Sharmain |
There are no good options!, Sharmain thinks to herself, frustrated and scared for her teammates and the consequences of failure.
Well, here goes... The lashunta mystic utilizes her jumpjets to pop over the baggage carts where she can safely focus on the dwarf operative, once again channeling the power of the stars and asking Desna for guidance. Three bright shooting stars rocket toward their main foe.

Hey, Tok made a Reflex save! She is at 32 hp.
Ishkitok once again moves to flank with Obozaya.
Ishkitok storm doshko, vs flanked: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 10 + 2 = 16

ouch!: 1d6 + 3 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 3 + (6) = 13
GM Dennis |
Even with Obozaya providing a distraction, Ishkitok is not quite able to connect with her doshko. Ishkitik has more success, however, as her shot catches the robot direct-on, doing significant damage.
Following Whitforge's lead, the remaining robot swivels and strikes twice at Pious.
slam vs. Pious, full attack: 1d20 + 15 - 4 ⇒ (6) + 15 - 4 = 17
Bludgeoning damage: 1d6 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
slam vs. Pious, full attack: 1d20 + 15 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 15 - 4 = 13
Bludgeoning damage: 1d6 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
The damage done by Ishkitik's blast, however, seems to be taking its toll on the robot's systems as it misses badly, both times.

The android mystic staggers a little woozily under the damage he's taken. He moves out of the way of the robot and tries to line up a shot at Whitforge.

GM Dennis |
Pious, reeling, steps away from the robot. The pain of his wounds doesn't seem to affect his aim, however, as he lands a perfect shot on Whitforge, drawing a gasp of pain from the treacherous dwarf! Allowing a rare glimpse of emotion to break through her professional demeaner, she snarls "You'll pay for that!" at the android as she tumbles forward and comes up firing at Pious once again.

"Well, that ain't good," Obo says at Pious falls unconscious.
She's tempted to run after Whitforge, but her battle-hardened instincts know to focus on the robot in front of her. With a deep breath, she lets her muscle memory take over.

Assuming that it goes down... which I hope it does!
Obo lets the magic take over she ducks behind the baggage cart. It feels like cowardice, but she can't survive another hit from the operative.
Axtin |
"Yeah! You better fall to pieces! Go get them!
Get em on and attack on robot 1 if Obozaya dindt get them down. Otherwise on whitforge and Axtin will switch to nonlethal

Obozaya slams her doshko into the final robot hard, and again, getting sprayed by acid once again!
Acid damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 DC 13 Reflex for half
The machine's casing cracks and sparks fly, but the stubborn robot stays standing. It's frustrating survival is short lived, however, as Axtin's blast hits the robot's now-exposed circuitry, destroying it!
Robot is down, so Pious is up again now too (I'll assume he spends Resolve to not die unless someone heals him first).

Whitforge easily dodges Ishkitok's doshko, but Ishkitik times her shot well, guess correctly which way Whitforge would weave. Tok missed, Tik hit!

Obozaya leaps over the baggage carts to get to Whitforge, finally ready to cause some pain. I can get next to her and have 10 feet of movement left, not counting any difficult terrain for moving through the baggage carts. Given my +13 Athletics and +14 Acrobatics, I'm assuming I'm good to do that! Let me know if this isn't the case, so that I can change plans.
"You can't keep hurting people," Obozaya growls at Whitforge, panting slightly.

Obozaya, wounded, worn out, and at her wit's end, throws caution to the wind and vaults over the barricade in front of her. She charges at Whitforge, swinging her doshko in a powerful arc that lifts the treacherous dwarf off her feet and hurls her body skidding to a stop several feet away. Almost before she hits the ground, her body begins to confulse for a moment, then lies still but for a fine white foam that dribbles down one cheek. Out of combat! Whitforge is dead, seemingly to some safeguard that ensured she would be so rather than allow you to question her; you saw similar with the assassins in the cell block.
As you catch your breath, a team of Stewards arrive as backup and to secure the scene. A thorough sweep of both the shop and Whitforge's person yields no additional information about her or her employers. Even scans of her fingerprints and genetic material reveal no additional information about her true identity, leaving her origin a mystery.

Arriving back at the Lorespire Complex, you find that the final prisoner transfers have been completed. First Seeker Hadif thanks you for your hard work, apologizing that what was supposed to be simple guard duty ended up being such a harrowing experience. He assures you that while Datch and the false Steward are currently at large, the search for them is far from over. Ixthia urges you to find solace in the fact that Whitforge's defeat has dealt a blow to her allies, and in the fact that you saved the lives of any other prisoners that the assassins were targeting.
Once the final details are attended to, First Seeker Ehu declares the Adamantine Bastille officially closed. He asks you to think on what you would have the space become, and to share your thoughts with him at a future time (or in our case, the past when they ran a survey about it).
That's the end, you made it! I'll get chronicles sorted and distributed through Discord. Thanks for playing, everyone! Feel free to roll your day jobs here; those are entirely the domain of the players these days, but if you'd like me to digitally add your results to your chronicle, let me know and I'm happy to do so.
