Xilt smiles at Nana's comments and is thankful that there is not a Paladin in the party.
"I am not surprised that you would say that. I highly doubt this drawing was made by a gnome, giant or otherwise."
He turns to Rallas.
"That is not unexpected considering the other evidence. Still it is good to know."
"Should we continue on at least for a while?"
Xilt gives a cursory glance to see if there is anything hidden especially near the mark.

THEN
Banentiir produces a third letter with the flick of his spring-loaded wrist sheath, and waves it at the shadows. * spoiler omitted *
The ratfolk steps out of an impossibly small shadowy nook between a stone doorframe and a porcelain cabinet, a sharply clawed dark-furred hand reaching for the letter. He then hands Rallas a fancy-looking gold-lined wand, then points at himself, saying "Would you please cast that on me, dear Xilt. I have heard that this is within your valuable set of skillszzzzz...." Receiving heroism spell from wand via Xilt
Once that's done, Skivven opens the envelope without a word, reads the letter within it, and pulls out another, smaller letter from the envelope, inspecting its seal, and running a thin nondescript wand over it.

Skivven then reads the content of the second letter avidly, then stows the letter back in the envelope, looking for a candle to melt the underside of the seal for the duration of two heartbeats before pressing it back exactly in its previous place.

NOW
After applying armor ointment to unseen metallic links covered by his dark clothes, Skivven nods at Bo's expertise, utterly fascinated by the monk's degree of awareness of his surroundings, before heading towards the half-orc wizard.
Skivven flips open his Messenger Wayfinder, uttering a command word in Ignan, and the entire party finds themselves able to hear each other's barest whispers.
Messenger Wayfinder (message at will, CL 5th; 5 creatures, 50 min, 150 ft.)
Tugging at Xilt's robes, he asks that his heroism spell be renewed, when the mage has a moment to spare. Upon hearing about demon lords, he readies his crossbow, loading it with a cold iron bolt. A wand made from a de-barked maple branch appears in his outstretched hand, but he merely keeps it at the ready, not casting from it yet, as he drapes some kind of camouflage blanket over his shoulders and melts into the shadows and pillars of the room...
Stealth, H: 1d20 + 25 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 25 + 2 = 28
A character covered by a camouflage blanket in that blanket’s matching terrain has concealment. Such characters who are also prone gain a +2 circumstance bonus on Stealth checks. The bonus applies even when the covered character attempts a Stealth check to remain hidden after sniping with a projectile weapon.

After opening it VERY carefully, a letter in the Trade Prince’s hand is revealed, written in a pidgin of Undercommon and an unknown language.
Skivven translates the communiqué as follows: Love Letter
✑
There are no hidden secrets relating to the maverick hieroglyph that Bo can ascertain.
Once the party moves through the entrance, the true scale of the chamber is revealed.
An empty limestone throne stands on a raised dais in the west. Before it, hawk or falcon symbols have had their talons replaced by crude drawings of snakes, before being splashed with bodily humors(?)
Four anthropomorphic falcon statues standing against the northern wall have been similarly vandalized to appear more like roosters wearing the crowns of the ancient rulers of Upper and Lower Osirion.

Pushing onward from the empty throne room, a side tunnel leads you into an irregularly-shaped cavern, perhaps 100 feet by 150 feet by 50 feet high. Splitting this cavern is a deep chasm, crossed by a natural stone arch bridge.
Eight narrow stone pillars mark the edges of the bridge, each with a dimly-burning human or half-human skull on top. The eight skulls provide little light—enough to illuminate the bridge, give hints about the dimensions of the cavern, and glint off a pool of water on the western side.
As you take in the cavern’s scope, four medium sized dogs pad towards you from out of the darkness. Two from the north towards Kernuffle and Xilt, one from the south towards Tad and the fourth over the bridge heading east.
They whine as they see you, like they’ve been abandoned in this place.

The Battle Map is also at the top of the page.

Tzleztor |

Magic Missile, CL 5: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 4, 3) + 3 = 13

The Thunder-Monk ORCS the wounded Green-eyed hound with his first bow shot. The pierced pooch moves on to its next metaphysical destination so quickly, that it leaves dust + ninja smoke in its wake!
As his readied action fails to trigger, Tzleztor can take a breather this round.
Tad Fort: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

"How interesting."
The wizard comments quietly to himself as Nana's pet enlarges. He has seen figurines of power before but none of this particular variety.

Tzleztor |

Tzleztor shakes his head at Bo's rather obvious question.
"Do they not teach you to know anything in that monastery besides firing a bow, very, very well?"
The mephit has a look as well at the new creatures on the scene. He has seen his master summon a creature almost like it once before.
K-Planes: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
I will take Special Defences and Saves(ranked in order). Both Xilt and Tzleztor will take their actions once they know more about what they are fighting.
