He glances in the door from which the two thugs came out. "Let us be careful and see if we can find Natalya."

Rheagar steps into the room and it is quickly apparent that this must have been a storage shed or merely a guard shack as there are no entrances into the main building. Having walked all the way around the building, Rheagar can only recall one other door and that is on the south side. All of the windows are possible means of entry but they are all boarded up.

Aurie nods and takes position at the southern door, trying to move stealthily as she listens in.

Shathee can now control his own token.
The team moves to the door, Shathee taking lead to inspect the door. Aurie lends her expertise as well, spotting no traps but hearing the flow of water. Finding nothing untoward about the door and hearing nothing threatening, Shathee opens the door.
The entire floor of this chamber has collapsed into the pool of water five feet below. The earthen walls of this flooded subcellar ooze with foul rivulets, and the smell is abominable. Two oozing sewer pipes protrude through the east wall of this pit just above the level of the sewage. Part of the ceiling above the entrance has collapsed, revealing an attic crawlspace above; a rickety ladder leads up from the water into the crawlspace. A door stands in the far wall across the sludge pit. A wooden plank balanced between both doors makes a precarious bridge between the two doors.

Shathee begins balancing and making his way over the standing water, attempting to make his way to the far ladder.

Map is opened, my apologies. My kiddos are out of the house and instead of making it easier to focus I seem to be out of sorts. It's thrown off my routine. The ladder is on your side of the room. You merely need to reach for it.
The ladder does not look like it will bear weight, too rotten.

Aurie moves over the boards to the door after cautioning Shathee away from the ladder. Shathee follows and no sooner than steps on the board when a group of three goblins come out of the sewer pipes. Two of them start pelting the with nasty little balls while the third moves toward the board with a broomstick.

Whereas the goblins seem to have the ability to nearly run on top of the stuff, only sinking a little as they move, Aurie finds she is up to her hips in, well, that. However, she lands safely and her swing sorely wounds the closest goblin.

Leylia shudders as her senses involuntarily try to reject the ungodly stench. As the ambush unfolds and Aurie plunges into the muck, she moves to keep sight on her teammate and twists her fingers in the air, laying a bit of luck on Aurie as the goblins pelt her.
in other words, attack rolls against Aurie have "disadvantage" until my next turn. Suck it, Gobbos!

Shathee considers pinning the small goblins with a dagger, but changes his mind at the thought of trying to retrieve the metal from the muck. Instead, he quickly draws his shortbow from his shoulder, knocks a feathered arrow and lets it fly at the goblin holding the broomstick below him in the muck.

Not sure if they're still flatfooted or not, so including sneak attack damage separately just in case. Definitely trying to take down the one who aims to knock us in the filth.

Shathee follows up with a bow shot that nearly fells another. Then Molasbar hurls a blob of acid which further injures the goblin wounded by Aurie. The third is so intent on trying to topple the board above with his pole he doesn't notice the others flee. With a mighty heave from his tiny arms he manages to upset the board sending Shathee into the muck (acrobatics DC 15 to land on your feet). He gives a cry of triumph before he realizes he is alone.

Shathee grabs ahold of the board with one hand as he falls down, steadying himself as he plops into the muck with a sickening splash. He closes his eyes for just a moment as a wave of nausea passes over him.
With his bow still in his left hand, he draws his shortsword from its scabbard and slashes at the goblin standing next to him on top of the muck.

With a sucking noise as they come out of the sewage mud mixture Aurie and Shathee are assisted in making it up the earthen sides of the pit by their companions. A directed use of prestidigitation by Molasbar gets them both clean looking but some of the smell still clings to them. A good washing will still be in order. Looking about them it seems the door is the only safe route unless someone wishes to try and climb the walls to see where the ladder may have led to.

Mother's NEVER going to let me live this down. 'You really should spring for a crossbow, dear. You never know when a simple bolt can be worth more than a spell.' Ugh...
With some visible effort, Leylia fights the urge to retch at the lingering smell and aids in the magical touch-up as best she can. "That... is going to make eating difficult for a day or two. Desna's lucky dice, that is horrid. I wonder if anyone in city planning actually realizes just how bad this waste can get."

Aurie is extremely acrobatic, but climbing? not so much :).
She holds up several fingers as if counting down (fatigued for 4, used 2 rounds of rage), motioning to the party to not continue yet.

Molasbar pulls his filter scarf up over his nose and mouth as he works his magic. When the cleansing is done, he steps back and says "That's as good as I can do for now. If you start feeling unwell, say something. Rheagar has a good eye for illnesses and tending to them, and that can't have been a healthy plunge."

Shathee thanks the group greatly for the help out of the grime as well as the magical cleaning. He's smelled some pretty foul stuff in his life on the streets, but he's pretty sure he has been able to avoid this thickness of pure filth until now.
He gags a couple of times at the sound made when he and Aurie are pulled out of the sludge, but maintains his fortitude for the most part.
"I hope the rest of this place smells better. Let us head on to the door and see if we can have a word with Natalya."

You head to the door, Aurie in the lead. She opens the door and finds that, no, the first room was not the only one with the sewage problem. The floor of this room has fallen away, leaving a narrow, charred ledge along the south and east walls. In the center of the room about 10' below floor level is yet another toxic mixture of sewage. To the northwest, a ledge heaped with crates and barrels sits, while above the rafters of the attic lay bare to view.
You hear goblins speaking in a whisper among the crates.

Aurie moves in, sees the door and motions towards it for the benefit of the party, she then steps through the door and steps to her left, to give Shatee easy access to the door without having to squeeze past her.

Shathee follows Aurie in, though is cautious because he knows two of the previous goblins escaped from the previous room. He keeps his bow out as he scans along the walls and is grateful no pipes lead directly into this room that he can see.

The little guy just manages to duck the thrust thanks to his cover. He begins to cock his crossbow. The other goblin who is behind the crates that Aurie can now see fires his heavy crossbow. Again, Aurie is grazed (dmg 2) by the flying bolt.

oy hold on now! Protective luck on Aurie forces attackers to reroll attack rolls and take the worse result for 1 round. Gobbo might've missed. I wouldn't nag but it's like the only thing I've got right now XD

Shathee takes off and moves precariously along the eastern edge of the room, his light, nimble steps keeping him up as he takes a small hop on to the crate beside the goblin and stabs down with his Qadiran thief's blade and stabs down into the goblin.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
Shortsword: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
10 ranks in acrobatics, so he's not falling in the muck again! Rolling acrobatics in case it is needed to get up on to the crate. Appears to be a way around the edge to that point (35' move speed).
Also, Shathee's AC is 2 higher against non-magical ranged attacks due to Breeze-Kissed racial trait.

Luck is not with Aurie and the bolt still cuts her though perhaps it was the luck that kept it from plunging deep into her breast. Shathee gets an excellent position removing the goblins' cover but still the wily critter manages to avoid his thrust.

Molasbar joins them in the room. When he sees more goblins, he does not hesitate. He lobs another glob of acid across the room, trying to hit the little guy engaged with Aurie.
Acid splash, 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (4) + 3 - 4 = 3, damage 1d3 + 0 ⇒ (1) + 0 = 1
But out of an abundance of caution in trying to not hit Aurie, he fails to come close to the goblin either.
