So, my 1st time playing on the forums.

I can manage most of the basic HTML codes, but I don't know how to set up a die roll.

Could someone show me the basics, for, let's say, a Mysticism check? Grump's modifier is +17.

So, seems I found it.

Mysticism: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (18) + 17 = 35

How high are ceilings in this building? When I start fooling around with Gravity Boost, this data point often becomes very relevant! :)

Hey - I realize that you gave me/Grump plenty of chances to change his action away from the Mind Thrust.
Based on the info he had, should he have known that it wouldn't work?
If so, why?

Are there some different rules for damaging this swarm? I'm a little surprised how much damage Benoit and TEC-9 are doing. I was under the impression that line weapons did normal damage and since it is vulnerable to electricity Benoit's gun would do normal damage plus 50%. Also, swarms aren't affected by critical hits.

Eh almost all undead are immune to mind affecting AFAIK but technically you didn't ask for immunities. It's one of those cases where if you had previously had mind affecting fail on an undead I wouldn't consider it terribly metagamey, but if he doesn't have any kind of prior experience with it then he would have no reason to suspect.

I should have rechecked the rules on swarms. My PF1 is showing. Area affects incluing lines do +50% and I was stacking the weakness on top of that.

Line just does normal damage to swarms. Grenade, blast, and explode weapons do +50%. It's confusing since the rules for PF 1, PF 2, and Starfinder are all different.

I only play Starfinder so it's easy for me to remember.

Yeah i noticed they call lines out differently in SF. I'll likely just treat next rounds damage as normal to compensate rather than recalculate. I'm pretty sure that as long as the hits keep coming the stone swarm will go down at about the same pace as it would have if i recalculated the damage.

If that's the case profession astronomer: 1d20 + 18 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 18 + 4 + 1 = 43
