Hey guys, sorry for not getting a thread together earlier! Works been busier than normal but starting to settle down.
First, I think everyone checked into the RPG Chronicles for this, but just in case I missed someone, the link is here.
Second, I'll be using Google Slides for the maps. The slides can be found here and in the header. Please add a token and character information on Slide 2 and preferred marching order on Slide 3.
This is an old scenario so it has individual faction missions, we won't be using them, but if anyone wants I can give you the appropriate faction briefing for roleplaying purposes. You can indicate your choice on Slide 2 with your character information.
Third, The gameplay thread is up, feel free to get a post in there!
Fourth, when you are done with the first three things, please post something here to let me know you're ready!
I'm looking forward to this game, it looks like a lot of fun (though there are definitely going to be some early scenario idiosyncrasies to work around.)

GM Sedoriku |

I... actually don't know. Sadly as much as I have an avid interest in Tian settings I'm not very good at knowing any details (doesn't help it's tidbits strewn across settings.) I'm okay with setting this at any time you'd like. The scenario pretty timeline agnostic (assuming it's still within the times Ambrus was at the Grand Lodge.)
Also I just realized I forgot to update the player slides to get people's perception, Init and etc modifiers and will be updating them in just a moment. If you get the chance please update your info on them!

I think Muy Tath is asking if the factions at this time were the original Andoran, Cheliax, Taldor, etc. vs the later incarnations of Liberty's Edge, Dark Archive, Sovereign Court, etc.

GM Sedoriku |

Ohh the factions? Yeah Nation based, solidly. The Lantern Lodge and Shadow, uh, Something were still factions you could take. However all of them (minus the few that didn't change) are illegal for players to choose now, but there are clear connections between the national factions and the ideals so you'd get the briefing flier for the appropriate faction (with Exchange getting to pick between Scarnzi and Qaidira.)

GM Sedoriku |

Even with some hedge clippers to the unnecessary info, this scenario has a wall of text for a briefing intro.
Also, I'm really hoping to keep a faster pace with this game, I'm going to have to slow down once Paizocon starts and I GM another 2 games of PbP so I hope to get finished or near finishing by then. I'll be stricter about bottling if that works for everyone.

GM Sedoriku |

So the second half of this scenario is a full blown dungeon crawl, an absolute blast for PbP! [/sarcasm]
Because there is quite alot of places down here (Area A is just 1 of 4) I'm hoping we can get a Standard Operating Procedure together to speed up the delve and not waste time on empty rooms/deciding where to next.
So would you like to explore rooms on the right or left of the map first? And would you like to explore all rooms in one area before moving onto the next or leave them for later?

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

A bit hard to say. I would generally say go from left to right, but on a corridor like this, I would explore both side rooms before the one at the end of the hall. Now if those rooms go off to other rooms, it becomes complex.
Generally, I think completing areas is the best way to go for everyone.

Can we all look at a door for traps etc.
Can you roll perception for all of us GM?

GM Sedoriku |

Yup! I can do that no problem. I did roll for the trap door and the trap on it but the DC was 20 to find the door but 25 to see the trap and no one rolled high enough for it.

GM Sedoriku |

Left to right focusing on finishing areas works for me, seems there was a second approving opinion from Golthwur too. I'll go with that unless someone has an objection.

Totally understand! ;-)
Eltran is methodical and will take 20 search everything AFTER we’ve cleared the dungeon and also take all valuables like the costumes etc.

GM Sedoriku |

Perfect, this scenario is very much 'If the PCs take Xyz give them xx gold' but is effectively pillaging the place.
Also this flame trap was a DC 30 to find. Oof.

GM Sedoriku |

I think the sorceror needs to move on the map, because as of right now, he doesn't have line of sight on me.
Right, I forgot to check the map when updating. He had the movement for it still.

I think that Golthwur is not adding inspire to hit / damage bonuses?

GM Sedoriku |

He has, but he's been hitting without them and I've been adding it to his damage as well. I just forgot give a damage tally on either enemy still standing last update.

"A wizard never forgets!"
"Nor does he reminisce."
"He recollects precisely what he happens to be thinking."

Ha ha!! :-D

GM Sedoriku |

My cat passed away today. I'm sorry for not updating for a few days and I won't be posting an update today, but I'll try being back by Monday (Japan time.)

I’m very sorry!! Please take all the time you need!! :-(
