FWIW, you can use those bad rolls to substitute for an attack roll by an enemy. You can declare in advance under what conditions you'd use it (i.e. GM rolls a crit, etc), or save it and I'll retcon as needed.

@Azzirm: No, you have no action or movement restrictions. The data transfer appears to have happened instantaneously. The scenario doesn’t explain it, but also does not specify any restrictions on the person using Remote Hack (which, BTW it did mention and account for.)
@Back’Up: Status spell has a Target of “up to one living creature touched per 3 levels.” Which 3 of your comrades did you cast it on?

There's a typo in the Scenario that someone called out on the GM Discussion thread, but which was never answered. So I'm ruling in the Player's favor on it. But that means I made a small mistake last round. To correct that without retconning, Guidance will only take a single action this round.
In the Tactics section it says that the Ilyastre form "uses its move action to keep foes off-target."
In the Ilyastre section of Guidance's Special Abilities, it says that the taunt is a swift action.
Ruling that the taunt is a move action means she took two move actions and a standard action last round. So only one action this round is fair.
Post coming soon. But it's long and as you can guess complicated.

It feels a bit cheesy to just pour magical missiles into Guidance, but against an incorporeal foe who would take half damage from everything, even before a saving throw... I can't think of a better strategy.
I could drop some acid fog type stuff and try to also catch the hardlights, but my gut is telling me we need the main guidance gone and the rest is just distractions.
Thoughts?

If it seemed like this was going to be an easy fight, I would say use some panache but it seems like the kind of thing where the longer it goes the worse it gets.
Most efficient is best in this case.

BTW, I'm away for the weekend, so please bot me as required.

I also am away for this weekend (starting in about 12 hours from this post). I might be able to check, but likely not to post much. Sorry...apparently my sister is wanting me to come up and teach her, her best friend and his wife how to play Pathfinder 2e....so running Fistful of Flowers after getting to Wisconsin to see them.
Only bad thing...I have to get through the Chicago Insanity that is their traffic on their interstates...oh well...

Nothing original from me in this fight. After all, Carlos's spells are very much about "getting into the head", and as we can see, the hologram actually has no head...

Don't forget that you have those D20's that you prerolled from your encounter with Uko
Details in the spoiler in this link
And I keep forgetting to have Back'Up's Blue opponent use the curse-virus on him. Next time he hits, I promise Back'Up will get the same little gift that Azara got....

There's no mechanical effect to the diatribe in the gameplay post. I'm just having fun with your existing relationship to Datch and with the roleplay prompts I gave you in Discussion.
Speaking of which, I still need Azara's deets for the chronicle:
Player Name:
Character Name: Azara Thenason
Character Level:
SFS Number:
Faction:
A little behind the curtain peek. The shifts between forms occur when Guidance reaches a certain damage threshold, even if she then heals back above that point with the Transitional Healing.

Really wish we'd had an uplifted bear on this team, just so I could stick my Chewbacca joke at the end on them.
I'll post chronicles here tomorrow.
I'm running #4-09 Through Storm and Sea for Outpost, so if you want to get in on that, sign ups for Outpost GM's are open now, and for those not GMing it opens on the 10th.
Link to my Recruitment thread.
I think the last Datch scenario other than the Special is Cornered Rat. When Outpost is over, I'll offer to run that one for this group.

![]() |

I will skip Through Storm and Sea, as I played it with my vanguard. Although I'd gladly join Cornered Rat if opportunity occur!
I am gonna GM only one PFS-1 scenario during Outpost 6, but likely to join couple games as a player.
So, see ya!
I enjoyed company and team narrative and coordination!

![]() |

I haven't played either so I'll sign up for both!
Although, I'm not GMing anything in the upcoming Outpost so I'll have to wait a bit to sign up.

![]() |

Wow, that final battle was pretty complex. Glad I wasn't the one running it!
Going to sign up to storm and sea with Gunnz who also just finished a scenario.

Reporting completed, including the new Lodge form.
@Azara: When I tried to report, your number didn't auto-populate with Azara's name and faction. Don't know if you knew that, but thought to tell you in case you have sessions missing or the wrong faction.
As to the last battle, if Guidance had made her save vs the Slow spell, it would have been a completely different fight. The Datches would have moved incorporeally and attacked, ganging up on one or two PCs. Plus of course, the Roheas could have moved and cast instead of just staying put to cast. And fortunately, the tactics for the holo-mooks (who had 135 hp each, BTW) were to single out targets that were separate from other PCs, so that kept those 3 from ganging up on one guy. Yeah, lots of moving parts in that fight.
You guys skipped the fight against the Starfinders in the burning forest by making your skill checks, so that sped things up a bit. I also skipped the optional encounter which was a trap set by Datch. It deals a lot of damage, even on a successful skill check or save, and the whole purpose is to reveal to you that Datch is behind all of it which you already knew.
Looking forward to seeing you folks either in Sea and Storm (which someone already gave me a hint on how to run more dangerously cause he thought this last fight was too easy - jk) or later in Cornered Rat. Thanks for a fun game.

day job: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
Thanks very much for the game everyone.

![]() |

Thank you very much! Once again, a ton of fun from your game, GM Nomadical! And thanks to all the players, you and your characters are just super!

![]() |

It's because I had buyer's remorse over making so many PF1 characters and I asked customer support to change the last 2 I made to Starfinder characters. So, they did but they still have PF1 numbers. The system thinks Azara is my #14 PF1 character but he's really my #2 Starfinder character, even though I have a different 702.

![]() |

Oh.....I think Zir has unlocked his last replay from Ehu.....so I might just jump into the Cornered Rat! There are so few upper level scenarios...and so very few fun ones with good story.

I think I'm just going to keep running high level SF stuff. As you say, there's not enough of it to begin with, and almost no one runs it. I can always hold the chronicle for a character who's not there yet if I have to.
If you're not in Sea&Storm, I'll ping you via either Paizo PM or Discord when I'm ready to start Cornered Rat.
I'll mark this thread inactive this weekend.
