I know many of you have played PbP before, but for anyone that hasn't, here are some forum PbP norms:
Regular text is for narration.
"Bold text is for something your character says out loud" he said. "You can create bold text by putting the letter b in square brackets at the front of the text, and /b in square brackets after the text."
Italic text is for something your character is thinking but not saying. It's done by using the letter i in square brackets at the beginning and /i in square brackets at the end.
Blue text is out-of-character commentary. It's done by putting ooc in square brackets at the beginning, and /ooc in square brackets at the end. In the Gameplay tab, this should be limited to a sentence or two, usually to give the GM context or contingencies for your turn. Extensive OOC convo should usually go here in the Discussion tab.
Nested Spoilers:
Dice are rolled using the dice=<roll label> tag in square brackets preceding the dice expression, and the /dice tag after it.
called laser pistol, Get 'Em!: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 9 + 1 = 20
Bigger text is done using the bigger and /bigger tags.
Smaller text is done using smaller and /smaller.
You can link to something, such as a specific feat or weapon on Archives of Nethys, using the tag url=<url> before the text and /url after.
You can strike something out with the s and /s tags.
You can even strike out text within a roll, useful when using a re-roll ability or some such. This works with italics as well.
Disable the trap: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Disable the trap (re-roll): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12

I need to complete the update for this character but at least she has arrived.

LunarSloth - PbP Pregen |

I'm all set up! I'll be playing Obozaya for this game since the interest sheet showed as otherwise caster-heavy! Where should I note that I'm applying my chronicle to a level 1?

![]() |

We'll get moving here as soon as everyone is ready and signed in.

![]() |

My access to the internet will be spotty at best for the next 48 hours. I will try to check in at least once or twice a day, but don't hesitate to keep moving without me.
I think it unlikely this early, but feel free to bot as needed. Be aware, the botting instructions have not yet been updated (numerically) so please use the information in the full sheet.

Got it, no worries. Thanks for the heads up.

Any thoughts as to a patrol pattern? Pious would likely start wanting to patrol back and forth across the center corridor, stopping to observe distantly when someone gets transferred.

LunarSloth - PbP Pregen |

Pairs down corridors does sound like a good plan. We may want to pair up perceptive PCs with non-perceptive ones?

![]() |

You have 5 PCs, and three possible corridors: left, center, and right. I'd like someone to please propose which PCs are going to be in which corridors. For reference, here are the PCs and Perception bonuses:
Sharmain: +18
Obozaya: +0
Ishkitik: +13
Axtin: +1
Pious: +13

Let's pair up Sharmain and Obo, then Axtin and Pious, then Ishkitik. Sharmain and Obo can on the left, Ishkitik in the center, then Axtin and Pious on the right. It'll allow us to cover everything, balance out good perceptions, and provide backup in case something happens.
Thoughts?

LunarSloth - PbP Pregen |

That was my exact decision-making process, and then being in the center so both pairs can get to you easier!

Sounds like a good plan. I'll get us moved on tomorrow.

![]() |

Sorry my absence was longer than expected.

![]() |

Axtin would choose to render air to the copaxi. If we'd want to split up, some going after the foodsteps, that would be fine by me, perhaps something Axtin would even suggest in game.

LunarSloth - PbP Pregen |

To confirm, it sounds like our choices are to aid the copaxi or follow after these footsteps? Is splitting up an option?
Care for the prisoners is pretty high up on my priority list. Splitting up sounds like a potential option. My opinion is that we should take care of the copaxi first, then follow the footsteps second.

![]() |

Splitting up is an option. You're all veteran players and understand the pros and cons of that sort of tactic. I'll even tell you that the scenario provides some GM guidance on what to do in that case. I'll also remind you that you have a schematic of the cell block on slide 7 if you would like to gauge the relative size and geometry of the area the escapees are running toward.
If you decide to go that route, I would like to know who is stopping to help the injured copaxi and who is chasing after the footsteps.

![]() |

Just confirming, do the footsteps sound like they're fleeing north from us to the entrance or west from us to the guard station and the suspiciously-labelled Laundry Chute?

LunarSloth - PbP Pregen |

The laundry hatch is pretty far away, when we look at the map, so I'm not sure if we'll be able to provide back-up if either situation goes awry. Both of these tasks are pretty compelling, so I am having a hard time committing to just one.

You are currently at the north end of the block. The footsteps are fleeing away from you, which you can assume is toward the southwest and the guard station/laundry chute.

![]() |

Im willing to take the risk of splitting up. Perhaps 2 people should stay behind? Those with the highest medicine? So one can make the check and the other assist. I have medicine but its mediocre.

![]() |

I am decent at medicine (+12) but had already committed to pursuing, if there were other folk that wanted to do the healing. If we don't have other options, Pious is swayable and could come help heal, but it seems like we may need some Athletics first to get rubble out of the way.

![]() |

Sharmain would willingly stay to help the injured unless called by her team mates to be part of the pursuit. Definitely a dilemma as she also doesn't want to let a bunch of violent criminals cause more injury and havoc.

![]() |

Sounds like Ashtin and Ishkitik render aid and the rest of us chase down escapees?

![]() |

I'll go with that tonight or tomorrow unless I hear otherwise. I also need to know who is carrying the keycard you were given.

![]() |

Great, so I have:
Chasing:
Staying to help:
I'll move us forward with that this evening.

![]() |

Trying to get a sense of how far separated the two groups currently are.
I hesitate to put too much distance between us.
Also, are our comms still working?

![]() |

Your comms work. The aid group is in the main cell block still, and the chase group is at the far end of a 100-ft long hallway.
