"So, we're doing this? We're really going to just shoot whatever we have at them?"
Bella asks, looking perplexed as she watches everyone pull out their ranged weapons.
She suddenly flinches as an arrow whizzes past her ear and explodes into splinters as it strikes the far rocky wall of the cavern. She quickly turns to give Hádanka a scolding as he lets loose another arrow. The shaft skims along her hip, tearing her skirt, then bounces lengthwise off the wall and skids a dozen feet along the bumpy floor. The arrow nicks a stone and spins for a second before coming to a stop beside an ooze.
"What in the Nine Hells, Hádanka!?! You trying to kill me!?!"
She shrieks, fuming in anger.
Shaking her head in disbelief after the two near misses, she pulls out her crossbow and leans to the side just a bit to see beyond Tere as she takes aim at the nearest ooze. She fires a bolt which streaks underneath Two Blades' dangling feet as he hovers in the air.

And that is when things turn south a bit. The oozes slowly slip forward, unable to easily reach Two-blades. However the mighty scout clutches at his head as he suffers a mental assault. The shadows seem to gather around him, enfolding and suffocating him...
He is not alone in this, as Tere also feels a horrid pain in his head and looks around at his companions oddly..

Two blade screams in mental anguish, hardly able to hold his bow. He feels his heart start to slow down as it is starved of oxygen.

Shen's wand runs hot as she continues to pour magical power into the oozes.
Pau screams in mental agony as he takes on the full psychic force of whatever that ooze is. And then stabs it repeatedly.

Tere's arrow looks to be on target, but the odd colouration of the ooze is deceptive and it just misses.
Belladonna's spiritual weapon however strikes true. Two blades and Hádanka send more arrows into it.
Going to go with Pau now, as Shen's missile is a limited use wand.
Again and again Pau stabs the ooze, sending slime left right and centre.

And once again his sai comes out shining and clean, not in the least corroded. Alas the slime cannot say the same... it seems to have lost all coherence.

"Nothing for it, then." Tere takes a few deep breaths in clearer air, then heads into the room to look for the stone.
