse,' I suppose...

Shathee |

I believe I was the most surprised by this turn of events. Charmed with no diplomacy nor charisma... LOL I honestly threw on the Diplomacy roll as an afterthought. I'm really hoping that I'm remembering our mission correctly and there's nothing else we're supposed to be bringing.
Shathee considers looking around for his arrows, but doesn't think it worthwhile to go anywhere near the sludge. Successfully bringing back Natalya as a friend, and mostly unharmed, should allow him to find another Qadiran thief's blade and a few arrows. Hopefully more, he mused to himself.
Looking around, Aurie and Natalya were a bit injured and Rheagar seemed to have the breath knocked out of him a bit. "We may need to clean out those wounds, those could easily turn bad given the..." he pauses trying to recall an appropriate word, "uncleanliness."

Leylia Lucresh |

Leylia points to her pack. "I have a healer's kit. And some soap. Sadly, I don't have access to that wonderful little cantrip some casters do that can clean things so easily."

Molasbar |

"The poultices in your kit would probably be best to treat the wounds. But I'll use my spell to get most of the filth away."
He looks to Natalya and asks "Should we treat your... um, minions as well?" he asks, glancing at her goblins.

Rheagar Stonewarden |

Rheagar nods, Gather close allies and friends, I suppose even Natalya's 'friends'. The blessings of Iomedae will mend your wounds. he closes his eyes for a moment, with divine energy pulsing from him twice.
channel positive: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4

Aurie de Valois |

Iomedae? Curious, some parts of her Paladin code and the Code Duello I follow are pretty identical, only parts of course... She mentions
I am first to join battle and last to leave it
I do not abandon my allies
I accept any challenge from an equal She says all 3 with a degree of conviction.
Lets just say that well, temperance, no base behaviour etc. arent exactly part of my code, what is base or not lies in the eyes of the beholder anyway. she chuckles at that.

Rheagar Stonewarden |

Interesting comparison, we've got much ground to cover with you it seems. the dwarf laughs, The Redeemer welcomes any who would walk in her light. But of course, I would welcome hearing more of your Code as time permits. he says, stowing the crossbow as the party clambers their way out of the building.

Aurie de Valois |

I had a similar conversation with a Callistrian war priestess once, you meet all kinds of people in the arena. A fair bit of partial overlap there as well.
I still maintain that poisoned whips just need too much effort, and just dont work against like, half of what you encounter on a typical adventure day. The Duelist chuckles at some memories
Thanks for the healing!

Ironperenti |

Everyone heads out over the final board to the outside. As soon as Natalya opens the door to the outside some of you get a funny feeling.
