Aurie de Valois |

Alright, lets dance!
Aurie indeed starts dancing, not yet bloodraging, see seeks to get in hits among her well covered foes.
main hand: 1d20 + 5 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 1 - 1 = 19
damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3
off hand: 1d20 + 5 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 1 - 2 = 16
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
With presumably middling results.

Shathee |

Shathee swipes at the retreating goblin with his blade, aiming to cut down the small creature and prevent it from coming back out to harass them later.
Shortsword: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
"These creatures are very annoying. Though I do not see us attempting to run after them into these sewers. I hope they do not bites us in the rump."

Rheagar Stonewarden |

Rheagar moves very cautiously around the right hand side of the room, taking his time to get there carefully. Eh goblins, this sewer fits their ilk- but we dwarves are used to fighting them in tight spaces in the dark. We'll be fine once we get around all these falling parts.

Leylia Lucresh |

I have GOT to learn some more proactive spells... Leylia attempts to catch up to Aurie, reckoning she's most likely to run into more trouble first. "Don't run out of sight! I can't bring you luck if I can't see you!" and to punctuate, she renews her protective luck on Aurie.

Ironperenti |

I'm an imbecile for letting the explanation in the book for this room lead me astray. Note that the darker brown floor areas with lines leading represent the sides of the floor, not a passable area. For this room however, we will leave it so that you may pass these areas with the DC 10 acrobatics.
The last goblin makes it through the hole but not before it gets striped by Shathee for its troubles. You can hear them chattering up a storm from the hole.
Most curses for being overrun but one of them does say hurry and climb faster.

Shathee |

Shathee heads towards the door, knowing that the element of surprise is over, and gets ready to head in to the next room.
"Watch for any surprise on the other side," he offers as he checks the door for any signs of traps.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Ironperenti |

Shathee walks to the door with Rheager giving him space. Then he searches but finds no traps and eases the door open. There is a little bit of a ledge on the eastern side of the room and a small corner of ground where the goblins had exited the hole. They have a ladder to the rafters where they have escaped.

Aurie de Valois |

Aurie is right behind Shathee
It may sound weird, but my mother raised me in Galtese military doctrine, Jeune Ecole to be precise, always seize the initiative, always strike first and hard, decide, act, and adapt rapidly, and a good plan executed right now is worth 10 times a great plan executed too late. She pauses
Given Galts military glory, or lack thereoff, it may well be a bit too eager on seizing the opportunity, but I think the basic concept is sound. She adds, whispering.

Ironperenti |

It will take a ranged attack to hit the goblins. To get to their small piece of remaining floor would require a difficult bit of bouldering across the wall or for you to go back to the previous room and crawl through the hole they retreated through.
You see the two goblins come off the ladder onto the rafters and call out to someone to the west. "They are coming!"
When you look at the map, I have opened up the rafters to the right/east of the ground floor.

Shathee |

"Let's move in before they get set!" Shathee says as he springs through the door with his bow in hand.
Assuming if we're not in initiative yet this will get us started. Do we need to roll that up or can I take a shot with my bow?

Ironperenti |

All doors represented are on the level with the original floor. There is one ladder that leads down into the muck otherwise all others lead up into the rafters/old attic area. The one that leads into the muck has a green rectangle around it. You cannot see it yet.
Shathee finds the ground he steps onto presents dangerous footing (Acrobatics DC 10). Leylia and Rheagar both notice that the goblins each dropped their heavy crossbows and about 10 bolts between them. Peaking through the hole the goblins fled through, Rheagar can see a ladder heading up into the rafters and small spit of dirt where the floor used to be at the base of the ladder.
The goblins were climbing while you were walking around. We will pick up in round 5, I don't believe Aurie has a ranged attack so we will start with Shathee.

As a note, Shathee has a +10 Acrobatics, so he can't fail the check moving around. Woo-hoo! But I'll roll it for posterity's sake.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Shathee nimbly darts moves across the slanted ground and aims his shortbow up at the goblin that appears the worst off, hoping a solid hit will at least knock the critter down to their level.
Shortbow: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Rheagar Stonewarden |

Rheagar sings his shield and sheathes his sword, scooping up the crossbow and preparing to load it. The Inheritor dislikes using the tools of the enemy, but in times of great need she understands. he says, sighing disgustedly about not being able to close with the goblins.

Ironperenti |

Shathee's arrow goes awry. Meanwhile, Rheagar thinks he can make it through the hole if crouches low, the taller people will need to crawly most likely.
Note that your actions do not have to be posted in initiative order regarding other heroes. You only need wait if you are actually waiting to see what the other characters will do.

Molasbar dips a finger into his pouch and pulls it back out. The tip of his fingers now glistens with a smear of butter. When he utters an arcane syllable, the butter disappears.
Casting grease on the section of ladder being used by the uninjured goblin. His DC for the spell is reflex 16.

Ironperenti |

If you get a chance to look at the map it will help with the location of everyone. As it is, Molasbar would need to move to the door and look up.
Molasbar moved forward and looked through the door. Looking up, he casts his grease spell on the rafters where the goblins stand. They both slip and fall into the sludge below. One lies unconscious, the other struggles to right himself.

Leylia Lucresh |

I'M ALIVE! Thought my damn hard drive died on me a couple nights ago; turns out it was most likely just overheated from this insufferable Texas heat. Had an idea to troubleshoot or find a workaround but it booted up just fine tonight. Gift horse!
Leylia shimmies, shuffles and tiptoes when needed to keep up with the moving battle. should've spent a little less time in the libraries and a bit more at the training grounds... not that I'll say that to Dad...
acrobatics if needed: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
As she has a spare moment on relatively solid footing, she sends a bit of good luck Aurie's way, just in case.
protective luck on Aurie!

