The twin laser and the and the missiles impact on the Pilgrim's starboard shields. The particle laser barely misses.

In the Engineering phase
Great shots Kat! Mizix says as the gnome squints her eyes and focuses on the faint disruptions of entropy as the enemy craft cuts through space. Now let's see exactly what we're dealing with...
Scrying (Scan ship equivalent, but with Mysticism): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
Gunnz |
init: 1d20 + 21 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 21 + 1 + 3 = 45
Pilgrim moves first.
"Slow coaches!" mocks Gunnz as she fiddles around for some more music. "Time to Shut them down."
They get to move first. Lucky them.

If the check succeeds Kat5e can take a +4 bonus to one of his attacks this round.
Gunnz |
"Alright...Ready at the rear cap'in" calls out Gunnz, wiggling along in her seat to the sweet, sweet beat of SMC.
She corkscrews the Pegasus around in a disgustingly stomach churning set of corkscrew twists, ending up, perhaps a little too close, to the Pilgrim's rear end.
evade DC22: 1d20 + 21 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 21 + 1 = 26

The only thing the Pilgrim can shoot at you is a tactical nuclear missile from the turret.
gunnery: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22 damage: 5d8 ⇒ (1, 8, 6, 6, 1) = 22
Cavaler Traleth |
Cavaler's check succeeded so Kat5e can take a +4 bonus to one of his attack rolls this round.
Kat5e |
"Great job Gunnz! Firing a full barrage again!" Kat calls out with excitement in her voice.
Using another RP to broadside again while Mizix scans. Knowledge is firepower!

You've got another +3 from the ship's computer also. Maybe add it to your dual laser attack.
We have 3 missiles left in our launcher.
Kat5e |
Make it so, 21 to hit. Thanks for the tips everyone
phaeton_nz |
Kat5e fires a full barrage into the Pilgrim's rear shields. That shield goes down and it takes 44 points of Hull damage. That is not going to buff out easily.

Mizix |
Right on target Kat! Mizix yells from her seat. How are you looking? Need someone else to take over on the guns?
Gunnz |
pilot: 1d20 + 21 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 21 + 3 + 1 = 45 Gunnz smirks as the "whale" of a Gorgon tries to get around behind her nimble ... ahh.. behind.
"Gota do better than that boys." she smirks, while putting the Pegasus through what some might argue were an unnecessarily nausea educing series of evasive twists and turns.
Somehow she 'accidently' bumps up the volume on hernext track.
"I think the Pegasus is my Soul Mate." she gushes.
evade DC 22: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (12) + 21 = 33
Cavaler Traleth |
"Mr. Mizix, take over for Mr. Kat5e on gunnery. I need him to repair our shields. Lock all our weapon systems on their already damaged stern quadrant and fire."
Intimidation (Demand): 1d20 + 17 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 17 + (3) + 1 = 29
Mizix, can take a +4 bonus on one of his attack rolls this round.
How did we do so much damage to them? Don't they have 40 points in their stern shields and we only did 58 damage?
phaeton_nz |
Ooops ..... only 18 hull points. No CT
Kat5e |
"Aya aye, Captain. She's all yours Mizix."
Kat slides over to the engineering station and tries to divert power back to the shields.
DC22 Divert: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17
She does not. So many low rolls. The DC is almost double what the shield points would have been too.
Cavaler Traleth |
"I need her to repair our shields" Is what I meant to say.
phaeton_nz |

engineering: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (20) + 16 = 36
computers: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (18) + 18 = 36
piloting: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20
This lumbering ox of a starship seems to have picked up a bit of speed as it attempts to out maneuver the smaller, nimble, yappy terrier, trying to avoid the inevitable fly-by.
Mizix |
Okay Mizix takes a deep breath, holds it, then exhales. Let's try this then.
Spending RP for Broadside, using the Demand for the Particle Beam and the ship bonus for the twinlaser
PArticle Beam: 1d20 + 10 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 10 + 4 - 2 = 26 for damage: 8d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 5, 6, 3, 5, 5, 2) = 33

