[PFS_CORE_Aerondor] Bonekeep level 1 (3-7) Nostalgiacon- Tier 6-7 (Inactive)

Game Master Aerondor

Part of Nostalgiacon

Welcome to the ruins of Bonekeep. This is the first (and likely only in PBP) of a series of special events designed to test your character to its limits and beyond. The threat of character death is very real in this event, but the potential rewards are greater as a result. You will be able to, as a table, decide to leave the event at any time should it become too deadly for you, except when engaged in combat. If this is not the type of event for you, now is the time to back out.

Shen's acid does seem to respond to the acidic darts of Shen.

It takes much longer than the with the warriors hacking at it, but slowly she melts the black ice statue. When she is about half way done it is apparent that there is something embedded in the dark ice...

It looks like a stone of some kind.

With the statue damaged, does the room start to warm up?

The stone within the statue looks very much like the previous one. Examination of it shows an almost identical aura.

With the statue damaged the room does not warm up. Cold continues to radiate from it at a distressing frigidness.

While the room doesn't warm up any, at least appreciably, nor does the supernatural cold still freeze the whiskers of those who enter.

A crash, a wallop and two bangs later and the door gives way. With more than a hint of trepidation the team peers in to what was sealed away...

The far corner of this gloomy chamber is dominated by a large black crystal, almost ten feet tall, floating above the ground, held aloft by ribbons of black lightning that flow across the chamber, to an odd silver mirror set into the floor on the opposite side. Another corner contains a niche of some sort, cloaked in shadows.

Bella thinks for a moment.
"Well, I usually save my summons to call Lite-Brite to me. Lite-Brite is a wonderful little creature."
She gives the group a rundown on Lite-Brite's special abilities:

Lite-Brite:
Lite-Brite has truespeech, so it understands Bella (and everyone & everything else, for that matter). It pulsates in greens and blues when speaking. Once summoned by Bella, she usually casts sanctuary upon it if possible. Lite-Brite will then fly around with its 60' perfect maneuverability and cast aid, at-will, on allies to grant 1d8+3 temporary hit points.
It can also shoot 2 light rays (+3 ranged touch, 1d6 damage, bypasses all DR) with a 30 foot range.
Aura of Menace (Su): A righteous aura surrounds archons that fight or get angry. Any hostile enemy within a 20-foot radius of an archon must succeed on a Will save (DC 13) to resist its effects. The save DC varies with the type of archon, is Charisma-based, and includes a +2 racial bonus. Those who fail take a –2 penalty on attacks, AC, and saves for 24 hours or until they successfully hit the archon that generated the aura. A creature that has resisted or broken the effect cannot be affected again by the same archon's aura for 24 hours.

"However, I can summon up to three small elementals or other creatures, if needed. They will only last a little less than a minute, though. Let's think this through. Anyone got any other suggestions?"

A sickly odor wafts into Bella's face.
"Good heavens! What is that stench? Did you have too many beans for lunch, Hádanka?"
Bella sticks her nose forward and twitches it as she sniffs the air.
"Wooo! Yep. It stinks. Maybe undead?"
She grimaces as she waves her hand in front of her face.
