"Not a good idea considering that we will be in combat right away."
Alie offered and has tons of lower level slots that she will never realistically use in a day anyways. The ability of spontaneous casters to fill higher level spell slots with lower level spells is often under used in the game and allows a high level caster to cast a virtually unlimited number of Fly and Haste spells throughout the day if they are so inclined. :)

Zaarah flies down first, seeing…
…a natural cavern opens up here, its ceiling stretching to a height of over fifty feet. A wide circular hole occupies the center of the ceiling, surrounded by a ring of fanglike stalactites. Two shorter, narrower passages lead away from the cavern to the northwest and southwest, and a fifteen-foot-tall shelf lies on the eastern wall.

As the creature grabs her with its ghastly tentacle, the talisman around Agata's neck crumbles to dust.
Agata's second (and last, sadly) lesser talisman of freedom automatically triggers when she is grappled, giving her freedom of movement for 3 rounds. Since the creatures will automatically fail to maintain their grapple on their turns she won't bother using her standard action to escape, but will instead use a hex (which won't require a concentration check as a spell would).
Agata sticks out her tongue at both Red (I assume Blue is out of view, but if that's incorrect, choose Blue instead of Red, who doesn't appear to be long for the world) and Green, wishing each of them the very worst of luck.
Misfortune Hex (target must roll every d20 twice and take the worse result for the duration - 3 rounds). Using Split Hex to affect two targets (Red & Green) and Amplified Hex to boost the DC by 1 (expending a level 1 spell - Remove Sickness). DC 29+1=30 Will save negates.
Then Agata laughs malevolently. Cackle hex as a move action to extend the duration to 4 rounds.
Agata is still grappled but any attempt to maintain the grapple should auto-fail.

Wand of Cure Light Wounds: 16d8 + 16 ⇒ (8, 1, 8, 8, 7, 3, 2, 4, 6, 1, 1, 1, 5, 1, 3, 6) + 16 = 81 ---> 4 charges left
"Huh... is that smoke rising from my wand Agata? it must be near its end... now, this here is my backup stick... it packs a bigger punch than the standard issue healing stick but it has only 10 charges on it the merchant said. When I do go unconscious, have Sweet Mawd reach for it will you? I have also two potions that pack a slightly bigger wallop as well, and about nine other standard issue weak-sauce potions. There, I put the two better potions at my belt in case one of you need to reach for it... the weak ones will be at the top of my backpack."
Theodric gives a few additional mundane details about the rest of his gear, including two scrolls of remove disease in a scroll case at his belt; he seems practiced in having such contingencies at the ready, for some reason...
Yes, Joyeux Noël everyone, and Happy New Year if some of you go on vacation and cannot post until 2023! :)

Flint draws another dozen arrows from his Handy Haversack replenishing his supply.
The fighter's sword play is clearly impressive but his defence could use a little shoring up.
"Not to worry Theodric. I promise I will not let you fall over in the heat of combat if I can help it and between Marta, Agata and myself we should be able to keep you together more or less even if you do go through your own healing wands and potions."

Most of you heal up as best you can…feeling refreshed from your fight, you press on…
Which way? North or south?

Zaarah (-1)
Strongly Chaos-Aligned and Evil-Aligned: Nonevil or nonchaotic creatures take a –2 circumstance penalty on all Intelligence-, Wisdom-, and Charisma-based checks in the Moonscar. This penalty stacks with itself for creatures that fall into both categories (-4).
Impeded Magic: To cast a spell or use a spell-like ability with the good or lawful descriptor, a caster must make a concentration check (DC 20 + the level of the spell).

Zaarah moves forward slowly.
"Now let us see what awaits us!!" she says with a sly smile and starts moving into the tunnel.
perception: 1d20 + 26 - 4 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 26 - 4 + 2 = 44

Since you asked, we are headed up the north tunnel since that is the way the icons are aligned.

You move north and discover a chamber…
Two doorways open into a huge cylindrical chamber. Above rises an arched ceiling, while runes are etched into the lunar glass floor below. A set of porphyry steps carved with obscene acts spirals along the inner wall of the room, granting access to the northern egress and the floor below. Books fill every inch of the walls from floor to ceiling.
The southern doorway leading toward not connected to the spiral stair, and stands 20 feet above the flight passing beneath it. The bookshelves, however, appear easy to scale…

"Up or down? Down would probably be the most dangerous."
Is that a hopeful sound in her voice?

Agata uses 1 charge of her wand of Infernal Healing to heal herself and then realizes that she has used it and turns to her other wand.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Fully healed
Re the concerns about whether we have enough healing in the party, Agata has four castings of Heal prepared, though she hasn't needed to use any so far (not to jinx us!).
Gazing down the spiral stairs, Agata laughs to herself and mutters, "Hold yer horses, hold 'em up, I sez!" Then she sets to gesturing and mumbling incantations for what seems to be quite some time.
Casting Heroic Invocation on anyone who would like it. Casting time is 10 minutes. Duration will be 170 minutes. Everyone who participates gets +4 morale to attacks and dmg (won't stack with Heroism), 2d8+4 temp hp, and is immune to charm/fear effects for the duration. When the spell ends everyone will be fatigued (and presumably if we haven't finished the adventure at that point we can rest in the Fairy Ring again).
Temp hp for Agata: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (2, 8) + 4 = 14
Temp hp for Sweet Mawd: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (8, 3) + 4 = 15

That is a nice spell even for 9th level. The immunity to charm is really, really good here and +4 morale bonus to hit and damage is Good Hope on steriods! The temporary hit points from this spell should stack nicely with False Life which is good news for the arcane casters in the group. :)
Flint gratefully accepts the witch's blessing.
Temp HP: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (5, 6) + 4 = 15
As soon as Agata completes her spell Flint casts a protective spell on Theodric. He then adjusts his equipment so that his trusty bow is again in hand.
Clay Skin, Extended for 3 hours. DR 5/Admanantine (stops up to 45 hit points of damage).
"This should help to keep you on your feet."

"Thanks Flint and Agata! indeed this should be very effective: many thanks!"

Naturally, Marta accepts. Besides, fatigued can be overcome by Lesser Restoration.
Temp HP: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (6, 4) + 4 = 14
Once they start moving again, she refreshes her shield of faith.