Ironperenti |

At this point the heroes find themselves in command of the situation. Aurie and Leylia fully in the southern room, Rheagar peering through the hole in the wall, Molasbar peering through the doorway, and Shathee being just inside the doorway in the northern room in whose pit the goblins had fallen.
Actions?

Molasbar |

Molasbar follow Rheagar into the room. Peering at the goblins miserable situation, he sends a glob of acid down to make it just a little worse.
Acid splash the conscious goblin, to hit 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13, damage 1d3 + 0 ⇒ (1) + 0 = 1.

Aurie de Valois |

I seriously need to invest in some form of ranged combat Aurie remarks
As she jumps down on the unconsious goblin, essentially using him as a footstool, slicing the other goblin with her rapier in the process.
acrobatics: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
attack: 1d20 + 1 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 1 + 6 = 24
damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3
fortsave: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
And probaby in a heftier weapon then a Rapier as well. She adds, seeming unsatisfied with the damage her rapier strikes are doing.

Ironperenti |

Rheagar ducks through the hole and places a foot on the lower rung of the ladder for balance. Molasbar's acid hits home causing the remaining goblin to squeal. And Aurie lands on the unconscious goblin driving its body under the sludge before drawing blood from the remaining goblin. The now injured goblin scampers away from Aurie. You notice these goblins have apparently adapted to the muck as he has webbing between his long toes allowing him to basically run across the top of the sludge. This does not help him too much as Aurie slashes him again as he speeds into the corner, trapped.
Aurie Aoo: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 241d6 ⇒ 3
This highlights a house rule that may have gotten overlooked. Shathee and I discussed this in the recruitment. If you take Weapon Finesse with a finesse weapon you may use your Dex for damage instead of your strength.

Leylia Lucresh |

Still quite anxious about the sludge and the footing, Leylia is careful to take her time crossing into the next chamber. Of all the things I THOUGHT I was ready for, we had to walk into THIS situation...nonono, Leylia, don't grouse; this is what you signed up for. Mom and Dad have probably crawled through a hundred sewers; if you whine about this they will NEVER let you live it down.
takin it slow; acrobatics is NOT my strong suit...

Ironperenti |

Molasbar and Leylia find themselves having to cling to the sides of the wall, luckily it has several holes in it as the plaster slowly falls away, and tip-toe along the side of the muck pit. Rheagar seems to have the most steady position but he will need to move, climb up or back through the hole, for the others to advance. The goblin points up and to the west as it cries out from his corner "No kill. Long shanks big boss up there."

Give me your crossbow and I wont kill you Aurie offers, sheathing he kukri while pointing her rapier at the goblins throat.
intimidate: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
If he gives his crossbow up:
acrobatics: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Aurie takes the crossbow in her left,
and athletically jumps from the goblin she is using as a footstool, on the head of the cowering goblin and then on a nearby wall, to easily reach the top layer where the rest of the party is.
If he does not give the crossbow up, but instead throws down his weapon and cowers:
Aurie, who is not currently bloodraging, decides against killing a cowering foe and athletically uses him as a jumping point to reach "solid ground" instead.

Shathee |

Shathee eyes the goblin Aurie leaps off of, wary of more tricks, but doesn't shoot it with his bow. But he keeps his an arrow knocked and ready in case it decides to try anything suspicious.
Readying action against the goblin taking an offensive action. Other than than, he'll wait until we can move through the door as he is currently last in line.

Ironperenti |

Rheagar climbs the ladder. At the top he sees an attractive woman to the west in what seems to be the chimney hollowed out. He can see the grease Molasbar used to unseat the goblins (rafters outlined in green). There are no handholds so once he begins to move about he will need to maintain good balance (acrobatics DC 10 to move about). It would be easier to sit and scoot but rather slow (no DC but movement reduced to 5').

Rheagar Stonewarden |

Rheagar calls out, These rafters are terrible! Hey Lassie! That's enough right there, let's talk this out! he says trying to precariously move forward on the rafters.
Acrobatics, lol: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (8) - 4 = 4
Not sure if that failure means a fall or just can't move?

Ironperenti |

Treat the acrobatics for balance similar to climb, failing by 5 or more results in a fall. In this case you can make a DC 15 reflex save to drop onto the rafter.
Rheagar REF: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (8) + 0 = 8
Rheagar loses his balance as soon as he starts to move along the rafters. With a curse the dwarf goes falling past everyone and lands in the muck below (8 non-lethal and Rheagar is prone).
Make a DC 13 FOR save for falling in the muck.

Aurie de Valois |

The fair Natalya Vancaskerkin I presume?
acrobatics: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
The agile bloodrager easily moves up the rafters, her lithe form evidently being a bit more suited to such pursuits.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Our mission parameters are a bit... unusual. We are to extract you, not to kill you. Perhaps we can negotiate and avoid further bloodshed? And perhaps you will find it preferable to simply talk to our employer directly? A pledge of safe conduct could be negotiated for.
Aurie opens with a pitch rather then a sword blow.
I will sheathe my blade if you sheathe yours.

Leylia Lucresh |

Leylia gasps a little as Rheagar slips and winces as he lands in the reeking slop. Alright, not doing THAT, then...Oh good, someone's chatting up Natalya. Just in case though... She casts a spell, enshrouding herself in a suit of force.
castin' that mage armor, AC 16 for a while.
