Done.
GM Blake |
Today is going to be--this week has been, really--busy, so I probably won't get slides and post up until this evening. Apologies.
FieryFran |
Samna can you check your macros figures please. I may have accidentally changed one (edited the wrong row)
Dyner Inazuma |
Looks like we're missing Samna and Jaxon on the slides, but with 5 hero points and a campaign coin, everyone can start with 2 points (though I know the campaign coin can be given away, but still.) If someone else has a glyph then we might be able to have everyone with two then.
EDIT: Actually checking the player page it seems that we are missing Samna as she has yet to check in. We might need to ping MattMorris somewhere before we move on.
GM Blake |
Fixed. Fran is back on the initiative tracker.
I fudged the numbers a bit--in your favor--with the last group to clump you guys together and lost Fran in the process.
GM Blake |
Power's back, so I can read the scenarios again. Internet has been spotty. We'll see how many posts I can make and send through between resets.
GM Blake |
Yeah. My eyes fell out of my head when I read the scaling instructions, but the encounter as a whole is not quite so bad as it looks on round one.
GM Blake |
Please forgive my delay as I untangle my day.
Children... they're a blessing, but woo boy... just... woo.
GM Blake |
Cross-posted with Alaric.
The coercion is a fail, but I swapped your Initiative to Intimidation like Jaxon and Kondai so you moved up to top of the list.

You need to land within reach of a creature. It doesn't specify an enemy creature, so we'll use Samna and then move you your 3 squares.
GM Blake |
These bizarre delays between submitting and appearing are making it hard for me to fix posts.
1) I keep forgetting: since I didn't give you instructions at the point you became dazzled/blinded, everyone must follow Kondai's pattern. Roll your attack and then roll your Flat DC.
2) Reminded for the Blinded condition, everyone is undetected by you, which means:
When you are undetected by a creature, that creature cannot see you at all, has no idea what space you occupy, and can't target you, though you still can be affected by abilities that target an area. When you're undetected by a creature, that creature is flat-footed to you.
A creature you're undetected by can guess which square you're in to try targeting you. It must pick a square and attempt an attack. This works like targeting a hidden creature (requiring a DC 11 flat check), but the flat check and attack roll are rolled in secret by the GM, who doesn't reveal whether the attack missed due to failing the flat check, failing the attack roll, or choosing the wrong square.
A creature can use the Seek action to try to find you.
Just swap "a creature" and "you" with each other in the description.
GM Blake |
You need to reapply Grapple each round in order to maintain it.
So you either try to hold the grapple and fail then miss twice or let go and miss three times. Either way, the leopard is definitely still alive and no longer Grabbed.
FieryFran |
sigh... I think I forgot to sacrifice a creature to the dice bot... I haven't hit anything since the goblin camp I think... the only damage I'm doing is the precision from missing...
Jaxon Richter |

Ah, that's how it works. Ok, Jaxon will keep hold of the leopard and miss on his strikes then. Still let's others try and kill it.
Edit: Using a hero point to rereoll Jaxon's 2nd attack
GM Blake |
I'm sorry, Jaxon. The asynchronous medium of PbP can make it hard to point out and explain things that would be quick at a table (and often not until dice are rolled).
Since you do not have the Grab feature, you require a roll in addition to spending the action, and a 16 was not sufficient, which means:
You fail to grab your target. If you already had the target grabbed or restrained using a Grapple, those conditions on that creature or object end.
GM Blake |
I should point out (ha ha) before Samna uses all her actions, that someone can use the Point Out action (1-action) to make one of the cats Hidden to Alaric, which would allow him to not waste actions trying to Seek at a -4 penalty.
Dyner Inazuma |
Samna! Just a word of warning Point Out is an action (and also apparently DOESN'T DO A D*** BIT OF GOOD TO BLINDED PEOPLE?! DAFUQ? PAIZO!)
GM Blake |
That's what you get for being CP 18. At least it doesn't change his AC, To Hit, or Damage. :)
Kondai of Numeria |

I don't know why he has a hard on for killing me. He keeps on saying to attack the wizard . . . but we have no wizards in the party. When was the last time a wizard punched someone for 17 damage at level 2?
GM Blake |
Victim of magical experimentation has a grudge. ;)
...you're also the one who's done the most flashy damage. Don't show off and people might ignore you.
GM Blake |
Jaxon's strike, following Kondai's crit, will finish the lion. I'll update after kids are asleep.
FieryFran |
Fran dances for the goblins one last time before departing.
Performance, Downtime: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
And proudly struts off to hoots of praise...
Dyner Inazuma |
Dyner does a request dinner for the goblins before leaving.
Cooking Lore: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
She does get a few odd requests for lion parts but for the most part it goes well.