Twin Laser: 1d20 + 10 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 10 + 3 - 2 = 20 for damage: 5d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 3, 1, 3) = 19
phaeton_nz |
Presume that was Round 3 shooting - oopsie on my part.
All those hits go through the Pilgrim's downed aft shield and straight onto the hull. No way is that going to just be buffed out. (-73 HP). You nearly blow one of their engine bells off but most of it impacted on the turret. They get off a missile at you just before then, which impacts your forward arc.
CT2: 1d100 ⇒ 55
gunnery: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21 damage: 5d8 ⇒ (7, 1, 2, 3, 8) = 21
NOW it's Round 4
Kat5e |
"I need her to repair our shields" Is what I meant to say.
Gender is just a construct when you're a construct.
Kat bangs on the terminal in front of her a curses, trying to get the computer to respond to her commands.
DC22 divert to shields: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28
As the system responds she calls out to the crew. "More power to shields! It's not much but it should help"
5% of 250 should be 12 points?
Gunnz |
Gunnz continues to keep the Pegasus tight on the Gorgons tail.
pilot init: 1d20 + 21 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 21 + 1 + 3 = 42
"I can do this all day. Surely you are glad we are not in a Drake now..." she says, doing an almost gratuities barrel roll (just in case of incoming missiles, you understand).
evade DC22: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (17) + 21 = 38
Cavaler Traleth |
"Don't let up now Mr. Mizix," Cavaler says to the gnome.
Cavaler, auto succeeds at an encourage action to give Mizix a +2 bonus to whatever attack roll she chooses."
Mizix |
Hoping this is exciting enough footage.Mizix says as she keys up the firing algorithms again. Gunnz’s piloting so we’ll it almost seems like we’re just beating up on a toddler.
Ship bonus to particle beam, Captain +2 to twin laser, RP to Broadside
Particle Beam: 1d20 + 10 - 2 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 10 - 2 + 3 = 28 for damage: 8d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 4, 6, 1, 4, 4, 1) = 26
Missile Launcher: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 10 - 2 = 11 for damage: 4d8 ⇒ (2, 7, 3, 3) = 15
Twin laser: 1d20 + 10 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 10 - 2 + 2 = 11 for damage: 5d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 1, 5, 4) = 22
well, two of those shots are Mizix at least making it seem more fair :p
And one Missile left - though the same’s likely about to be said for their turret too
phaeton_nz |
They had managed, at some point, to regain some shields in the aft but Mizix is able to take them down. A bit more damage is applied to their stern.
They try shooting back.
gunnery: 1d20 + 13 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 13 - 2 = 16 damage: 5d8 ⇒ (3, 6, 5, 6, 5) = 25
-- Round 5 ---
engineering: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 16 = 18
computers: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (1) + 18 = 19
piloting: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (2) + 17 = 19
They try to put some distance between them and you - but not very well like as if they're a lame duck.
Gunnz |
"Looks like they have thrown in the towel. See if they want to surrender captain? Surely the cost of a blown apart space-craft is going to be more than even Zo! wants to foot for a segment this short."
pilot init, node, pegasus: 1d20 + 21 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 21 + 1 + 3 = 38
Even sticking to the tail, she continues to put the Pegasus through a set of dramatic acrobatics, if for no other reason than to show off for the TV audience.
evade DC 22: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (15) + 21 = 36
Several overhead lockers slam open in the perhap unnecessary stress-inducing turns, and... oh horror... anyone checking out the galley will note that someone left the cornflakes out. What A Mess.
Cavaler Traleth |
"Mr. Kat5e, assume command of the science officer's station and lock on all our weapons to their most damaged quadrant. Mr. Mizix, rake them again across their stern. Mr. Gunnz, clean up the cornflakes now on the floor of the galley after the battle is over... Engage!"
If Kat5e can succeed at a lock on action that will negate the -2 penalty to the broadside action. Cavaler, also grants Mizix another +2 bonus from his encourage action.
phaeton_nz |
Now you're nearly up their exhaust pipe again, they try shooting back in the hope they're going to do something to your front section.
gunnery: 1d20 + 13 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 13 - 2 = 14 damage: 5d8 ⇒ (5, 2, 8, 8, 5) = 28
No such luck by the looks of it.
And it might not just be the cornflakes. Wait until you open the refridgerator.
Mizix |
Eh, also feel free to hold onto your Resolve Kat. I think we've got them well enough.
Last missile away Mizix says as she does one final Broadside into the enemy's aft.
Ship bonus to the particle beam again, Encourage to the twin laser
Particle Beam: 1d20 + 10 - 2 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 10 - 2 + 3 = 14 for damage: 8d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 5, 2, 1, 4, 5, 4) = 29
Missile Launcher: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 10 - 2 = 16 for damage: 4d8 ⇒ (4, 4, 3, 7) = 18
Twin Laser: 1d20 + 10 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 10 - 2 + 2 = 18 for damage: 5d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 3, 1, 4) = 15
phaeton_nz |
At this point Wazasha comes on the comms.
Okay .. we got everything we need ... well mostly .. I was hoping you were going to do a flyby and strafe them with all guns blazing but ... she shrugs
You're authorised to disengage and return to Trillium. I'll be waiting for you there
She then turns to someone offscreen.
And SOMEBODY owes me 500 creds. Ooops!
Communications are quickly closed.
Gunnz |
"Well... we could do a final flyby... but last time I did one of those on purpose the captain said some very uncomplimentary things to me." notes Gunnz.
A smart re-reading of the battle logs would show that if Gunnz had not been quite fast enough Failed init roll then the Pegasus had been left in the position a number of times that she would have *unfortunately* been forced to do a flyby.
"Returning to the dome!"
Mizix |
Fantastic flying Mizix tells Gunnz.
Just hope they don't keep their disappointment in how it looked in mind when setting up the next match. she muses.
Gunnz |
"Hey, they got a good hit on us to begin with... and everyone likes a good dog-fight. Especially when it is the little dog that wins!"
phaeton_nz |
Shortly after landing, Wazasha appears in an urban cruiser, chiding you all to get in so they can continue with the final portion of their daily agenda. Wazasha quickly takes the crew and whisks them off to Zo!Dome. There is enough time to spend resolve to regain Stamina Points, but not for more involved actions.
Thunderous applause greets you as you enter the stadium’s combat arena.
Give it up for the STARFINDERS!
Well they whitewashed their opposition in the first half and in space but let's see how they go against the new opponents.
During the first match, they brought out a dinosaur. Well, let's see how they get on with ours. It wouldn’t be Live Adventure Extreme! if we didn’t have some dinosaurs. And what’s better than dinosaurs? Dinosaurs with lasers in their heads, of course! Sponsored by Ichihara Holdings, a cyborgasaur smorgasbord awaits our contestants today!
And sure enough, three large cybernetic enhanced dinosaurs enter the arena.

