29 dmg to Agata, 20 of which are absorbed by her temp hp from False Life. She uses one charge of a wand of infernal healing to heal the remaining damage.
| Sweet Mawd |
GM, Sweet Mawd has SR 22, which I believe would apply to the wilting spell.
Fort DC 20: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21

Flint nods back at Marta.
"I appreciate the sentiment but it was fortunate that I was its target. A few scratches and a nasty bite already healed is really not all that bad. If someone else was down here it could have been worse."
Thankfully this creature did not target a squishy. The fact that Flint lost initiative really made all the difference and I can tell you that this is a rare occurrence. :)

@GM Otha - Was there anything of interest on the monster? I am not expecting anything but it always best to check. If not then feel free to move the game forward. Zaarah and Alie can include their heals (if any) in their next post.
Flint waits a few moments for others to heal up before setting off on foot again around the lake.

Flint swaps his magical jewellery once again and prepares to go on foot with Marta while the others take to the sky.
The monk steers the duo a littler further away from the small lake and carefully applies a jar of alchemical grease to his outfit. He is hopeful that he will be as slippery as a seal and this will help to prevent any monsters from attempting to eat him as a mid-day snack.
@GM Otha- This is the plan. Inquisitors also benefit from being near their teammates. Flint's coordinated defence teamwork feat would have foiled all of the monster's grapple attacks (even flatfooted!). :)

"I am concerned that the path ends soon. I can certainly lead you through the jungle but I feel that the path should lead to their encampment. @Alie/Zaarah/GM Otha - Rounding down rules apply so Alie only takes 46 points of damage here and is sickened for 3 rounds. Sorry, oversight on my part Agata; like Flint said 10’ tall with 10’ reach, but still slightly more than 20’ via diagonal…I’ll say he moved 10’ and single attacked, catching/grabbing you using his first claw attack. While you’ll still be grappled, you only took 14 damage; I’ll adjust the damage on my next post…
Agata

Thanks GM. And any results for the SR checks vs Sweet Mawd? It will affect whether she casts haste on the party or goes and hides in Agata's hair.

Hold on to your scroll for now. Between myself and Theodric the two remaining monsters might already be down or nearly down. Our two posts are just above GM Otha's last post. :)
Zaarah Katsu
|
Zaarah moves nearer to the creature in red but still beyond its reach and slumber hexes it.
Slumber dc 25 will save or asleep 15 rounds.
“Wow! This thing is ugly. Sleep well!!“
Agata
|
The bone floating in front of Agata absorbs a bit of the damage from the claw (DR 5/Bludgeoning) and as soon as the creature grabs ahold of her, one of the talismans around her bony neck crumbles to dust as it infuses her with magic. (Lesser Talisman of Freedom gives her Freedom of Movement for 3 rounds)
Agata quickly slips out of the hands of the monster and flies higher to evade its reach.
Contrary to common opinion, Freedom of Movement doesn't automatically free you from a grapple; it just means you auto-succeed at attempts to Escape (and foes auto-fail at attempts to maintain or begin a grapple). Which means that Agata still has to use her standard action to escape and then a move action to fly out of range.
Acrobatics to avoid an AoO as she flies away: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (15) + 22 = 37
Agata still has a swift action available which she could use for a quickened spell but she'll wait to see if the creatures are still a threat before spending the spell.
| Sweet Mawd |
Before Agata moves away, her faithful maidservant ducks into her hair to avoid any further harm.
Using Merge with Familiar (cast at the start of the day) for Sweet Mawd to merge into Agata.
