Do you need to roll a Save before the Haunt actually triggers
I'm saying the haunt triggers while you're still outside of it, or you find a way to trigger it from the outside.
If you want it by the book, the haunt doesn't trigger until you're well inside the room. The haunt (and all hazards in general, to be exact) triggers as a reaction, and then rolls initiative. Come to think of it, your frightened penalty should apply to your initiative roll.
Metagame-wise, this is simply my way of giving anyone who doesn't want to go into the purple area a chance to opt out of the encounter. You won't take damage (and you can't disable the haunt) unless you're in the purple area.

So Haunt has two effects, one is an out-of-initiative Will save and the other is the Initiative damage.
Is the Will save a one time affair, or do we have to roll one every round?

I don't know the specifics on this one of course, but if the Will save is part of the haunt's reaction, we only roll it once. After initiative, haunts go into their routine where they perform the same prescribed actions every turn (the stampede in this case).

Your Chronicles can be found HERE.
Let me know if anything needs revising.

GM Watery Soup |

The game has been reported. Anjo, you mistyped your PFS number, so I issued a revised Chronicle. Slipp, you gave me Khaul's PFS number, so I also issued a revised Chronicle.

"Oh, it's so nice and warm here. The last time I tried to take a bath in a cave, the water froze over!"
Crafting: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 vs DC 14
The Merian Seiche Hot Springs is a success!

Herbal Lore: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Watery Soup, that is one of the better, maybe best experiences I've had from GMs in PF2. Thank you for answering questions and helping to smite confusion whenever it arose.
Look forward to playing in one of your games again.

Hey @WaterySoup - thanks for running this game. I loved it. I know that this scenario favors dwarven clerics or anyone skilled in dwarven lore, but I hope that Makai did not ruin the fun for others.
It was interesting to see how you run this scenario and its individual parts. It definitely helped me to compare how I butchered the haunt vs how you have run it. Well done!
THe only thing that I was thinking after I run my game was that before the last combat with Duergars, the bridge had an alarm spell on it. And that spell let duergars know that we are coming, I think it should be detected by a PC who uses Detect Magic (in this case Meepette) which would give us information that someone is there, probably waiting. I wonder what opportunities would it create in PBP vs how much would it slow the team moving into the final combat. Besides that everything was great!
@All - Thanks for the nice run, good job all!

Thanks Watery Soup and everyone! This was my first PbP (and my first PFS scenario as well), so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I had fun and am looking forward to getting involved in more!
Quick question...On the chronicle sheet, in GP gained, I know the TB is from the 10 Treasure Bundles, what what is the El from?

You're welcome, all.
I'm waiting for confirmation from Meepette and Martin that their Chronicles are good, and then I'll close this campaign.
