Drystan you see a light come from above, though there is no bulb, the beam of light seemed to just penetrate the roof as if it wasn't there. A wreath of fire forms around your body for a few moments and you feel the security of having your divine patron's power.

"Ok, I will see if I spot anyone and meet you back at the tavern." Jean takes to the air again as he enjoys the freedom of flight. As he goes he looks for more Chosen.

So in the initial post there was also a quest to find a rose. If I saw that on my blue screen I would be looking for a rose bush too as I flew around.

"I think it might be a good idea to do a quest check before sleep every night."
The satyr checks his pockets, which now feel heavier and notice the lodestone, instantly knowing the curse upon him. "Aw. Damn it."

Well, hell. Time to head back and gather the party. Hopefully the tutorial boss wouldn't show up until after they left, but having everyone in one place would make any fights easier.

Jonathan looked around at the assorted Chosen. "Well, this is kinda funky. Should we do an introduction or something? I know I have some inherent understanding of what I can do, but I dunno much about you folks."

He raised his hands. "Hi, I'm Jon. Giant but not shaman. I can generate smoke when I fight, get super lucky and I have some magic. Also, I know a lot. Like stupid amounts. And I'm pretty sure I can hurl a boulder the size of a small sedan at people in a pinch. Back in the old world I was a archaeologist, so now I'm one too, but with powers."

Jacen lands with Sam outside the Tavern, and goes to try to read the new quest, but then remembers it doesn't take that much effort.

"So the Chosen of this Quest have already arrived, or the Quest wouldn't say "in town" therefore, no sense staking out the arrival building, we're all here. At a minimum though, we should go to all the people we know, and ask them to send anyone new they meet to a central point, like the Tavern. So if Roland would retain them, and the clerics would send them, and anyone else could be told too, then Jean and I could fly ahead along the roads to see if anyone left town already, and try to bring them back. We could make that work in 9 hours!"

Stepping through the portal into the town known as New Beginnings, Davin's piercing blue eyes dart everywhere, taking in much. The huts and lean-tos, the houses and large buildings, the various townspeople.

Running his fingers through his now long hair, his gaze turns in full towards the temple. He felt a minor compulsion calling him, urging him to step inside. Once within, he greets the acolytes and cleric warmly. "Hi there! I felt compelled to come here, uh, I don't suppose there's a shrine to Hermes, is there? He was my patron deity back on Earth, and I get the feeling he's who called me here."

Davin is wearing a pair of jeans, blue New Balance sneakers, and his Scots eVest(basically a non magical vest of many pockets, lol). Underneath his jacket, currently unseen due it being zipped up, is a Firing Squad tshirt. Around his neck is a pair of LG wireless headphones, while over his right shoulder is his backpack, which has his laptop in it. He also has his cell phone and wallet in his pockets.

I am not sure when Sage might rejoin us. So I am going to leave him with the three quests that I think I am in on and ask him to meet us at Tavern if he finds anyone else.

Jean shares the search for the buckle and girl with Sage and then says, "I am going to go searching for the other two and see if there are any clues on the buckle. When you are ready head towards the tavern with anyone you find. Or the buckle if you find that. Bye!"

Jean will then take off and head back to the tavern to offer the group task to everyone and see if they had a lead on the buckle.


The pig is no longer in the fire. Mia is casually eating and listening to Roland talking about a grand tale. Sam sits on a stool behind the bar listening with wide eyes.

"Say, do you mean the archaeologist archetype for bards? I'm familiar with that build", the satyr smiled overjoyed. "We may have to find you a large-sized whip and an oversized brown fedora!"

"As for me, my name is now Zaidel, formerly Joe. I'm a satyr and a cleric of Cayden Cailean. So I have both fey abilities and cleric spells. And with my special power and faith in the Drunken God, I'm the ultimate adventuring bartender. No one will go thirsty on my watch!"


"No worries. If anything funny happened to my son, I would be the least of trouble for that poor soul. Also I have never had problems with Chosen, you are heroes at least you start out as that." Roland says in response to Zaidel in a pleasant voice, considering the words he just said that is disconcerting.

Sage is definitely a bit confused as a new quest comes up, and seems to need time to orient himself. But he eventually accepts and then gathers at the tavern. He finds a server.

"Rice--do you make rice here? I hope I won't be stuck eating bread all the time." He then joins the others. "Maybe I'm the seventh. You can call me Sage." Sage appears to be a middle-aged man of Asian descent, except for his owl-like wings that are presently furled.

Before the assembled crew, Sage begins to perform the "rites of understanding," a ritual. As the ritual completes, an amulet of resurrection and a potion of cure light wounds appears before him. "I serve the forces of law and order, the deity known as Asmodeus. Those who wish to join him may do so--I shall teach you the rituals and you shall receive your rewards for your service."

Jean is confused by all of this talk of rites and says, "Maybe we should look for that Belt Buckle. Hey, a bunch of us seem to have some attachment to the Gods. Maybe the other two do as well? We can see if there are any clues on the Buckle here and then swing by the temple on the way to finding it. Two birds with one stone." Jean says as he tries to avoid having to pick some Rite he doesn't understand yet. He looks over at Roland and gives him a big dragon smile as he says, "Hey Roland, do you have any idea when you last saw your buckle?"

Diplomacy for any hints on the Buckle: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11 Maybe I shouldn't have smiled. :P


"No, I have been looking for it for several days. I had to jury rig some rope as a belt until it is found. See!" He states and shows off this rope in his pants where a leather belt should be located. "It may be in the wash, my room, the outhouse, the shed, or anywhere in the tavern. You are welcome to look and if you find it I would be most appreciated. Though if a door is locked please don't bypass it."

"So the Chosen of this Quest have already arrived, or the Quest wouldn't say "in town" therefore, no sense staking out the arrival building, we're all here. At a minimum though, we should go to all the people we know, and ask them to send anyone new they meet to a central point, like the Tavern. So if Roland would retain them, and the clerics would send them, and anyone else could be told too, then Jean and I could fly ahead along the roads to see if anyone left town already, and try to bring them back. We could make that work in 9 hours!"

could fly off on my own and hunt for Roland ... the Breeze Spell was effective, but I guess my voice, not so much