Green: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Green moves first, using it's jump jets to leap over obstacles, moving forty feet towards the group before firing with it's laser eye at 1d4 ⇒ 3 Kat5e.

First shot to the cybersaurs. Oooh .. that's gotta STING!
At the same time an array of motion sensors and associated lasers, spaced around the edge of the arena light up.
Cavalier and Gunnz are up.
Cavaler Traleth |
Cavaler, moves toward the cover of a nearby obstacle with his crossbolter in hand.
"Focus your attacks on the closest dino, Starfinders." Improved Get 'Em
Two armor piercing bolts leap from Cavaler's crossbolter at the closest dino as he pulls the trigger.

Everyone's next attack versus green benefits from a +2 bonus from Cavaler's Improved Get 'Em action.
Gunnz |
"Laser dinosaurs!! So DRITFT!" gushes Gunnz as she ducks and dives, sending a quick shot at the same dinosaur that Cavaleer aimed for.

phaeton_nz |
Both shots hit Green. (-32). It roars in rage. Now it's Red's turn to move up by doing a double move.
Kat5e and Mizix are up.
Mizix |
Well, that’s something new Mizix says as the robosaurs emerge. She winces as Kat is struck badly yet again that woman has the worst luck but advances closer towards the mech-lizards herself, using the arena’s crates as cover.
Double move, drawing pistol in hand during it. Think cover from crates from the movement should protect from a red AoO

Gunnz |
Realised my weapon spec damage had not been updated. That should be an extra +2 damage. Did the bleed work on the robo-saur?
Cavaler Traleth |
Get 'Em bonus this round is only +2 to the attack roll.
phaeton_nz |
It's still an animal so, yes
Green takes more damage (-56). Blue also double moves towards the Starfinders, while squeezing past some of the obstacles in the way.
A laser then fires attempting to hit Kat5e in the butt
laser: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19 fire: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 6) = 13
And that's what you get if you stay in one place ... a laser to the butt
Well, I guess it's better than a laser to the face. Say... did anyone actually tell the Starfinders about that?
Green charges down the arena and fires at the one that hurt it the most - Gunnz
laser eye: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17 fire: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 6) + 6 = 18
Well that was nearly a laser to the face but, fly-girl dodged it with ease
Cavaler and Gunnz are up.
Gunnz |
"That's fly-grrrlll" retorts Gunnz to the commentary team, hoping they understand the distinction.
She ducks and dives, trying to hide behind the various crates to give her shots an unexpected angle.
This time she pegs the purple dino with her laser as she darts around the arena.

phaeton_nz |
Believe it or not, that just barely hits (Blue: -27)
Cavaler Traleth |
Cavaler, moves behind the obstacle he was next to and crouches down behind it. Taking a hand off his crossbolter, he removes a spell gem from a small pouch attached to his utility belt. Unleashing the mystical energy within, he propels the dino's mind he just shot green into the future causing it to suffer extreme fatigue.
Day's Weariness Damage: 4d8 ⇒ (2, 3, 4, 7) = 16 DC 17 will save for 1/2 damage and negate the fatigued condition.
Kat5e |
Kat spins around to locate the target that assaulted her with some visible anger and confusion. Alarms bells and warnings are flashing on her combat visual overlay. When she confirms that there are no additional targets she moves to cover before firing again.

Kat5e blasts Green for more damage (-72)
Mizix is up followed by Green and Blue.
Mizix |
Mizix lightly flinches as the dino's laser strikes her. Surprised as it moves away rather than advancing, the gnome sighs and instead adjusts to focus on the more injured beast. Green She tries to roll towards it before punching out at the mechanized lizard.

Though at least the rest of your Ranged attacks against Green get +1 (Coordinated Shot) while she's next to it
phaeton_nz |
That misses, maybe because of the AOO ((from which one?))
Green tries to Bite the gnome next to it.
bite: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (8) + 16 = 24 slashing: 2d6 + 13 ⇒ (4, 6) + 13 = 23
Blue moves closer to Cavaler and goes to Bite as well.
